About this property

Elk Tracks Lodge

Come enjoy our winter wonderland or outdoor enthusiast mecca in the summer. Our home away from home includes two suites three bathrooms, an open great room, perfect for entertaining. Kitchen has huge island with four tall chairs for people to gather around the cook. Great entertaining cabin. Big picture windows to bring the outdoors in. It is incredible to be there when it's snowing. If you're lucky, the elk will walk right next to the cabin when you wake up early in the morning.

Easy I-90 access location

Great spot to meet with friends from both East and west sides of the state. Some wear and tear and the place could use new linens and a tv remote. The price was good and the hosts were communicative and helpful! We were disappointed not to be able to use the wood fireplace, otherwise property was as advertised and worked really well for our group. We had a snowy weekend and great area for snowshoeing nearby af Lake Easton or Canon Creek.

Winter wonderland

Plenty of space for our family of 7 adults and teenager, with private bedrooms. Loved the giant island and kitchen for spreading out food and activities. Definitely needed 4 wheel drive or chains to get up the snow packed driveway, but the plow left a space to park one of our cars at the street.

Quite, & Roomy

We loved our short stay at the cabin, the kitchen was fabulous for anyone that likes to cook. Big island and dinning table to host a large group. It was very clean. It is right off the highway which was great for us. My only complaint was the water pressure in the master Bath was way too hard, to the point where it hurt. The other bathroom pressure was fine. Also tried to watch a dvd but could t figure out how to get it to work, since there is no WiFi.

Elk Track Lodge is great

We had an amazing time staying at Elk Track Lodge. The communication with the owner was outstanding and the owner did everything they could to make us feel welcome and at home. The cabin is as described, with plenty of space for a large group or family. In particular the kitchen was well equipped and great to cook in!

Perfect family getaway!

Perfect place for a family vacation! Super clean and cozy. The kitchen has everything you need and the stove and over are the best. The beds were so comfortable it was hard to get up in the morning. We enjoyed our coffee on the porch and the kids had a great time playing and exploring the property. It’s a 10 minute drive to Easton State park with hiking trails, boat launch, swimming and picnic areas. Thank you for sharing your beautiful lodge with us, we will definitely be coming back.

Lovely acreage with ample and pleasant living space

We five adults and 2 toddlers thoroughly enjoyed our super snow special weekend at the Elk Tracks Lodge. The outdoor play met all our expectations. The kitchen supplied all our needs for our fun group eating with the open living space good for kids romping and games on the floor. The four bedrooms exactly met our needs.

We enjoyed our stay!

We loved being there while it snowed! We relaxed by the fire and watched it snow. Joanne was great to communicate with , she was very helpful and responsive. The only recommendations i would have is to have trash bags in the bathroom trashcans and to have the wood box next to the fireplace stocked instead of empty. We found wood outside in the shed though. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. We also like the updated kitchen. Making dinner was enjoyable in the large kitchen. Thank you Joanne!

Great vacation place for family and friends just one hour away from Seattle

Elk Tracks Lodge is a beautiful place for a winter vacation. The location is very easy to find and the best thing is that it is just an hour away from Seattle. We spent three nights at New Years at the lodge and had wonderful time. The lodge is equipped with everything needed to live and enjoy. The heating system works great and keeps the whole place warm and cozy. During the day we went cross country skiing at Cabin Creak, just 10 minutes away, the pass is 20 min away, very convenient for day activities. You need a Sno-Park pass for parking. There was lots of snow, but the driveway was nice and clean. The owner Joanne was very kind, trying to help with everything that we needed to make our stay most enjoyable. Thank you.

Amazing Lodge!!!

First let me start my saying that the communication from Joanne was great! There is always some stress involved regarding any stay in any place on vacation however, Joanne made things very easy and comforting through her quick responses. As far as the lodge this place is absolutely amazing! The lodge has an open concept so the extremely large kitchen allowed everyone in the living room to be involved in conversations and the kitchen literally has everything you need to prepare even gourmet meals. Most importantly to me the lodge was extremely clean, warm and the beds were extremely comfortable. All I can say is that my wife, children and the other couple we were with were thoroughly impressed. We have already recommended this lodge to our friends.

Best Christmas Ever

What a wonderful house. My family of 8 including myself and two children spent our Christmas here. It was perfect. The beautiful gourmet kitchen and great room were the perfect size. We had lots of room and a roaring fire in the wood stove. The couches and all the furniture were so comfy. And plenty of snow. We sledded and played everyday. I highly recommend this great house and location. Joanne, the owner, was so friendly and easy to get a hold of if you needed anything. Thank you Joanne!! The best Christmas ever!! Victoria and family

Great stay in a beautiful part of Washington. The home was more than comfortable for our two families and Joanne went out of her way on Thanksgiving day to make sure we had access. Loved staying here and would again when travels bring me back this way.

fully equiped and child friendly

We loved this house for our three families get away with preschoolers and babies. The kitchen was fully equipped to do all sorts of cooking, the house is child friendly with lots of space to run around. The king beds are quite tall off the ground so if you sleep with your baby you may want to use the other rooms. The owner was very friendly and easy to reach answering all the requests in a timely manner. We'll definitely reconsider for our next ski getaway.

Beautiful Winter Wonderland

My family had another fabulous stay at Elk Tracks Lodge! We returned to celebrate my mother's birthday and spend some quality time together. We truly enjoyed our time sledding and playing in the snow in this peaceful and serene setting. Joanne went out of her way to accommodate us, making the check-in process seamless, and our stay stress-free. We couldn't ask for anything more and are already looking forward to our next trip!

Great winter family get away!

We stayed at Joanne's Elk's Lodge for NYE 2016. We had 3 families with 5 children under 5. Joanne was extremely accommodating with our schedule and her house was perfect. It was extremely clean and comfortable and fit our families nicely. The kids had a wonderful time playing in the great room and playing in the snow while the parents looked on in the comfort of the family room. Only draw back was that there were only 2 master bathrooms so the families had to share showers - but no big deal. We spent one day skiiinf at Snoqualmie and another day sledding and ice skating at Suncadia. Overall, it was perfect - thanks Joanne!! Oh - there was also no internet. When I texted Joanne about it she responded immediately and suggested we use a phone as a hot spot and it worked like a charm!

Both the property and location were absolutely beautiful.

This property was clean and very well managed. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was also close to a little town called Roswell and the Red Bird Cafe where everything is made from scratch. The biscuits and gravy were delicious. But that is not about the property. This property also had plenty of DVD's to watch. It is also a beautiful place to go for a nature walk. I had several correspondents with the owner and she was very helpful and answered my e-mails promptly. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away for a peaceful relaxing vacation. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful home with us. Thom Smith

not worth the money

Unfortunately we had a very disappointing stay at this cabin. For a two night stay with the cleaning fee it was very expensive for what we received. We went for a snowy weekend getaway. The cabin was cold and we started by trying to build a fire in the advertised wood stove, typical for a mountain cabin, yet there was no wood and no instructions to bring your own. Next was dinner and the overhead vent broke and wouldn't turn off. After this we went to relax in the jacuzzi tub and the jets were broken. We called the owner, who was in another state, to ask about some of the issues. She was unable to do much from afar but eventually offered to refund a night. Once we returned we never heard from her and she never returned several emails. One of these issues may not have been a big deal, and if she had followed through on her word we would have let it slide as an off weekend, but we feel taken advantage of. Over the years I've used VRBO a dozen times and never had cause to give a bad rating but I would definitely take heed before spending your money on this property for a precious getaway with loved ones.

About the host

Born and raised in Seattle we wanted a home to get away to. We wanted someplace that was close enough to go to and use on a regular basis. We wanted somewhere easy to travel to without as much traffic and a different climate zone close to home. I-90 is an easy commute even on a Friday night at 5:00pm.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this place due to the high ceilings, fabulous kitchen, separation of suites and of course location. Easton is the outdoor mecca of Washington. We've got the lakes, mountains, hiking, skiing and snowmobiling.

What makes this property unique

So close to all the activities. Golfing and ice skating at Suncadia just 15 minutes down the road. We love being able to go to Lake Easton and walk right out of the house into the woods. Watching the elk walk by right outside the window is beyond description.
