With a large living room, dining area and kitchen on the middle level - guests will enjoy gathering as you can prepare in cabin meals with your fully equipped kitchen and plenty of seating. Second Stay at Elk Springs

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay in Elk Springs was great! Majestic Views was perfect for our group of 10 and had great amenities. Our coffee pot did not work upon arrival but the staff was very quick to deliver a new pot to the cabin. I think the resort is the perfect distance from the main drag in Gatlinburg and provides a great balance of being in a partially remote location with having plenty to do nearby.

Great large cabin getaway!

It is 3 stories so be ready to climb some stairs, but perfect getaway. Hot tub was amazing and on 3rd story w great view!

Great way to unwind and relax

It was very clean and the hot tub was especially a welcome treat after a day or two in Dollywood celebrating Christmas lights. It’s a very very steep walk up into the cabin so if someone is struggles with walking pick another cabin. We had a few issues and management addressed it immediately and sent a repair man named Adam. He was so polite and professional I would hire him away to work at my business if I wasn’t 5 states away. The cabin itself is very dark and furniture is worn out. Sheets were badly pilled but I expect some of this from a rental. It appears to be a much loved cabin.

Always a Treat to Stay with Elk Springs Resorts

Okay Stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of elk springs resort was what led to a positive stay. It was centrally located to all the primary areas we wanted to visit, hike and raft. The walkway lights were out and bulbs were not readily available for replacement leaving the primary entrance and walk way not well lit and where the bears visited due to the garbage placement. The furniture was well lived in with an odor in the main living room so we chose to use the dining furniture. Several of the cabinets were dirty or sticky. We had to purchase our own kitchen soap for our stay, along with extra TP and paper towel. The arcade system did not work during our visit. The grill was functioning but not well taken care of and would benefit from a deep clean or replacement. After 2 nights one of the frames of the bed broke, resulting in us having to move the mattress to the floor. The building management were responsive and assigned maintenance to us fairly quickly to fix. The overall stay was somewhat disappointing for what we spent due to some of the amenities or lack of.

Reviewer Comments: We loved the stay at Elk Springs Resort and the cabin we stayed in Majestic Views was just like is states we had other family staying there and we had the most beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains out of all the cabins! That being said I will have to say after seeing the other cabins I can tell you that this one was very dirty. The floors had never been cleaned the windows had never been cleaned. The door on the top porch was wide open when we arrived and by time we left the day before the lock stop working on the door so we couldn’t lock it if we left the house. I really don’t think I can blame this on the resort since I believe the rentals are owned individually but if this is so I would think twice about renting this one until the individual that owns it is willing to put a little more effort into the rental. But we love Elk Springs Resort just not the cabin.

Lots of room and a lot of steps

Reviewer Comments: A good space, but not good for anyone with difficulty with steps. Three floors, with no bathroom on main (2nd)floor. Suggested improvements: 1) put a keylock on bottom floor as well so you don't have to trudge up a dark incline at night to get into the house (and add path lights). 2) multiple deck boards with loose or exposed nails are a real danger. 3) add mini pool cue as the side walls prevent a real game of pool, 4) hot tub did not smell clean and sanitized, 5) dishwasher was broken all week, although a tech was dispatched for repair, but parts needed to be ordered.

Cabin Life is for me

The only negative is the internet went out in the middle of our stay, we called maintenance he couldn't fix so we had no internet or tv so that sucked. They only supply you only two days of toiletry items that's such a bummer for the expensive cost of a cabin. Blinds were missing from windows and blind pieces were broken off too throughout the cabin and one of the tv's did not work but I also did a complaint about these items. This resort has a great customer service skills! I will stay here again because of the huge size and layout.

When we arrived there was human hair still in the tubs and sinks that we had to clean . The hot tub had grey lint floating in it. The overall stay was nice and relaxing but I got charged $25 for dog hair having to be cleaned up yet when I arrived there was human hair in tubs and sinks and grey lint in hot tub all of which I had to clean myself before use. I loved the cabin and the space that we had for 10 people. The pool table was fun and the kids enjoyed playing it every night. The dryer was a little slow at drying clothes and had to be run several times to get the clothes dry. The cabin is pet friendly which is a plus but dog hair should be expected when the cleaners are cleaning.

The walk into the house was steep and rocky. Difficult for young kids and older adults. In bear country and the trash bin is right next to the entry steps! We called to ask about trash pick up and never received a return call from the message we left. The floors were filthy we could not take shoes off inside or feet and or socks became black quickly. The kitchen is so sparsely stocked only bare minimum pots/pans/dishes and not of a food quality. The location was great. But it was expensive and not favorable at all.

Dark lighting through out the cabin

July birthday trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check in was super easy and the cabin was nice overall. The bunk beds on the bottom level were broken when we arrived, as well as most of the rocking chairs on the balcony. We had no issue getting in and out of the cabin the first day using the lock on the main door but when we got back after dinner on Friday night we couldn't get into the cabin. We tried and were on the phone for almost an hour. The lady we talked to tried to change the door code remotely but it wouldn't work. After the fourth of fifth code we finally got in. So with that being said, I would recommend changing the batteries in the locks more often. Other than that one major mishap we had a great stay!
