Great spot to enjoy the Mt Hood area

We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood setting of this home. The kids loved the access to the community pool, and we appreciated the fenced in yard for our furry family members. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked. The location is perfect for exploring the area with plenty of restaurants in hiking trails nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Great cabin

The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The backyard was great but for the road noise. Both humans and dogs enjoyed our stay, and Vacasa made everything easy and uncomplicated.

Great cabin in a great area

The Marshall's cabin was a great place to stay. The house has everything you need. A well equipped kitchen for cooking meals for the family. A nice hot tub to relax in (in good condition). And a fence yard for the dog to run around it. A 15 minute drive from government camp with easy access to skiing and sledding. The only reason I took away one star is because the Wi-Fi was intermittently working, In the hot water ran out way too quickly.

Too Expensive for the actual facility

This was unfortunately like another Air B&B that we stayed at. It had OLD pics of when it was NEW on the inside. It was not maintained well and was not clean. If they were to do a deep clean, fix the sink, and the wood stove so it can be used, it would be much better.

Stay ruined by snowstorm

Our family in LK weekend was ruined by the snowstorm on January 13. There was a downed powerline over the road to this cabin and Rhododendron. And all the power was out from Mount Hood down to Sandy Oregon. I have posted pictures, and reached out several times to Vacasa management. And have yet to hear about anything that they will do to help with this failed weekend. I am asking for a refund or at least a full credit for another stay. And I have yet to hear anything.

Disappointed

We are raising grandkids and all of us needed this time away. The house was ok but really needed a deep cleaning, it smelled bad so we opened windows only to find nasty unclean window seals, some pans we're put away dirty and small appliances were sticky unclean, We spent allot of time cleaning just so we could feel comfortable. I usually bring cleaning supplies with me were ever I go. It lacked dish rags so we had to use the one and only washcloth. The hot tub was great and we loved the walking trails. We liked the fact it was pet friendly but unfortunately people were a little too friendly with there pets since the furniture smells like pee. We left it cleaner than it was when we got there.

Awful property management

The living room and kitchen were dirty. Under the couch was an old meat bone and some other items, along with a lot of dirt. Under the cabinet in the kitchen was old dog food. There was some confusion on my reservation and if I booked a dog or not. I thought I had, but apparently I had not. Instead of just telling me this, the property management company said that I owed money and was very nasty about it. I will never stay in a house that they manage again. I was also given two check-out times of 10am and 11am. The property itself, except for the cleanliness is older. There is no master bathroom. It is definitely the right price for the house. The neighbors are also much closer than what the pictures show.

Mixed feelings on this rental

We rent vacation rentals several times a year and I dislike having to post something negative. The house was very clean. Unfortunately the hot tub did not work when we arrived so we weren't able to use it the first night and most of the first day until we were able to get a hold of someone to help. Once fixed it was nice. Biggest disappointment was the so called 'game room.' We had our choice of several rentals when we booked because we planned our trip early and we specifically chose this one because we had kids with us and we wanted to the game room. The game room was falsely advertised and was unusable. Very disappointing. Pros: Clean Good location Nice fenced yard Cons: Game room not as described- pool table is small and worn, ping pong table missing a net, basketball hoop broken, dart board unusable because all darts were broken. Other items in house were broken upon arrival- kitchen drawers and kitchen table chairs (not the end of the world, just made it a challenge to fully utilize). Lacking basic amenities- we had to purchase dish soap, trash bags, dish sponge, paper towel.

Lengthy but could save you hours of time

VRBO has contracted with Vacasa and this is our experience: Marshall's cabin was nice, however.... Vacasa was terrible. We arrived after check in time to a dirty cabin in the middle of a pandemic. I had to call Vacasa 5!! times before I got a "resolution." They moved us to a cabin 25 minutes away but not until we had waited around for over 2 hours in the yard of the dirty cabin. The new cabin had a broken stove, toilet and grill. Next day, two Vacasa employees entered the cabin unannounced & maskless saying we weren't supposed to be there (we were). We moved back to Marshall's cabin that night. It was a waste of our vacation time to move back and forth between the two cabins. Back at Marshall's the grill didn't work nor did the internet. 3 more phone calls and no resolution. I spent over 5 hours on the phone with Vacasa before the offered me a $100 credit. Another 1.5 hours of phone time and I finally reached a supervisor and was given a partial refund. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Don't rent from this company. They could care less about your satisfaction and openly went against the health rules set down by Oregon during a pandemic.

Great location - few issues

Overall it is a very nice little house to stay at. We are a family of 4 (3yr and 8mo old). Had a pack-n-play and lots of space. Location was great for all of our adventures: Mt. Hood, Cascade Locks, Zigzag trails, even drove out to Eugene to see family. Few issues, we checked in on a Saturday and Tuesday went to Eugene for the day got home late didn't realize the fridge had died. Called the management company early Wednesday to let them know. All of our food went bad, the fridge was warm so we had to toss it all - freezer died with the fridge...lost the ice cream :( . Hard thing to deal with when you're really trying not to eat out on a trip with little kids. They did comp us one nights say, which was very nice. Received a call on Thursday that they found a fridge to bring over, but by that point we had decided to cut our trip short and head to a hotel near Portland for Friday night (left Sat morning). Thursday night we picked up some popcorn to watch a movie with our 3 yr old - the microwave wasn't working. It did earlier in the week so our assumption is that it was on the same circuit as the fridge BUT when looking in the panel nothing was blown - so unsure. I did email the company again on Thursday and on Friday to let them know we were leaving and the reasons why. The house description is spot on - fully stocked kitchen for cooking, big rooms, beds were comfortable. Hot tub was great after a day of hiking in the woods - it rained the entire time we were there, but hey...that's Oregon! EASY check in/out process. I hate spiders and this house has some monsters out in the yard and the outside light by the front door - be warned :) also found some in the house as well, not as big but enough to freak me out - husband had to go on a spider hunt for me the first day and we continued to find them throughout the stay. House is in a wooded area but still freaked me out. Neighborhood is very nice, did lots of walks to help get the 'wiggles' out of the 3 yr old, everyone we ran into was very nice. Did not go to the club house, walked by though, looked nice. Over all we would stay there again due to the location and the size of the house for our family - appliances need to be fixed and spiders need to go :)

Cozy with hot tub and wood burning stove

This home was a perfect stay for our last 3 days in the Mt. Hood area. The warm toasty wood burning stove warmed the room so we could talk and relax after a big day. The jacuzzi is huge! It has a covered roof so rain or snow don’t impede the fun. We also loved being able to sharpen our ping pong and dart skills. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you need. One downfall is the couch. It is broken or something in the middle and needs fixing or replaced.

Second stay at this hidden jewel

Had a perfect second stay. It had been several years since we last stayed, but everything was just as great as I remember. Comfortable, cozy and unpretentious...exactly what we are looking for. We will stay here over and over.

Great time in nice place 👌

We really enjoyed this cabin. It had everything we needed including a nice hot tub! We also enjoyed making smores! Thank you for the nice selection of games! Had a little difficulty navigating how to play a DVD. We're not Xbox users. But we managed. We were hoping to be on a river, but found trails nearby and short drive to Trillium lake Loved how quiet it is at night!! Not always easy to find. Thank you for a relaxing time. We enjoyed ourselves!

Great cabin, and location

The cabin was nice and cozy, loved the wood burning stove inside, the hot tub was really nice and the back yard was beautiful. The king and queen beds were super comfortable, the bunk beds definitely made for children but it was ok. The only problems we encountered were the cooking pans weren’t great, and the spice cupboard needed salt and pepper. We wished it was a bit cleaner, the toilets were dusty on the top and under the tv stand was a thick layer of dust along with the blankets in the chest smelling like they had been used for dogs to lay on without a wash. But overall we would definitely stay again, with the hopes of it being a bit cleaner next time. Truly and beautiful place and location.

Great house!

This was a great weekend stay. It was cozy but with enough space for a family. The house is nice and clean inside and the master bed was so comfy. It would have been better with some kindling or firestarters since the wood stove was a bit tricky, but the heaters worked well.

Great get-a-way close to the city

This home was great. We all loved snuggling around the woodstove and hanging out in the hot tub. Home was clean and well stocked with everything you might need in the kitchen, lots of fresh towels, and travel-sized toiletries. They even have spare dog bowls and a leash, should you need it. My kids loved it, my little dog loved the backyard, and we all had a great time. Thanks!

Very comfortable place to have family vacation

Enjoyed being closer to Mt Hood. It is probably 10 minutes to get to the Rhododendron area Dairy Queen and 5 minutes to get to highway 26 for reference. Hot tub was wonderful to soak the bones after a day in the snow. The house was good for beds, cooking, hanging out, watching tv/playing some xbox. It has darts and ping pong in the garage with a heater if chilly. Would definitely stay again. Snow shovel was in back yard if it happens to dump some snow in the driveway. Neighborhood was a good location to take dog for walks (extra leash was behind door if needed). Thanks for providing such a cozy place to stay.

Mountain cabin

Great little cabin. About 30 mins from timberline lodge. Feels like you’re super far out of town which was nice. Comfy beds, nice hot tub. Had endless hours of fun playing ping pong. Loved having a fire all day long to keep things toasty and relaxing. Only downfall was the couch sagged so so much in the middle that we could not all sit on it; definitely need to upgrade that. Could only have a person on each end. Otherwise was perfect.

Marshall’s Cabin was the best!

Absolutely loved this home! So cozy and very clean the backyard was perfect for our fur babies although a little loud with the main road right behind but being fully fenced was a plus! Horse shoe pits were a great plus. Hot tub was amazing! Everything about this house was perfect and looking forward to coming back!

Only complaint would be the carpet. It needs to be washed more often.
