Very well appointed
Besides being a superb location and a spacious lodge, all needs were thought of: sheets, towels, dish soap, board games, books, stocked grill, kayaks, canoes, life vests, paddles, sandy, private swimming area. Kevin and Laura were very responsive hosts, and check out couldn’t have been easier. For eight adults and three little ones, the six bedrooms has plenty of room. Each had fans for hot weather indoors, and Mirror Lake was just right for cooling off outdoors. It was perfect for kayaking or canoeing around. At just an hour from Concord, it’s a delightful get-away!

January get-away with old friends
We really enjoy being at Mirror Lake Lodge , we appreciate the rustic feeling of this old New Hampshire building with it's views of the lake and mountains. We do all our own cooking, so, the completely furnished modern kitchen is a delight for our group to use for meal preparation and an excellent dish washer for easy cleanup.

A Wonderful Fall Weekend Getaway
From the booking process through the end of our stay, Laura and Kevin were wonderful and attentive hosts. We have stayed at this lodge in the past and the upgrades have been a great addition. Communication prior to arrival was thorough and had all the necessary information we needed. We took advantage of the fireplace and even got out on the serene lake for a paddle boat. We will absolutely visit again! Thank you for a much needed weekend getaway!

This was our 2nd stay here as a family, we loved it the first time and glad we could do it again. Loved the lake, the new hot tub, and all the water sports equipment. Always nice waking up to this view each day. The interior room options are great and works for a variety of sleeping situations. Laura was great w/ communication ahead of time - very easy experience. The Lodge has a well furnished kitchen, we cooked all our meals, we did not need eat out at all. cross-country skiing, and snow shoeing in the local area, and a relaxing hot tub soak after our activity. the rustic character of the lodge adds to the sense of a North woods adventure. would highly recommend this rental.

Just want we wanted...
This house was just what my friends and I were looking for. We had a party of 9, including 3 couples and one infant. House was great for that. Having the second half bath was a definite plus. Only some of our group went skiing at Loon for the day. A bunch of us did some snowshoing around the lake - walking on trails through the woods and out on the frozen lake to chat with ice fishermen. Hot tub was excellent and everyone had fun. I appreciated they had firewood at the house we could simply pay for as it was hard to find on our way up. Definitely recommend grabbing groceries well before you get there. Overall great stay, quick trip from Boston and we're already talking about renting again in the summer!

Great place
This old 200 yr old barn was great place for us. plenty of room for our family reunion (only 8 of us were able to go). Lots of beds. We brought our own kayaks however there were plenty to use. Gorgeous lake....one of our best weekends this year. Great outdoor fire pit, awesome deck. Down side is small kitchen... Old stove....however, we made do. The one bedroom next to the bathroom did have a smell to it, however, had a stained carpet, which someone thought an animal peed on?!? We didn't bring the dogs we planned on but it is a great place if you have one. Cobwebs around. But heck it's a barn! Would totally rent this place again. Awesome wildlife on that lake...just beautiful. Thank you Laura!

Great spot for a family gathering
We had our family reunion at the house and had a great time. We really enjoyed having our morning coffee on the porch overlooking the water and watching the birds. We saw herons, scarlet tanagers, grey jays and even 2 resident bald eagles! The weather was perfect, so we took the kayaks, canoes and paddle boat every day and in the evenings some folks in our group partook of the hot tub. The kitchen remodel was great and had many modern amenities like a dishwasher and dropped sink. However, the fridge leaked and the door handle fell off upon our arrival (while I realize the owners note that room temperature food in the fridge can cause the fridge to not work properly, the fridge leaked all week even after everything was frozen). Also, be aware that you'll need to bring or buy the following: paper towels, shampoo, soap and toilet paper (there were only 4 rolls supplied for 12 people). While I was concerned about only having 1 shower, it worked out fine and we never seemed to run out of hot water. The bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and we had enough towels, however I would recommend bringing your own pillows as the house pillows have lost their fluff. The house itself was quite private and we loved being right on the water and making s'mores around the campfire in the evenings. The owners and their children did show up at the end of the week - just something to be aware of. Overall, we had a lovely time at the house and were easily able to get to many destinations like the Cog Railway, Flume Gorge and Clark's Trading Post. The grill was large and worked well, plenty of seating for everyone for dining, and we had most of our meals outside on the porch enjoying the lovely view. It was a nice place for a family reunion.

Great family vacation spot
We stayed for a week in early August with 11 people ranging from 3 mos to 70 years old. Overall we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the place. The yard is huge and already had a badminton net set up when we arrived and lots of other yard games in the shed. The description states 1 kayak, but we were pleased to find 2 of them when we arrived and we really loved the paddle boat. The lake is quite calm since motor boats are not allowed and it made for very relaxing rides on the water. The house itself has lots of room with 6 bedrooms with a queen or full bed in each. The two upstairs bedrooms are loft style and larger with each having a separate twin bed so you could put 3 people each in those rooms. There was also a pack-and-play that we found and used. The house is very comfortable and very old/ rustic looking, adding to the charm. There were a good supply of window fans and oscillating my fans to stay cool plus two floor a/c units (though we didn't use those). Only downside to the old house was the stairs leading up to the loft bedrooms were very creaky and made it impossible to silently go up/down in the middle of the night when dealing with our infant. The hot tub was an excellent bonus! Another thing that the kids loved was access to the public beach raft just outside of the cove. It was a very short paddle around the corner to get there. My wife says If it included washer and dryer, we would have rated at 5 stars. We instead ended up using the same day drop off laundry service at the Thornton laundromat. $1 per pound of clothes for wash/dry/fold. Very little to complain about here.

The owners were pleasant and wonderful to work with we spent seven beautiful days floating on the cleanest lake enjoying kayaking canoeing fishing and paddle boating. We got to see a bald eagle up close listen to the loons and the bullfrogs. We slept wonderfully with enough rooms rooms for everyone which were clean. Fabulous vacation
