About this property

A little slice of heaven on Lake George Direct Waterfront Private Dock & Beach!!

This is a newly constructed immaculately maintained year round lake front home in a quiet and private Adirondack setting. It offers an extended and spectacular 10 mile view of the lake and its surroundings. Either from the comfort of the interior of the home or from its 3 decks, the scenery is overwhelming.
Outside, at the foundation level there is a 15' by 35' granite stone patio with a 4.5' diameter sunken firepit that sits about 20' above the lake and overlooks the lake, along with a wood shed 20' away that's stocked with plenty of wood, and several Adirondack chairs and small tables surrounding the fire pit.
There is a dock to jump off for swimming and for fishing on the right side of the property as you are looking at the lake. In addition, there is a private 12' wide sandy beach to the left side of the property as you are looking at the lake, as well as a sitting area above the beach, and a large grassy lawn area above that.
The home, a 3 story structure, has the main living on the second level. The entrance door leads to a fully equipped modern kitchen for formal or casual dining. The kitchen as well as the living room have tongue and groove wood paneled cathedral ceilings, ceiling fans, a free standing gas fireplace, and hardwood floors throughout. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen sized beds and one with twin beds and 2 full and one half bath. There is a small deck outside the master bedroom with a special table and chairs for dining and/or viewing. From there, stairs lead to the lake and a 50ft dock.
The third level has two twin beds, a television, a 1/2 bath, and an attached private deck. It is perfect for teenagers or the younger kids to have their own space on a separate floor from the adults.
The first level at the bottom of the turret has a futon couch/bed fit for relaxation and comfort with yet another spectacular view of the lake. There is a half bath on this level making it easy to use from the dock. From there, one can go down to the lake and dock for swimming, boating, fishing, or just plain relaxation. There is also a private sandy beach for swimming and use of kayaks and a canoe which are included in the rental.
The house is equipped with forced hot air heat, air conditioning and a central vacuum system.
We are also part of an association that provides a lakefront picnic area as well as swimming, fishing and use of a large open sundeck covering a u-shaped dock.
We are in the Adirondack Park, next to several trail-heads for trails that go on for many miles with some leading to Anthony's Nose and several other famous spots in the area.

Wonderful house with a big boat dock.
My two adult children, my husband and I greatly enjoyed this property! It is on the lake and has a big dock, which we needed for our boat. We had access to the kayaks and canoe and other water "toys." There is also a small private beach. The house has a great firepit with a beautiful view of the lake. There was plenty of space in the house and several decks from which to choose. The owners were very nice and checked in to make sure all was good. We would recommend this home!

Beautiful & Private
The pictures do not do this home justice. The location is in a very secluded part of Lake George. The views are beautiful and it was quiet and peaceful. The home was beautiful, kept in immaculate shape, and the hosts were very friendly and hospitable. We all loved the home and had a great time. I highly recommend this home for a vacation.

Relaxing and Quiet location
This property was great and has so much to offer! From the kayaks, canoes and fishing poles, to the newly installed patio and fire pit we had a great time. We rented a boat from across the lake and they came to pick us up and dropped us back off after we returned the boat making the rental process so easy. The owners are wonderful and very responsive. If you are looking to rent on the quieter more remote part of Lake George this is a perfect option!

Adirondack Annie
On the spur of the moment, we decided to spend Presidents Day weekend at Lake George. Unfortunately, the winter carnival was a bust because the lake was not frozen. However the beautiful house and gorgeous views more than made up for a cold but snowless weekend. The house was emaculate and comfortable. We really enjoyed the wood burning stove. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. The large dock allowed us to experience the lake even with the frigid temperatures. We have been all around Lake George and this cottage definitely has the best views of the lake and mountains! The owners were professional and efficient yet very warm and personable. We are planning to rent this house again but I the summer instead!

Experiencing Nature in Comfort!
I stayed here with my family last summer, and we plan to rent here again this coming summer. This is a breathtakingly beautiful location; the view is to die for during the day and the starry nights! The accommodations are very clean, comfortable and lovely. It offers all of the comforts of home. We enjoyed our meals on the balcony, and when it rained, we had a beautiful view from inside. Speaking of view, all of the rooms except one have fabulous views! The one that does not have much of a view has a cozy get away feel with a private deck and it’s own bathroom. We spent our days on adventures on the nature trails, Kayaking, fishing, sitting under the trees reading, eating lots of family meals together on the balcony and picnic style on the dock. In the evenings we enjoyed the expansive sky, while both outside and inside relaxing on the comfy furniture. The sound of the water, the breezes, the views, experiencing the nature around us all would have been enough, but I was pleasantly surprised at just how comfortable, clean and lovely the house is. Thank you to the owners for sharing this gem with us! We look forward to renting again!

Relax and Enjoy
The picturesque lakefront setting captures a relaxing mood and potential for adventure in an Adirondack lakeside setting. The year round, fully equipped facility offers vacationers the choices of a romantic retreat or a family vacation with full access to the pure, clear and pristine waters of Lake George as well as hiking through the nature filled trails and off road paths of the Adirondacks.

Beautiful!
Stunning home in secluded setting right on the water. Kind owners who care about the property, the comfort of anyone who stays there, and preservation of the surroundings. The water off the dock is crystal clear - you can see the bottom about 14 feet down. One of the most beautiful and relaxing places I've ever been to in the world.

About the host

Host profile image
The wife and I are retired and living about 2 hours from the property. We had it built for our family which, unfortunately, is scattered all over so they cannot be there all the time. Correspondingly, we decided to rent the property for a limited number of weeks per year to those who would care for it as we have.

Why they chose this property

Our home is located on a serene and peaceful part of Lake George, away from the hustle and bustle of the southern end of the lake. We are located across from the Hague and the Waltonian Islands and are about 3 miles north of Gull Bay and 6 miles south of Ticonderoga. It's quiet and somewhat secluded, yet provides all of the modern amenities.

What makes this property unique

The property is called 'The View' for that very reason. The view when looking at the lake from the main floor deck or windows extends 10 miles south to Black mountain, across the lake to the west to the Hague and surrounding towns, and north towards 'Anthony's Nose'. The modern amenities, custom wood work and cabinetry, combined with majestic Lake George as a back drop, creates a little piece of heaven.
