Good location and spacious

A bit of a drive into Sequoia, but worth it. Nice little neighborhood where we had access to snow in the back. Lots of fire wood, and sleds for use. Neighbors were all friendly, met two of them. Lots of space for the family. Met all of our needs.

Ponderosa Snow Trip

Had a great time in the snow at the cabin. We had 6 adults and 1 child and had plenty of room for everyone. It was snowing when we arrived and were lucky enough to follow the road plow vehicle to the cabin from the lodge. The cabin was warm and met all our needs. Len allowed us to arrive earlier than the usual check in time due to the snow. Had a great time!

I’d rather not

Host was very nice. The drive in the dark to the property was harrowing but the scorpion in the bedroom that actually a bed in the garage was not fun. The weather was warm, couldn’t open slider because there was no screen, window screens had holes so no open windows. Torn or stained sheets and the creepy extra bed in a bedroom closet was unexpected. We expected rustic but the ants covering the kitchen counter the next morning was the final straw. We left and went to a hotel. The host was very apologetic and did return some money. He was very nice but I believe he needs to address some issues before renting again.

Cool spot, great house, helpful owner

My husband, dog and I had the most wonderful 2 day mini-vaycay here. The hiking nearby is really awesome...we had a great time hiking Freeman creek. The kitchen is well-stocked in terms of pots and pans and the fireplace is beautiful. 2 great decks as well, one is screened in. The spot itself is towards the end of the development so you really feel as thou you're out in nature (with the creature comforts). Len is a very helpful owner and was responsive and honest throughout. We purchased the extra package which includes trash pick up (really helpful so we didn't have to drive our trash out). Also, the fact that there is a working landline and wifi avail for purchase to check email made getting away for a few days much easier! Hope to stay here again soon!

Most amazing experience

Such a beautiful home and location. We were there when it snowed several feet and we were mesmerized by the beauty. The snowplow did an amazing job and came every day. Everything was easy and Len was there for us before the trip when we were worried about the fires and during the trip when we were inundated with snow. He was always available to answer our questions and to help with any needs we had. The area is fairly isolated and when you go somewhere like that it is for that beauty and isolation. But you need to be prepared when you go and understand you are fat away from a gas station and make sure you take food for the trip. No cell towers in area for cell phone service but landline worked. There was tv that worked and internet so not too isolated. The house was roomy and clean and felt safe. We saw a deputy patrolling one day. There are lots of places to hike around with the understanding that some areas are closed until they can be cleaned up, but the community is in tact. Loved the trip and would go again. Highly recommend.

Beautiful

Len, the property owner, was very accommodating. We had a bit of trouble with the VRBO payment system but it was quickly resolved and the owner stayed in contact the whole time. The house was BEAUTIFUL and clean. All the appliances worked and up to date. The loft is kid friendly, our kids enjoyed it very much. Lodge is very close by with yummy food. The only thing is that the grill is out of propane so you might want to bring your own tank because we had no idea where to take it to fill it. The nearest store to buy food is at the bottom of the mountain in Springville. Stock up on food and bring propane and ENJOY the beautiful house and nature. Thank you Len for giving us the opportunity to enjoy Ponderosa and Sequoia.

Ponderosa Cabin

The property was amazing! The cabin could use a good cleaning. We arrived and cobwebs were everywhere, the floors were unswept and no garbage bags were available. Other than that the property was incredible. Having a key to enter the property would also be a plus.

Perfect Springtime Getaway

We cannot emphasize how wonderful our stay in Ponderosa was. Spring break and it was glorious! Hardly any people, so we felt like we had the woods to ourselves. The house is very cozy-- great fireplace in the middle of the house, so it warms it rather well. Kitchen was well stocked with a griddle, blender, toaster, microwave and electric stove/oven, coffeemaker. There were plenty of towels, blankets, etc. Check in/out was easy (simple phone call). The power went out for 1.5 days-- and it was fantastic. We cooked our food on the outdoor grill, the fireplace kept the house warm, and there were candles to play games by. The power outage forced us to slow down and enjoy each others company. You can go for a hike right outside the door-- and it was so quiet! The gate on the highway was locked-- so we hiked from the gate to Dome Rock w/ our kids (9, 11). Wonderful. We really enjoyed the house, and Ponderosa. We are already planning our next return!!!

Perfect!

I chose this cabin based off my commutation with the owner Len! The layout was absolutely perfect to have family over and everyone still have their privacy. The refrigerator was huge and the heater worked really well since we were there during the snowy season. 10/10 will stay there again! Thanks again Len!!

Excellent communication

We have stayed here once before in 2019. Due to last minute emergencies we were not able to stay when we intended For our latest trip. Even with the non-refundable policy Len worked with my family and was willing to let us reschedule our trip. Looking forward to that this year!

Everything was perfect. Len was available for any questions and the cabin was big and beautiful.

Great views and lots of firewood to settle in and get cozy. We cooked several meals and there was plenty of everything we needed. The cabin quickly got to a comfortable temperature so we were always toasty warm. It felt like a really well-built structure. We would definitely consider coming back.

A fantastic christmas stay

The place was very clean, and had a lot of commodities so we didn't have to unpack right away to eat a little bit, enough space in rooms, sheets, comforters, towels and kitchen utensils ready for you to use, nice and cozy living room with fireplace and wood already cut to enjoy. Outstanding views, the snow and peace around the place made our christmas unforgettable for my family and me.

Good Stay!

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving here, and loved how there was plenty of room for everyone - we never felt cramped. It's a lovely area. Everything was very comfortable, and there was plenty stocked in the house for our cooking and baking needs. Len was great and quick to communicate with. The only constructive criticism we would have is whoever cleans the house really needs to pay more attention to the dusting - I had to spend some time finding a duster and cleaning dirt and dust off surfaces. Otherwise, we would recommend staying here. It's definitely quiet and peaceful!
