We returned to this property on Tybee Island for the second time, following our trip last July. We found early spring to be an excellent time to visit the area, with beautiful weather and no Spring Break crowds! This is a great spot to enjoy the beach, including from the deck and living space! The owner was very helpful, quickly responding to a question we had. Hope we can return again someday soon!
We stay at SBRC quite often. Knowing the layout of the buildings affords a big advantage when booking this property. This third floor ocean front unit was dated as many have said, but it was also very clean. The biggest advantage is the price point. It made for a very affordable weekend getaway for St.Patricks Day. In walking distance to Huc A Poos, Zunzibar, North Beach and many others. If you love the north side of the island and dolphin watching like we do, this is a great pick.
Basics are met. Property description is accurate. No notice that pool plus pool area closed or outside door painting occurring. Clear that updates are in processococcurring to
Overall, this place was perfect. We rented a bicycle to get around the island, everything was easy to find. Our view from the balcony was nice. We know not to expect great warmth when we visit in February, but we really needed to get away and celebrate my husband's birthday! The facility was clean, the property was clean and being repainted. Our space was nice-had everything we needed.
We stayed in this unit on 2/15-2/21/25. The location & view was great, but it was filthy, there was mold, the paneling on the walls was blushing due to moisture, there was no trim around the sliding door to balcony, the wind blew through and blew the curtains around. Attempted to reach owners, phone# listed in unit was wrong.
Although not completely finished, the remodeling of this unit gives a couple a larger bedroom to move around in.

A few issues . . .
It appeared there was some “work in progress” going on in the unit regarding the doors. The biggest issue for us was the lack of solid locks on the doors. The front door lock was simply a doorknob lock. There was no deadbolt (the outer deadbolt hardware was there but no inner hardware/deadbolt - the hole was empty) nor any chain or security latch. The “lock” for the balcony slider door was wedging a wooden board in the door. Again, the lock hardware for the slider door was there but the connecting lock part in the frame was not there (appeared it was a new door where the installation wasn’t quite complete). Not that the weather was good for swimming but the pool was under construction so empty & torn up (it did offer use of the neighboring resort’s pool so that was something). In regards to the above items, just some up-front communication about those items would have been appreciated. Other things: There was also supposed to be a 2nd set of the key & gate card in the unit but we did not see that; the toilet had a broken piece internally which sometimes caused the chain to get stuck in the flapper so it would continue to run and not shut off; the sconce light switches on the wall had no knobs; the stove vent had no light because the switch was missing. These were just several things we noticed that could/should have been finished or simply fixed.Overall the unit was very clean and nice. Loved the balcony area and The view was absolutely awesome!

The condo was in the perfect place. Beautiful view! Sunsets are amazing. There seems to be a few projects that are process, but overall a nice place to stay.
Second time staying here. We love the views, sunsets, and dolphins playing. Good communication with owner and made himself available to help with issue we had with TV. We just wished the window to the outside from bedroom was tinted more to prevent light from coming in from security light( we like a dark bedroom). Also, needs better pictures of the condo because current pictures doesn’t do it justice. Definitely would stay here again.
The view from the balcony was gorgeous and the beach access was really fantastic. That's what we came for and Tybee didn't disappoint! Enjoyed evenings on the balcony watching the dolphins, birds, and ships. The water was calm and neither the beach or pool was crowded. The rooms and furnishings had some wear and unfinished repairs -- could use a little update or tlc -- but overall very comfortable (great bed and HOT shower). The location was nice for hanging at the beach/pool. It was easy to get in and out to explore the rest of the island.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. So relaxing to be able to enjoy the beach from the balcony to start the morning, then it’s just a few steps away when you’re ready for your beach day. We loved watching the dolphins, the fishing ships and the container ships-always something going on! We were glad we brought our binoculars for a close up look. We also learned more about the container ships through marine traffic.com.
We loved this particular beach-quiet, not crowded at all. It was great to have the option of a pool, too.
We enjoyed the restaurants close by-low key and casual, just what we were looking for. The kitchen was equipped with all the basics for when we wanted to stay in to eat.
Looked like there was some maintenance going on, with new doors and windows. We could hear the toilet run intermittently, too.
Overall, though, it was a great stay for a quiet beach vacation! We hope to come back!
This was in the perfect location! I loved to sit on the balcony and people watch. It was a great place to watch the sunset and the dolphins playing.
The beach was not too crowded and just a minute away.
You’re getting the view here, which is spectacular. The condo could use some updating and a more thorough cleaning service. The sectional couch needs to be replaced or shampooed, and the toilet ran frequently. The owner was very responsive as I had to communicate with him before check in as I didn’t receive the proper check in instructions.
Condo has an amazing view of the ocean and North Beach. There were dolphins outside the room all the time. We sat out on the porch and watched them for hours.
The unit is well equipped and has everything necessary to have a comfortable stay.
This was our second stay at this condo. Clean, well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Bring extra trash bags, TP, and Paper towels if you stay the week. New patio door and front door. Beautiful view to watch the boats go in and out and all the birds and dolphins.

Location was wonderful. Furnishings and appliances were a bit dated but the unit was adequately equipped. Initially had a problem with the wifi. Sent the owner a message and he responded immediately with instructions to rectify the problem.
We have stayed here before and the view is the absolute best. So many dolphins and such a quiet area. The condo is fine, nothing special, but comfortable and clean and we had everything we needed. We weren't aware there was a Keurig coffee maker, so didn't bring our K-cups, and the coffee maker is a small one, but that certainly didn't affect our stay.
Simply amazing. The view from our unit was breathtaking, the view of the dolphins was nice and the water superb you could relax without the hassle of waiting in the next wave. The unit itself was a great location and well maintained. Felt like a private getaway! Will definitely be booking again.
We thoroughly enjoyed being right on the beach and by that I mean no more than 2 minute walk from apartment door to beautiful warm water and sand. The apartment itself was clean and basic and totally sufficient for our needs. ( shower and comfortable bed). Tybee itself has great warm ocean water at this time of year but generally we felt that the island itself is a bit run down and neglected. We ate dinner in Savannah each night as Tybee does not offer anything of elegance or our standards of offerings. Grocery store on the island is extremely basic and customer service at the store is non existent.

We're Hoosiers with a love for the beach, so when we found this beautiful oceanfront condo we knew it was a place we'd like to be able to share with others.
Why they chose this property
We love Tybee Island for its unique location... you are on the beach, away from it all. But if you want a little more excitement, downtown Savannah is less than 20 minutes away!
What makes this property unique
Watch the dolphins play for hours from the balcony. The condo faces the water, about 1 mile past where the Savannah River and Little Back River meet the Atlantic Ocean. Watch huge cargo ships on their way to the Port of Savannah, shrimp boats, and every kind of recreational watercraft out there.
