The Carriage House at Woodhaven Farm is an immaculate, quaint and cozy cottage, beautifully furnished with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, living area, a fully equipped kitchen and a view of the Blue Ridge.
Woodhaven Farm is a working farm, located in Scottsville, Virginia, producing 100% grass fed beef. Surrounded by rolling meadows and woodlands, the farm is quiet
and wonderfully isolated yet close to many of the attractions that make Virginia a desirable place to visit. Stay on the farm and enjoy canoeing/kayaking on the James River and hiking, or use it as a base for visiting historic Scottsville, the University of Virginia, the Appalachian Trail and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Tour central Virginia's wine country or delve into America's history at Revolutionary and Civil War battle sites. The homes of three early American presidents, Jefferson, Monroe and Madison, are within an easy hour's drive.

Relaxing Retreat

From the moment you enter this property you feel welcome. The rolling hills, cows in the pastures and beautiful gardens wash away any tension you may have. The apartment is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully carried out for guests. What a great place!

Great Hosts and Accommodations Plus Two Friendly Dogs

This is the second time we have stayed at the farm and it remains as one of our all time favorite VRBOs. The farm is beautiful and peaceful. The carriage house worked perfect for us. The icing on the cake is that the hosts, Alicia and Tom are wonderful and make you feel welcome. We will return.

Beautiful getaway close to town, but not too close

Beautiful property, very relaxed checkin/out process and super nice owners. You’re likely to see cows from your windows and you might get greeted by a friendly dog or two when you step outside!

Beautiful Serenity

A slice of paradise

Woodhaven Farm is a slice of paradise! The Carriage House is a very comfortable space with everything we needed for an extended stay. Tom and Alicia are kind and generous hosts who made us feel welcome from the first moment we drove onto the property. Our dog was also happy with our stay! The property and large, quiet and peaceful - just what we were looking for in a VRBO. We HIGHLY recommend visiting and staying here. We were immediately treated as friends and we look forward to our next stay at Woodhaven Farm!

Heaven on Earth!

What a serene and beautiful delight this property was. We wanted secluded and peaceful, and it was just that and more! The property owners take such care of their grounds and every inch of the property and beyond the cottage was a delight. The owners grounds are so lovely with flowers and shade trees and special areas to sit relax and take in the sunset and birdwatching (our favorite activity, besides for petting the dogs). The cottage was well stocked and there was everything that one could need. Beds were comfortable and panoramic views were divine and breathtaking. We applaud Tom & Alicia’s apraxia touches in decor inside the cottage and the landscaping and comfortable feel of their grounds. We enjoyed a nice walk two days in a row and the remote respite found here to celebrate our 30th Anniversary, which was nearby our hot air balloon venue on our last day during our wonderful stay. We absolutely adored the owners 3 friendly dogs and the sound of Charlie the hound was music to our ears. We can’t praise this property enough and the hosts hospitality. We will look forward to sharing this location w/ friends & family that travel through the area, and returning again sometime in the future. This place checks all the boxes and exactly what we were looking for. It was Heaven! My compliments on the lovely flowers & garden keeper. All the flora & fauna was a delight to the senses. Can’t wait to stay again!

Lovely get away

The apartment is cozy and comfortable. Wi-Fi is excellent, but if you wish to access apps, Netflix, or Prime, it is best to bring your own computer. The farm is absolutely lovely, and the hosts charming, and could not be more gracious. The cabin is a bit of a way from town, so when you land, it is best to have all of your amenities (coffee, tea, sugar, milk, etc.).

Loved our stay!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in the Carriage House at Woodhaven Farm! We were happy to have our dogs with us, and they especially enjoyed romping around the beautiful property and visiting the cattle. We were offered farm fresh eggs from their hen, which was a great surprise and made breakfast extra enjoyable. The wild flowers immediately outside the carriage house were stunning! That mixed with the sunrise took our breath away each day. Would love to stay here again and recommend for future bookers.

This was our 2nd time staying in this cottage. We brought our 2 dogs. They loved watching the cows and swimming in the pond. We visited nearby Monticello.

A little piece of Heaven

Beautiful property, very clean, & the owners were so nice & accommodating. They even hand delivered their farm fresh eggs. Why stay at a hotel when you can stay somewhere like this? Highly recommended!

Wonderful, bucolic stay

The cottage was perfect for the two of us. It was sparkling clean, well appointed, and quiet. We loved having the cows as our neighbors. Tom and Alecia were wonderful hosts. Will hopefully be able to go back!

A wonderful location for a quiet getaway. The farm was quiet and peaceful. The hosts, Tom and Alicia, couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Our dog had a wonderful time playing in acres of fields and going on long walks on the property. The Carriage House was spotless and well appointed. We would certainly recommend Woodhaven to friends and family and hope to visit again.

Visit to the farm by the wine trail

The property is beautiful! We had a view of the fields and the cows from the house . It was very bright and clean. The host was friendly and always available if we had questions. We were in the area for hiking and vineyards and found this location to be accessible to both.

We came to Scottsville for a wedding. This was the perfect retreat to be close enough to the event, but far enough away to help us relax. Tom was an awesome host! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful weekend on the farm

This was our second time staying at Woodhaven Farm. Alicia and Tom are wonderful hosts. We were free to roam around the farm and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The cottage is very comfortable and inviting. We look forward to returning for another relaxing visit.

I can't wait to go back

This was a great rental! The hosts are so warm and charming. They made us feel like family. The accommodation was beautiful, clean and well appointed. There is so much light and comfortable seating. The beds and water pressure were wonderful. Then there is the property. Our dogs have never been happier running and playing in the endless fields. This was a dream trip. We'll be back again soon.

Amazing weekend escape

We had a wonderful weekend away from the bustle staying at Woodhaven Farm. The hosts were so lovely and welcoming and the carriage house was the perfect size for our family (2 adults, 2 littles) and our boys loved visiting the chickens, meeting the cows, feeding the fish and playing in the mud. We will definitely be visiting again!
