Charming home with fabulous views!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was well equipped and comfortable. Our daughter was graduating from the US Coast Guard Academy and this home was the perfect location for a family get together. Great place to stay!!

Lovely Spot

Beautiful views of the cove and very quiet neighborhood. The multiple sliding doors onto the patio allowed the sea breezes into the house. My family enjoyed being able to go out the sand bar at low tide, and the house was convenient to many attractions for children.

Spectacular Viewing

Truly, a wonderful relaxing spot to enjoy wildlife on the water. So enjoyed the sandbars at low tide, boating was fantastic from your own dock. Wonderful neighborhood, peaceful neighbors were neighborly. Definitely would love to come back.

Second stay at this house. Perfect area with water views. Love being close to Harkness park and Niantic where we have family. Great neighborhood. Lots of good restaurants within ten minutes by car. Comfortable and clean. Will be back again.

Wonderful waterfront location

This house was well suited for our family reunion, 5 adults and 2 teenagers. Spectacular view, clean, comfortable,well supplied house. What more could you ask for?

Perfect location

Beautiful views from the large deck and sun room. The dock was a wonderful extra. For us the location was perfect, close to everyone else attending the wedding we were here for. It was very close to the venue, the restaurants we wanted to go to and the beaches. The loft is a great space for kids over six, the stairs were to steep for our younger grandchildren.

Great getaway

We had a great week with the family here watching the tide come in and the animals entertain. Hoping next year to get some fishing in,, great location neighbors and house. It was like a home away from home. Easy process from start to finish, nothing amiss everything st our fingertips. A 4th of July for the books.

I’ve wanted to rent this property for several years and after our neighbors rented last summer and gave it a great review we managed to get in for a week this month. It is an older house but very well taken care of and the lawn and surrounding view of the water are breathtaking. Birds and rabbits visit when you are out on the deck and it is just the place for real relaxation. Comfortable beds and furniture are some of the added bonuses. We hope to return.

Right house, right place, right time

The house, 3 BR (plus a sleeping loft for children that we did not need) was perfect for our group of friends looking for a house on the water, centrally located between NYC, New Hampshire, and Long Island (coming in on the ferry). Waterford is a lovely town, easy drive to Mystic, Niantic, etc, Harkness State Park for “light” sightseeing. But mostly, it was the house, comfortable, well maintained, well-equipped kitchen, that allowed people (and one dog) to unwind, settle in, and catch up, with the beauty of Jordan Cove as our constant companion. Wonderful week, just before Memorial Day.

Morning, Afternoon, and Evening -- Always beautiful waterfront views! (stayed August 11th to 18th

We had fun as well as a very memorable time. The adults took our grandchildren (ages 2 through 6) out to the sandbars at low tide on several occasions.The kids ran around the sandbars and had lots of fun. In fact, the dock at the house made it much easier to carry the kids out to the sandbars. We found the house to be well-stocked with everything we needed. FYI: Across the Cove near Pleasure Beach on Shore Road, there is a small convenience store that also makes sandwiches, etc. We went to the Children's Museum in Niantic, ate in the local ice cream parlor, and explored the town shops and restaurants. Also, we took a trip to Mystic. Other than that, we enjoyed those beautiful waterfront views from the back patio of the house! Lots of interesting water activities: boats, jet skis, kayaks, sail boats, and the unique "bird life!" No need to travel far. It all happens right there in the Cove! Sharyn & family

Perfect for everyone

Wonderful spot, right on the water with a great solid dock for a boat and to go fishing or crabbing off of. Watch out for the tides or you can get stuck with your boat if not timed right. The low tide affords you and your little ones to walk out to sand bars that become visible. A true gem. The cottage itself is a wonderful place. The bedrooms are away from the living space and up a small set of stairs making for a peaceful sleep even with company or little ones needing to go to bed early. We had two littles in our group for the first week and they really enjoyed the loft area in the two twin bedroom. You will have to see it for yourself. Pretty adorable! There is plenty of bedding and towels to go around. The cottage lighting is not the best but if you play with the light switches you will find lighting along most of the ceiling which helps some. I understand why they don't want to hang lights on the gorgeous beams that traverse the expanses of the rooms. Perhaps some stronger bulbs in the lights that are there would help when playing games on rainy days or eating meals at the large dining table. The cottage was clean enough for the turnover time between people and only having one person. Janice, the property manager is wonderful to deal with, very responsive and easy to get a hold of. Overall, we had a wonderful two week stay and will look to the great cottage for future stays.

Ever changing views and the sound of the waves

I LOVE this spot! When I was a kid, we were a boating family, and this house is as close as you can get to the boating experience while on land. You can hear the waves on the shore as you wake up and smell the salt air. The patio provides incredibly relaxing and ever-changing views as the tides change. The neighborhood is charming and the location is close to lots of summer attractions. Janice is easy to work with if you need anything!

A lovely home away from home in the midst of beautiful nature!

Perfect spot for enjoying the wonders of the water and the comforts of home. The breeze in the house was amazing so sleeping was comfortable. Beds, furniture and all the items one needs to stay away from were very comfortable and nice. Highly recommended for kayaking and snorkeling about.

Fell in love in an instant

This is a spot with incredible, ever-changing views. So beautiful and relaxing!!! Being right on the water we got to hear the waves, birds and other natural sounds of the cove and Long Island Sound beyond. My husband and I and our two grown twenty-something children all felt comfortable and enjoyed this vacation so very much! We kayaked, used a SUP, and walked out on the sandbars. We also enjoyed walks in the nearby neighborhoods and an evening listening to music outdoors at the Eugene O'Neill theater center, which is close by. Janice the property manager is wonderful to work with and we would love to come back!
