We had an incredible weekend in a lovely community right on the lake - check in was smooth, the dock and water access were lovely, and it was a great space for our group. Remember to bring your own sheets and towels and you'll have a great time!
Beautiful lakefront view. House was clean and well equipped. Communication was excellent. Perfect size for our family, and the dock makes for an easy boating trip.
The house was the right size for a fun girls trip. The best part was the natural light coming in through the large windows facing the lake…it’s a happy place. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the large wrap around deck was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view. If you have a boat, it could not be more convenient, as the boat launch is right next door. All in all, we were very happy with our stay.
No air conditioning…if you’re renting in the summer it may be important. Beautiful home in a prime location, but in need of significant repairs and updates.
We had a great time at this property!! The house is very spacious and the downstairs area provides for an easy hideout for any kiddos (or adults). The lake was beautiful, quiet, and clean. We'll be booking again.
House was exactly as listed. Wish the schedule allowed for us to spend more time there. Secluded enough for privacy, but not isolated. Gorgeous view of the lake.
My friends and I booked this house for our annual ice fishing trip and were not disappointed. It's perfectly situated on a prime area of Fairview Lake with direct access to the public boat ramp. We've stayed at various places over the past 15-20 year and this one had everything we need. I'm sure we'll return next winter.
The lakehouse was everything and more than expected! It was well-maintained and well-stocked. We appreciated being able to dock our boat, go fishing daily, and sit around the campfire in the evening. Fairview Lake was beautiful, clean, and not crowded. The house was comfortable for relaxing, cooking, and sleeping. Thanks to the owners for allowing us to stay in the Sunshine House!
Property was nice. Lack of a/c and only window fans were a pretty huge detriment to our comfort. There are no ceiling fans. There is no space in cabinets for groceries, we used the counter tops. Fully stocked kitchen, plenty of pots and pans. Very mouldy/foul smell under the sink. Bathrooms and living areas very comfortable. Game rooms allowed for lots of fun playing ping pong and bumper pool. The park across the street was great for the kids! Sunsets, rainbows and morning mist on the lake were beautiful! Boat ramp next door was not overly loud and added to the scenery! Overall, good location and visit. Would not return in July due to no a/c, especially with little ones.
This house had everything we needed, and more. The location on the water was great, with its own dock. It’s near the playground. The house was very clean and comfortable, and had some activities to do. We had stayed here the prior year also, and we could tell they had made some upgrades, and that they maintain the property well. It feels like a family home, opened up to guests. Abby was helpful before the stay, as well when we had an issue with the internet over the weekend. They worked to resolve it quickly. Overall, the place is great for a family or friends, and we will likely return again.
Our family group thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Fairview Lake Lakefront Home. The house is located right on the lakeshore, with easy access for swimming from a dock.
The house has large bedrooms with queen-size beds upstairs and downstairs, with adjacent bathrooms, so it would work well for two couples traveling together. There are also two smaller bedrooms upstairs with twin and double beds that would work well for children.
The living/dining area is large and open, and receives good natural light. The kitchen, while compact, is extremely well equipped. The wrap-around porch is wonderful for sitting or conversation, and provides views of the lake.
Do be aware that the house is not air conditioned, so during the hotter weeks of summer, guests will depend on fans to keep cool (or they can take a swim in Fairview Lake).
The Fairview Lake Lakefront Home is a great property for a relaxing get-away with family or friends.

The house sits on a beautiful lake, but the house needs updating.
We had a great time at the house especially on the lake, but the house was dirty when we moved. The kitchen is very old and was also dirty with grease left on the oven and under the microwave. There was hair left in the shower drains and food left in the refrigerator. We had to spend a couple of hours cleaning it and the owner still made us pay the cleaning fee. The response was we should have called for them to send the house cleaner back out instead of cleaning it ourselves. Either way we lost time cleaning or would have had to wait for someone to come clean it up when it should have already been clean especially paying as much money a day that we paid with no air conditioning. The furniture is old, dirty, and uncomfortable.
I would love to recommend it for the lake, but I have to believe there are better options in the area then this house.
Very nice - was clean but all the finishes and furnishings are dated so they are hard to clean. Could use better furniture on the porch - especially need large outdoor table for dining. Picnic table is very uncomfortable.
Our family had a lovely time at the Lakefront home and would definitely stay there again. Great living room area for hanging out and plenty of room in the backyard and dock area for enjoying the outdoors. Easy check-in / check-out and plenty of family activites in the area including tennis courts and a playground located across the street.
Great lake house on a beautiful lake. Excellent dock for swimming, kayaking, and just putting your feet in the water. Fishing is pretty good too. The dock is amazing for drinking coffee and watching the sun rise!
The fire pit next to the lake is great. Bring camping chairs and firewood, it was a lot of fun for our group.
We had a fantastic time! The house and lake were beautiful. I appreciated that the home was very well equipped; it had everything you could need, with the exception of a boat. We had fun fishing, playing games, roasting marshmallows by the fire pit and enjoying time with family. It was a very relaxing vacation. Our stay was at the end of the summer season, pre Labor Day, so not many fish left to catch....but we enjoyed trying! Would definitely return to this beautiful home!!
There were four sets of families 8 adults and 2 infants. The house was perfect for a last minute getaway. When we walked in the house we were stunned by the tall ceilings in the family room and loved the wrap around deck outside. Although the kitchen was small for 10 people it worked out. We used the grill and cooked over a bonfire mostly, so it was definitely doable There are two docks where the boys went fishing and we hooked up our tubes and relaxed in the lake. The boat ramp is next door so there wasn’t a ton of privacy but enough to where we still felt secluded. The bedrooms were a great size, however one of the beds was listed as a double but ended up being a queen. The kitchen was fully stocked, there were trash bags, soap, cleaning supplies, and some plastic ware. (We brought our own, but it was nice to know we wouldn’t run out). The TV has cable and a fire stick with it so we logged into Netflix for the kids. Abby was AMAZING! She answered all my questions quickly and was so easy to work with. My only “complaint” is that the trash cans at the end of the driveway were too small to fit all of our trash for 10 people, so we felt bad leaving some of the boxes outside when we left. The house doesn’t have AC, although all rooms have fans in the which definitely helped, plus with the windows opened a beautiful cross breeze came through. We would definitely come back again and recommend this house to other families/friends.
We had a great week at this property. Lakeside views and dock access was awesome. Kids loved jumping off dock and playing on a paddleboard we rented. Great porch. House is a bit dated but very comfortable for a week at the lake. Many great hikes within an hours drive. Would come back again. Property manager Abby was very responsive during the whole process.
