“Kanimbla” A Modern Country Homestead With Superb Views

Thank you to all our wonderful guests who have made “Beaudesert Cottage” such a success over the past 2 years. We are delighted to offer “Kanimbla” only 5 kilometres from “Beaudesert”, perfect for weddings, functions, family gatherings and country escapes.

“Kanimbla” is a large modern 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom country Homestead set on 550 acres of sheep and cattle grazing land, between Mudgee and Gulgong.

The architecturally designed home features a wonderful large open plan kitchen area complete with SMEG appliances.

Separating the two living areas is a double sided fireplace that is well positioned to heat the whole house. There is ducted reverse cycle air conditioning and electric blankets on all the beds to ensure you’re warm on frosty mornings.

The house is well suited to children. There is a seperate living area with a large television, board games and books. Bring along your push bikes or scooter, the verandah makes a great track!

The verandah has a large entertaining area with fabulous views looking out to the “Beaudesert” hills. There is a Webber gas barbecue.

You will find the pantry well stocked with tea and coffee plus the usual essentials. All linen and towels are included.

Guests are welcome to picnic in the paddock with the sheep, cattle and kangaroos or climb the hills for views or just enjoy sipping wine or coffee on the expansive wraparound verandah. The views of the hills overlooking the Cudgegong River are spectacular at any hour.

Should you wish to venture from “Kanimbla” to the many local attractions of Mudgee and Gulgong, please let us know if we can recommend some wineries or restaurants or assist in organising a wine tour or transport.

Magical property

We had a wonderful relaxing stay. Not too from Mudgee but quiet and tranquil. Beautiful clean house and many bedrooms. Big yard for the kids to run around in and a lovely fire pit to enjoy toasting marshmallows. This is our second visit and we will be back!

Long weekend

Claire's home was perfect for our group of 8 on the June Long Weekend in June. She communicated well and brought more firewood when we needed. The house is gorgeous and electric blankets a bonus.

Perfect for family reunion!

Found the perfect home and location for our recent family reunion. We had family coming from the US, QLD, Sydney and nearby Mudgee and Tallawang and all met at Kanimbla. Perfect size home for everyone to be very comfortable and sit around the fire, kitchen table or outside table to catch up with good wine and good food. We had a wonderful stay at Kanimbla. We’ve been visiting Mudgee for over 10 years and Kanimbla is the best accommodation that we have found. The house is perfect for a group. It is more spacious than the photos suggest, with plenty of space for everyone. Two living rooms is a wonderful positive. The house is very comfortable with everything you could need. The fireplace is fantastic. Our 3 small children had a wonderful time exploring, there is a huge fenced yard area around the property. The country views are spectacular. Afternoon drinks on the verandah are a must! It's very peaceful. And it is still only 15 mins into Mudgee. Claire is an excellent host and very responsive. We had a fantastic stay.

Beautiful property and easy living for any age

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at this beautiful and generous in size property. From our 80 year old dad to our four year old the house catered for everyone. Generous proportions meant we weren’t on top of each other. We will be back!

Fabulous short break for dogs and those they own!

A group of friends with our dogs recently stayed at Kanimbla and just loved it. The homestead is beautiful, in a gorgeous location and the huge and safe garden was amazing for the dogs. Communication with the property owner was very easy and everything went smoothly. The 2 living areas are most appreciated when there is a large group as is the large outdoor dining table. Beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was great. The views from the house, especially those country sunsets were stunning.

Claire’s house is huge and plenty big enough for 3 or more couples the beds were super comfortable.

We loved our stay at Claire’s homestead. It is about 15min out of Mudgee main town, however very close to some great wineries. I would recommend this home to large families - very peaceful and quiet.

Beautiful peaceful getaway

Three generations of our family had a wonderful holiday at Kanimbla. The home is beautiful with amazing views all around and lots of extra touches from the owners to make our stay even more comfortable. The kids loved it and rode scooters round and around the verandah and had lots of space to run around outside and explore. The huge kitchen and dining room and the two huge living rooms meant everyone could spread out and it worked so well for all our different age groups. We explored the area and visited wineries and then would come back to enjoy a BBQ watching the sunset in such a beautiful and peaceful setting. We are all coming back for another wonderful and relaxing holiday

Gorgeous Cottage

The photos and descriptions do not do this place justice! In real life, the house is incredibly spacious, perfect for groups. It is spotlessly clean, well located only about 10-15min out of the main town of Mudgee, gorgeously quiet and tranquil property and all the amenities available to make you feel like home. Would recommend this place a thousand times over. Our host, Claire, was incredibly organised and easily contactable.
