About this property

Heron Hut - 2 bdrm, 1 bath home on quite pond with private WIFI

A relaxing beach retreat with a peaceful view of the pond. Enjoy bird watching and fishing and right outside your back door. There are two bedrooms; master with a queen bed and a guest bedroom with two single beds. The couch is a new sleeper queen sofa. The living area is bright and beachy with a full-sized kitchen. Home amenities include; a refrigerator , range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, small washer/dryer, two flat screen TVs (with internet), central air and off-street parking for two vehicles.

The courtyard is fenced in with patio furniture consisting of six chairs, table and umbrella. A gas grill is also provided for renter’s convenience.

Assateague Pointe is a gated community with 24-hr security. It offers use of two large pools, 1500-foot fishing and crabbing pier, volley ball, basketball, game room, Wi-Fi, etc. The community is centrally located only 10 minutes from Assateague beach, Ocean City beach, board walk, go-carts, restaurants, and shopping outlets. The community is also located next to the newly renovated Frontier Town water park and theme park. Come and take our beach retreat for a test run … you will enjoy every minute.

Perfect spot to stay near Assateague

This was the perfect spot for myself and husband and 5yo daughter to stay. The community had a nice big pool, a pier to walk out on, a playground, and it was super close to Assateague island.

Perfect!

We have stayed in the Assateague Pointe community many times but this was our first visit to Heron Hut. We absolutely loved it! It was our best beach cottage yet. Very clean, well kept and had everything we needed for a great family getaway. The views were gorgeous. We loved watching the Blue Herons from our back porch.

Nice place to stay

Staying is really great at this place. It is clean and comfortable and has everything you need. The owners are easy to deal with. I have stayed more than once and will do so again. I even recommended it to friends who wish to stay in Berlin.

A Great Home for a Family Vacation

This bright, clean beach house was a great place in a community with lots of on-site amenities (pools, play grounds). The kitchen was well equiped and the layout provided room to relax and play.We had easy access to Assateague State Park and other nonbeach activities. The hosts, Rob and Lisa, were easy to work with and quickly addressed any questions we had. The check-in and check-out was simple and easy. Highly recommend the hosts and their home.

Heron Hut at Assateague Point

The Heron Hut was clean and had everything we needed for our week stay. It is very conveniently located to the local beaches, boardwalk, restaurants and attractions. Assateague Island and the bumper cars were really fun. Two minor comments on things that could be improved: 1. Fix the ignitor on the grill. 2. Try to eliminate ants. After losing some cinnamon rolls to the ants 20 minutes after arrival on Saturday, we put out another bait trap and that seemed to work for the week.

Great experience!!

We stayed 3 nights. It was a very nice, friendly community and the pond view was excellent! My husband forgot his wallet and it was too late when he found out to turn back. We cannot thank Lisa and her husband enough they mailed the wallet to us in time!

I have been staying in Assateague Point for a number of years. My normal rental was sold. I tried a different one last year and it was okay. I decided to try Lisa and Rob's this year. It was awesome. The best I have had yet in Assateague Point. I have already booked for next year. The communication was great the property was well beyond expectations. A truly great vacation.

Great Stay!

The first thing we noticed when we arrived was how clean and fresh the house was. Very nicely renovated and met our needs perfectly. Really enjoyed time at the pool and riding bikes in the community. Rob and Lisa were great with communication as well. We hope to come back!

My family has been visiting the area for years. This is our second time staying in this community. We love it there. It’s quiet and everyone is friendly. The pools, Playground, paddle boats and pier are a favorite for the family. We will definitely be returning. Check in and out were seamless.

Heron Hut

The property was well maintained and exactly as shown in the pictures. It was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. We enjoyed the local restaurants, especially the Assateague Crab House. We also like to eat in occasionally, so having the fully furnished and functioning kitchen was great. Owners welcoming and easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay there again..

Great Place

This is one of the best places for vacation if you want access to Assateague Beach. The size is perfect. It is really clean. The owners are great to work with. I will be going back again next year and already reserved the dates. Just and awesome place.
