Very comfortable property in a good neighborhood.

The property had everything we needed. Being avid TV watchers, the availability of only CNN and BBC in English was a bit of a disappointment, but we will try to rent this unit again when we return.

Fantastic colonial house!

We spent a week at Casa Camilla and cannot recommend it highly enough. The location was great - a short walk to the center of town. Heydi and Eric were very professional and extremely helpful. Nancy the cleaner who comes in 3 times a week was lovely as well. We spent most every afternoon in the pool and I had to be pushed to give up the hammock. It was very relaxing, apart from the fireworks the locals let off at 7am. Apparently, they do this for birthdays or any other celebration. There were plenty of English channels on the 3 tv's and the wireless worked well. Only negative (apart from the fireworks!!) is that the water in the shower comes out tepid, but as it is so hot outside you do get used to it, and you can always have your hair washed and blow dried at the local salon for $5!!!! Only wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely be back again!

What a great house!

Casa Camila offers so much! Nearly everything is as stated or even better than stated with the exception of the long ago broken jacuzi tub. Aside from the tub, it really was perfect! Huge kitchen and dining area, more living room/dens than we could even use! Billiards was a nice late night treat for all of us and the pool while small is deep and so relaxing. We had a few problems when we got their with remotes and AC, but Heydi had everything resolved quickly and professionally and none of these small things took away from our most enjoyable stay at Casa Camilla. Will definitely be back! One recommendation to management is that you do something about the drunks and junkies sleeping on your stoop and harassing your guests, this was not pleasant, but we just had to keep the front doors shut.

Great house!

The house is an easy walk to the center of Granada. The pool was perfect. Lots of space and once you enter the house you can get away from it all. It is very open yet private. It was a real value for everything it offered.

An amazing house!!!

Casa Camilla could not have been more perfect for our needs whilst spending 2 months living in Granada. The location is perfect and the house itself was fantastic. Comfortable, convenient and relaxing. We chose this house as my partner and I needed an office space to work from home. The small upstairs loft room is perfect, with a nice view out to the local church and volcano in the distance. The internet service was satisfactory. The pool was great and we rarely spent a moment out of it. The staff at Remax were very helpful and also the cleaning staff for the house were very friendly and accommodating, often offering us local advice on getting around and things to see etc. We'd highly recommend staying in Casa Camila if you have a family or are a small group. The only complaint we have is that we never wanted to leave.

Enjoy

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location worked really well - not far from the centre of the city. Everything was ready for us & any queries were answered immediately. The owner & his reps were most helpful. Having the pool was a big plus after hot days of sightseeing or just relaxing. Played pool for the first time too. Would recommend it. We enjoyed the local restaurant across the street, the owners were great, as well as on the weekend we tried the food sold around the corner by an enterprising family - delicious!

Great house to relax and get to know Granada

We enjoyed our ten days at this house. Centrally located, interesting mix of modern and colonial. Very safe and fantastic pool. The house has many open spaces and plenty of room to move around. The children loved the pool table and the swimming pool and were happy to have functioning wifi and cable TV after a hot day travelling around Granada. Jenny the housekeeper was attentive to us and Xavier made sure the pool was always clean. The air conditioned bedrooms were a nice place to retreat to after a hot day.

A little disappointing

We originally made our rental arrangements with the previous owners of Casa Camile. The house was sold before our visit and we're not sure what (if anything) transpired in between, but the original house description didn't quite match up with what we found on arriving in Granada. This house has evidently had "some" upgrades; the brightest area and most enjoyable place to relax in is the hammock and the pool area. The pool area had only 2 reasonably comfortable deck chairs. Our group likes to cook, and sadly, the kitchen amenities were such that we chose to eat out most days. The current owner however, was very helpful and quick to respond to a few requests made by us - for a good sharp kitchen knife, and some extra dish towels. Hot water was not available on our arrival; a plumber was sent to repair this and thereafter, some hot water was available in 2 of 3 of the bathrooms. Unfortunately, no other areas of the house had hot water. Apparently, water pressure is a problem in itself throughout Granada. The beds in each bedroom were very comfortable, and the swimming pool (cleaned 3 times/wk) was a true joy to swim in. The house location is a good 15-minute walk from the "Park Centrale" area of the city. We enjoyed being greeted daily by the extremely friendly local people as we walked everywhere in this very nice colonial-style city. Granada is a very affordable place to visit and taxis will take you anywhere for a minimal price. There is an abundance of very good restaurants in Granada. Mombacho Lodge (volcano and coffee plantation) and the Artisan Mercado (market) are both great places to visit while in Granada. J
