The holiday house (four-star DTV classification) is a generous, well-equipped A-frame house on a quiet residential complex on the edge of Lichtenberg in the Frankenwald.
The house and the garden with a garden house are very well-presented. You go across the south-facing terrace and through a little conservatory with wicker furniture and a stereo system to the generous living and dining room with a sitting corner and a big, rustic dining space. A well-equipped little kitchen unit, a hallway with cloakroom space and a modern shower room and WC adjoin this. A narrow, space-saving stairway leads upstairs to two bedrooms and wall cupboards for your clothing. One bedroom is furnished with two single beds (80 x 190cm), the other with a double bed (180 x 190cm), but it is also possible to convert it into two single beds. It is possible to add children’s beds and/or a supplementary bed (70 x 190cm). The tilting windows in the bedrooms are fitted with insect screens. There are electric radiators. A camping washing machine is available for small loads of laundry, washes up to 40 degrees (3 kg dry laundry, spinning to 1.5kg). The DTV classification applies for occupancy with two people. As from about 06 December 2018 Internet and WLAN will be available in the house.
The little town of Lichtenberg in the Franconian Forest is surrounded by a beautiful forested landscape and it looks back on a 1000-year history. Ponds, lakes and meadows enliven the landscape. The late medieval market and the round tower on the Schlossberg with the ruins of the old castle wall characterise the townscape. You can visit a mine, the “Haus Marteau” music venue, local and castle festivals, the Höllental, the swimming lake and the excellent network of hiking trails, all of which draw many visitors every year. You can go on cultural tours in the area, as well as shopping and gastronomic trips.
