We enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is quiet and well kept. Location is ideal if you are flying in for a concert at Dickies Arena as it is 2-3 blocks from the venue. The only thing we noticed was the shower handles needs a little TLC. Other than that I would definitely recommend staying here. Oh and the Stockyards are only a 15 minute drive!
The house is so beautiful with all forniture that you need for your stay! Chris is super responsive! We will definitely back again if we are in forth worth!
It is a well located pet friendly place which is hard to find. The listing needs to improve the cleanliness and provide enough toiletries and kitchen supplies. There was only one toilet paper roll for a family for 8 days. Most surfaces were dirty. There are no smoke detectors. The owner was fast at responding for check-in and check-out.

Convenience to Dickies 5/5; Cleanliness 1/5
Walking distance to Dickies was accurate for an average person. Decent fenced yard; certainly nothing fancy. LOTS of pet stains on bedroom carpet (& pretty sure all rugs, too, as all rooms smelled like pee). Gross refrigerator door handles (tried to clean with paper towels & dish soap). Dish soap was also used as hand soap in the dispensers. Not much else for amenities. Not much else to use for cleaning either. There was dog poop all over the dust pan in the kitchen closet. The whole place just had a greasy ammonia (ie, pee) smell that made a 3-night stay almost unbearable. The living room TV had problems. The host responded quickly when I asked if there was a trick to it. Unfortunately, the response was that it was fiddly, he was out of town and was so, so, so sorry. We could live without one TV as we tried staying away as much as we could. I felt dirty the entire time we were there. Planned to cook, but didn't dare use the greasy kitchen or the nasty sponge lying on the dirty sink. I just hope the bathroom and the bedding we had to sleep on was cleaner. I almost made a trip for cleaning supplies, but my husband insisted they wouldn't NOT clean; they're making money & want to continue doing so. I'm not convinced there was any cleaning done prior to our stay. We bought incense and candles to endure the smell, but until the floors are replaced, this one is a 100% NO for a next-time stay! This one needs a LOT of long-term maintenance. And especially more effort to CLEAN!
We had a good stay at this rental! The location is fantastic, close to everything Ft. Worth has to offer, making it incredibly convenient. The house is small and simple, but it was the perfect size for my husband and me. It was clean, well-maintained, and the neighborhood felt safe, which added to our peace of mind. If you're looking for a cozy, no-frills option in a great area, this is a good choice.
The location of this duplex is excellent for visiting shops on Camp Bowie, Fort Worth Museums and Dickies Arena. Easy walk.
The home is older so don’t expect a new build but it is spacious, clean and comfortable with a fenced yard if traveling with pets
I would recommend for its location. .
Great location close to Will Rogers Memorial Center and Dickies Arena. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and felt very safe. The home is older so may not be in "pristine" condition, but it has new fixtures and appliances. It is well laid out and the heat and air work well. Host is great with communication and gave us great restaurant suggestions. Overall, a wonderful stay. Thanks Chris!
Planned a trip to see an exhibit at the Kimbell. This was the best place to stay for the cultural district. Cozy with all the amenities. Short drive to the museums and the Stockyards. Great communication with host when problems arose.Definitely will be our go to place on our next visit to Fort Worth.
We travelled to Fort Worth to visit family. The location is central to everything. Owner was very responsive. The house was clean and bed was very comfortable. Our dog travelled with us and the backyard was perfect. Neighborhood is very quiet.
Perfect little spot for weekend with partner or friend, close to everything, and king size bed !

Fenced yard perfect for dog.
This place is a diamond in the rough. With some renovations (that should be coming as per the owner) it could be a gem.

Great location-
Great location-area feels very safe, was quite, and close to all the fun areas!
As far as the home—it definitely needs some TLC and refreshing for the nightly price. Peeling paint on the front porch does not match pictures. Board under front door is rotting away
As far as pros and cons—all rooms very a nice size. Plenty of hot water and good pressure in shower
CONS- there were dishes left in dishwasher and coffee grounds in coffee pot. Dead bug to greet us in the shower. Sheets we old and did not fit bed-we did change then on night two and were fine. Needs side tables or coffee table in living room.
I feel like these are all things that if given more attention, the home would have been worth the price.
Next time in FW we will stay somewhere else.
This was a very charming house in a great neighbourhood. It was close to so many activities and good dining. Chris was very responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
If you are looking for a quaint cottage with LOTS of character in a GREAT location, this is the place for you.
It was a great fit for 2 adults and a pup. It would be tight for more adults. We stayed for a month while our home was being renovated.
You can't beat the location. A safe neighborhood and walking distance to museums, concerts, stock show, restaurants and bars. We walked to restaurants with our pup and dined on patios. We also walked our dog all through the area.
We had a few issues during our stay we had to contact the owner about. The owner responded immediately and resolved all issues in a timely manner, Top notch support.

Devil is in the details!
The photos are deceiving and must have been taken several years ago!! That nice paint on the porch and railings is pretty much worn off. Beware of “hidden” fees that make no sense…e.g. property fee of $250??? What’s that??!!
Dirty dishes In the kitchen. Stove did not work. We had to figure out it was not plugged in! When we arrived, we spent an hour trying to figure out the lockbox where the key should have been. Found out it was under the mat. This made us rush to our appointment. Only 2 hand towels…had to wash towels during our stay. The place had a good, comfortable bed.
The deadbolt lock on the front door was fine but the doorknob lock was extremely difficult to work once we had the key and was a fire hazard.
Nice fenced back yard for the dog.
Generally, the place was dark and outdated.
Checked in after a very hot busy day and was very nice of the host to leave sodas in fridge so there was something to drink and ice in freezer! The bed is very comfortable. Christophef was great and really enjoyed staying there.

About the host
Hosted by Chris O'Toole
I am originally from Dunstable, England, I moved here six years ago to be with my wife Sarah, who I met at University in Denton on a gap year. She purchased me in a bachelor auction. We currently live in Fossil Creek, Fort Worth with our two dogs Lola and Jack.
Why they chose this property
My wife's parents own a four-plex in the area that we have been managing as they live out of state, so we decided to try it ourselves. This house needed extensive renovation, so it has had a brand new roof, all new double glazing windows, new paint and crown molding, carpet, tile floor, bathroom, 42' (smart) TV's and brand new furniture and decor throughout. We decorated it with features that we would want when we stay at a vacation rental.
What makes this property unique
This house was built in 1933 and has a unique retro charm about it, with a new front path and stairway. The front patio is a great place to relax and bbq and the back yard has lots of room for dogs to run around. The interior has lots of windows to allow natural light inside.
We are only a few minutes away from the Historic Stockyards, where you can see a longhorn cattle drive, rodeo, visit the saloons and Billy Bobs the largest western dance hall. You will see lots Cowboys and Cowgirls. The Will Rogers Memorial Center also hosts year round horse shows along with many other events. We are minutes from all the Ft Worth Museums and down town.
