About this property

LUXURY Beachfront 3 Bedroom House with Casita (4th bedroom in Casita)

30 Minutes from downtown Progreso and one hour from the capital of the Yucatan, Merida. Our home overlooks the beach in Telchac Puerto.

Our home has 3 bedrooms inside and an additional bedroom in the casita. The casita has its own full bathroom with shower, and a small kitchenette.
Altogether, the home has 6 bathrooms. The master bedroom has its own bathroom, as does one other bedroom. The remaining bedroom has a full bath just outside the room.
The home is owned by a prior chef, so it has all the things you'd want in a kitchen. There is a variety of plastic and glassware, silverware and good dishes. Mixer in its own cabinet, coffee maker, tea pot, food processor, blender, and all kitchen gadgets you'd normally have at home.

After a walk on the beach in the morning, head to the weight room to work out. Or just relax in the pool or swim in the ocean.

At night, sit upstairs on the wrap around balcony that exists around each bedroom and head to the hot tub. The view of the stars while sitting in the hot tub is something you'll want to experience.

Two bedrooms face the ocean and have spectacular views. They both have queen sized beds.

There is one master bedroom with a king sized bed. Two of the bedrooms have sleeper sofas that can be unfolded. All the beds are pillow top with box spring mattresses.

All bedrooms have their own air conditioner.

The house is fully equipped with linens, towels, utensils, appliances and a full sized washer and dryer. In the tv room, there is a DVD player and multiple movies to watch as well as cable tv.
The house also has its own high speed internet connection.

We would love you to stay at our home, you will think you have arrived in paradise as soon as you step in and see the view. Our bi-lingual property manager lives a short distance away and will assist with any questions/concerns you might have during your stay. Prior to your visit, we can give you advice on vacation planning.

Wonderful house!

This is a stunning house where attention has been given to every detail. The accommodation is spacious and airy, the beds comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The decor is very stylish and the house is full of art and sculpture, The outside space is absolutely idyllic, with the wonderful pool area leading to the sandy beach. It would have been very easy just to stay and relax at the beautiful house and pool, but having rented a car we were also able to visit many of the sites and places of interest in the area. Mauricio was available to answer any questions we had, as was the property owner. Thank you for a wonderful time in your home, which became our home in Mexico and will form part of special memories to last a lifetime!

This property far exceeded our expectations. It is a gorgeous home equipped with all you will need.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location of this house was great. Close to all the towns stores, restaurants or anything you need. The kids loved the pool and the beach in front of the house is just gorgeous. Having grown up in Merida and still having so much family there, I know that this is definitely a home we will keep on renting if we get the chance. Highly recommend this home. The owners were amazingly helpful and friendly and their maintenance guy Mauricio is the same.

Peaceful paradise right on the beach

One of the most beautiful properties on the beach in this quaint little fishing village. Heated Pool, hot tub, gorgeous master on-suite and plenty of room for gatherings in the stunning open floor plan. Every bedroom has outdoor balcony access and a private bath; the grounds are well maintained and who could resist the hammock right off the beach front. The fully equipped Casita provides comfort and privacy for additional guests.

About the host

We live in Chicago and spend quite a bit of time in the home over the winter. John is from Cuba, speaks Spanish and enjoys the local culture. We are also interested in giving back to our community here. We raise funds for the spay and neuter clinics and assist with them as well. If you are ever here during the time one of the clinics is operating, we'd love to have you! The local vets give their time to this great cause and the local expat community have all contributed to this great cause.

Why they chose this property

This property is a great get away. Mornings are spent walking the beach with our dogs and then for Kim (a lawyer in Chicago), it is time to get some work in. Then back to the beach for some kayaking or just hanging by the pool. It is quiet here and if tranquility is your objective, then you are in the right place. If you are a person who seeks a lot of night life and clubs, then Telchac isn't going to offer that for you. You'll need to drive into Merida, which is a must see. Go on the weekends and spend the night there. They close down the main square and you can drink, listen to music and dance. Then you can come back to Telchac for a great time on the beach. There are a lot of expats here, full and part-time, so you'll make a lot of friends here if you want. During the winter months, there are organized night outs and the local restaurants and you'll soon meet people. People come here year after year based on the relationships they make here.

What makes this property unique

Telchac is unique in that it is close enough to the capital, Merida and also because it is far enough way from the main tourist attractions. You can live here. Relax here. Some vacations are spent just running, running, and seeing everything you can. While I'd advise getting out and seeing the cenotes and other attractions, you don't have to do that every day. This location is remote enough that you can just sit back and read. It is quiet. You don't have a ton of people on the beach and the area isn't filled with water skiers zooming up and down the ocean. It can get like that during the holidays, but for the most part, it is a quiet piece of heaven.
