This house looks out on the lake. It has a beautiful view. It is a ranch, so it is very comfortable even for those who would prefer to avoid stairs. We enjoyed our stay.
We really enjoyed the location and lake views. The only disadvantage was having to drive almost a mile down a narrow one lane drive to get to the house. Also, it was stated that there was an iron and ironing board but we did not find them.
Was the perfect place for our cousin weekend while being in Door for Fall Fest. Loved how secluded it was and on the water. The large living area made it perfect for games and hanging out. Will definitely be staying again!
Was excited after booking this place but this exceeded all expectations. House was stocked everything we needed (including toilet paper, saw some previous reviews). The kitchen was plenty functional for cooking big breakfasts every morning. Plenty of beds to COMFORTABLY fit our group. 3 cars fit super easily in the driveway. The best parts about this place however were the dock and the views. Being from the Green Bay area, I was familiar with the views and you couldn’t ask for a better view or the bay and the setting sun which we enjoyed every night. The location is also unmatched and we were able to do all the door county activities with minimal drive time. We had the best time and are already discussing coming back next year for a longer duration for more time to relax and also show my friends the rest of what door county has to offer, and sneak in a round or two of golf at peninsula state park.
Definitely a great place to stay. We had planned to bring 3 vehicles with 3 trailers, so the parking and private road were a concern. Still, we managed to fit all with a little coordination. The dock was an excellent harbor for our 2 boats. May be back again, but at a better time of year for fishing.
We very much enjoyed this little slice of Door County heaven. Tucked away on a tiny wooded lane and just steps to a large private dock and the water. Spectacular sunsets. Large screen porch to gather on. Plus separate screen porch off the master bedroom. Lots of chill-laxing was done. The home provided for all our needs with generous sized rooms. Located centrally to all the peninsula spots. Definitely recommend.
Overall a very clean cottage with ample room for our family. We had everything we needed to prepare meals in “Helen’s kitchen”. What a wonderful family cottage. It is clear that this family has worked hard to maintain it. The yard has lovely perennials and is well kept. Loved the note about filling the hummingbird feeder, and had many visits from them during our stay.
Lovely sunsets and a large dock to watch the sunsets with a nice view of Horseshoe Island. Enjoyed fishing off the large dock as well.
Lots to do in Door County. Took in a kayak tour of the bluffs, boat cruise of Sister Bay, and a play at Peninsula Players. Ate at many great restaurants throughout the peninsula. Chives and Lure topped our list.
We travel every 4th of July to Door County, and will keep this one on our list of one of the best!
Thank you Beart family for sharing it with us.
Our first trip to Door County didn’t disappoint. Home was beautiful, spacious and had everything we needed. Great location on the bay, tucked away so you feel like you’re secluded, but still close to shopping and restaurants. Brought family who have been to Door County many times and we all said we would return here in a heartbeat. .
We absolutely LOVED our stay. We wished we could have stayed longer! The house was spacious, organized, clean, and offered so many amenities/conveniences (linens, dishes, etc). Waterfront views from almost every room. We will for sure be back!
Loved staying at the property. The house can accommodate a lot of people and has 2 bathrooms on either side of the house so is convenient. Unfortunately they did not have any other toilet paper than the one roll in each bathroom. Also the precheckin instructions listed Wi-fi password was wrong and we had to search through the on-site instructions for the current one. The property comes with a fire pit but no firewood for either fireplace or fire pit. Some of these supply issues would have been nice to know ahead as the property and road are in convenient for multiple errands to town. Also, we had thought that the dishes were limited until we searched the dishwasher and found all the bowls and other dishes. Would have expected owner to have emptied that before our arrival.
After following a winding and narrow private drive into the woods, you’d find this property the perfect destination near the end of the road. Perched on a cliff overlooking gorgeous sunset views of Green Bay. The home is spacious with each bedroom having its own access to the the 3-season screen porch that overlooks the waterfront. The view from the porch was the perfect setting for a special meal from a private chef we hired (dcfreshchefs.com - highly recommended). The WIFI info didn’t match what we provided during VRBO checking but thankfully another guest had provided the updated password & we were able to get it to work. The master bed mattress is quite firm and the uneven stairs and stone path down to the waterfront and fire pit area could be treacherous for those with mobility issues but the privacy can’t be beat. During our weekend stay we saw eagles, deer, and herons.
Kitchen was small but has everything needed. Path to lakeshore is super dark in back at night, so make sure to bring extra flashlights and wood with you if you plan to enjoy a campfire.
This was a beautiful place to relax and unwind for a few days. The location was quiet and private. The home was comfortable and well appointed. We would stay here again!
Place was clean and well furnished. Plenty of room for the six of us. Short drive to Ephraim and Sister Bay. Came with a bundle of firewood for fires on beach. Boat pier was perfect for watching sunsets.
Beautiful, remote location. The drive from the main road takes about 4 minutes to the property... it's amazing. The view from the property was breathtaking. Gorgeous sunset every night. The fire pit is on the rocks by the lake and there are cute wooden stools surrounding it. The property was equipped with all necessary kitchen items such as plates, bakeware, etc. You will need to bring your own ziplock bags, aluminum foil, seasonings, etc. We really enjoyed our family vacation and all that Door County has to offer.
