I had a wonderful, quiet stay. The cabin was very comfortable and true to the listing. I felt welcomed and relaxed and throughly enjoy my time at the cabin. I am looking forward to returning for another getaway and bringing my family with me.
This little cabin is filled with antiques that remind you of simpler times. It is a great place to retreat from the busyness of life while still being close to Julian and nice hiking trails. Communication with the hosts was great! Check-in and check-out were seamless. The cabin was clean and had everything you need to enjoy your stay. Would recommend!
Owner was extremely communicative, reached out several times during our stay to make sure we were OK and to offer local recommendations. Cabin is exactly like the pics: very clean, quaint and cozy. Great experience would definitely rent again.
Really enjoyed our stay, particularly in this pandemic season. The cabin was clean and well-organized and our host, John, really kept in touch with us. We liked it so much we will be returning in January!
Had a great time. Crazy checkin, great communication, clean and very true to listing. We’ll be back!

Just wonderful! Cute little cabin which provided much needed rest and relaxation. Peaceful, quiet and quick drive to town. Legit ice box and antiques reminded me of my grandmother like a warm hug. Thank you for sharing your special place with us!

A special place full with vintage charm. Comfortable, cozy and clean. It’s super close to Julian downtown, Main Street. Communication with owners was super easy.
We stayed here for four nights. A good friend of ours was getting married in Julian. The main street/downtown area is really cool. It had a bunch of knick knack shops. We tried the Julian Pie Company. It was amazing. The Purple Owl has great food and delicious coffee. John was a great host. He was able to help us add a night because I had forgotten to extend our stay.
My only regret is not being able to stay more than one night. The decor was so warm, inviting, and interesting and the beds were comfy. When we first pulled up into the driveway, we were underwhelmed but as soon as we stepped foot in the door we were taken back in time. We highly recommend and will be returning in the future!
Loved the cabin with all its 1950s charm. Great location too. A mile from main street Julian and not far from lake cuyamaca. John the owner had plenty of information on the cabin and what to do in julian and surrounding area. Would love to come back again soon.

When we arrived, the cabin reminded us of the lake cabins our grandparents had and provided such great memories. It is full, and I mean full, of items related to the past. That’s why it is named “The Time Traveler's” cabin. John, the host, was very responsive to any questions I had.
Cute, cozy cabin in the woods in Julian. We (myself, husband, and teen daughter) went for a two night stay. Perfect for 3 people. Really enjoyed sitting out on the large deck, peaceful. My daughter enjoyed having her own room with a large TV and the hammock. Lots of antique knick knacks. Close to town but far enough away to enjoy nature.
John’s cabin in the woods was adorable and just what I needed for a weekend getaway! The cabin was tucked away nicely and surrounded by trees so you could hear the birds. It actually rained on my first day but I didn’t mind at all because it was so cozy. When I wanted to get out the drive into Julian was a quick 5 minutes which was nice. I would definitely recommend to stay here and don’t forget to read and sign the guest book!
We had a great time, loved the chickens next door and the trail nearby. The cabin is small, but has everything you need. The host were great and very helpful. Only note I’d make is, the mattresses are new, as noted- but, if your a sensitive sleeper, do know the box springs are pretty squeaky. Others seemed to be fine w it, as most says the beds were comfortable- just a note for those who are more picky 😊

This little cabin definitely takes you back in time! My husband completely fell in love with it and we really enjoyed our time! John was a great host & very kind. We will definitely be going back because it feels like home away from home. Thank you John & Family!😊
This cabin is extremely charming and inviting.
The beds and bedding were both excellent.
The deck and grounds are everything that I expected.
John, the owner, was very friendly and prompt.
The property is a 5min drive to Jullian's main street.
All the furniture and amenities are great. However, the main seating area is a bit cramped and the couch/chair are not something you are going to look forward to hanging out in. These could be upgraded. 4.5/5
We had a wonderful time and will book again.
What a relaxing stay at this vintage cabin. It’s small but cozy. The beds are comfortable and warm. The best was having coffee on the patio deck in the morning! It’s a short drive to town and nice hiking spots. Great stay!
I felt very safe and comfortable staying there by myself with my two dogs. Absolutely loved the large clawfoot tub! Surrounded by birds and wildlife, I loved my stay.
Just what we needed to renew our mind, body and soul. An amazing experience! Made wonderful memories with our grandson.
Thank you. Will definitely be back!
