Great amenities, peaceful setting

We had a great time exploring the area. The house is well stocked with everything we needed including a trove of children's books! A selection of fresh fruit was a welcoming touch and the yard is lush and serene.

Great rental for family of 6

The property is beautiful and quiet. The owners were very accommodating. The home was equipped with kitchen equipment, and the washer and dryer were great to have. The fresh fruit was a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again, and hope to do so.

Lovely Garden House

The home is in the middle of a lovely garden, it is immaculent and there was a wonderful basket of fresh garden fruits and great toiletries in the the bathroom, which was a nice touch, the kitchen had everything you could need and nice back patio with Barbecue, the bed was comfy and neighborhood very quiet, there is 3 bikes and lots of water accessories, reef shoes, snorkel, beach chairs fishing pole. It is conveniently located between Hilo and volcano national park and Pahoa town is 10 mins away with great restaurants.

Beautiful and Amazing !

We had a great time. We could not believe how beautiful it was as we drove up the driveway. We felt so lucky to have stayed at this house. Clean, comfortable, and peaceful. We also enjoyed the bikes and snorkel gear. The neighborhood was really nice. We felt like we were in a whole new world. Thank you so much for sharing your home.

Paradise in paradise

We loved staying here. A lot of amenities and great beach stuff for use. Our kids loved it! The house was very clean and well-maintained. Ron and Noelle are making sure you feel like home. We haven't met Noelle, but Ron was very nice. If we ever come back to Big Island, we know where to stay! The only regret we had: We stayed only for 5 days :) Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home and especially thank you for the fruit basket, my wife was very happy!

Amazing stay!

I have to say the best part of our trip to Big Island was staying at Noelle's house! This house was amazing! The best place we have booked during our stay in Hawaii. Every detail was thought of: extra towels, a fruit basket to welcome us, fresh flowers throughout the home, laundry detergent in the wash room, even travel mugs for us girls to take coffee in! The grounds were gorgeous and so well maintained, trees and fruits of every type! The house was spotless and I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the island! We loved it here! I would only come back to Big Island if I get to stay here again! Thank you so much, we loved our stay!

Most amazing experience

This was such a peaceful place to stay. The hospitality with the warm welcome of fruit and bathroom accessory package was a great way to start. There was nothing but amazing local things to do around us. I loved that all the plants had labels on them so we knew what everything was. Staying here we felt like we were in a home away from home. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place with us.

A very peaceful beautiful and clean home for you to enjoy and relax!

The drive to the house was long. We were starting to ask ourselves what did we do? But when you get there, all the worries and complains go away with how beautiful, calm, relaxing the house and location is. The owner lives next to the house and is a very nice per. "It's your house, treat it as you will treat your house" he said. The house is very clean with everything well organised. Rooms are big enough for two adults. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Bathrooms are very clean and my favorite was the bathroom outside. There was a basket of fresh tropical fruit waiting for us on the table when we first got there. At night open the windows and let cool breeze with sounds of nature come in a give you a very relax and refreshed sleep. All in all, I will definitely come back again to this peaceful beautiful home. I just wish there were more rooms so I can come next time with my entire family. If there's anything I can suggest you add is more notes about the various attractions you have close to your house like, the house is very close to a volcano viewing site, a beach, hot pond. We didn't find out all these a day before we were suppose to be leaving. We spent time driving to see all these things in different locations when they were all behind our back yard. Thank you again and hope to see you in the not too distance future.

Quiet get-away

Property is accurately described compared to the listing and upon arrival. Owners show pride in offering this accommodation and keep the place decently maintained. Very well provisioned with various recreational items available for use. The neighborhood is very private, quiet, and rural feeling. It is a 15 minute drive to the closest shopping center and a trip into Hilo feels a bit far away at 45 minutes or so. Would stay again during dry season in this region of the island.

Wonderful home with all the amenities

Absolutely loved this house! Home was exactly as described and had everything we needed. Beds were great. Loved that we could cook right there instead of going out. We took advantage of the beach supplies and spent time snorkeling and swimming. House is located in a quiet neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again!

Loved It!

We had a fabulous stay! We enjoyed the bikes and playing frisbee in the rain. It was so nice to come home to our place after a day of Hawaii fun. We even had pets: A cat visited, A hen was sitting on eggs in the carport, geckos were everywhere, Mongooses skittered by, Our kind of place!

Beautiful gated home

My family and I enjoyed our stay, I just wish it was easier to get a hold of the property manager. Was unable to reach the on site property manager when we arrived (no one was home) and upon calling a few times and emailing the property manager a few times after waiting around for 30-35min we were able to reach the property manager for the lock box code. It was a really hot day, my babies were tired and we just wanted to relax in the house but had to wait outside for a while. I understand things come up but communication is a big thing for me. Also, the house floors seem to be sticky and thick of dirt and dust. Our feet seemed to be covered and black just walking in the house. Other than that, the home is beautiful and a very nice space to have kids run around outside in the big gated yard :)

Loved our stay

We really enjoyed stay here. The outdoor bathroom was beautiful and we were able to shower at the same time without one of us freezing! It was handy having everything we needed just like home! Having a car port was super handy as it was raining when we arrived home a few times! Being able to cook most of our meals right at home helped make it more affordable so we could shop more. And the large selection of movies were great when we got home and just wanted to chill! I told my daughter last night...”I will never stay in a motel again this is so much nicer!” It was also great having the use of towels snorkeling equipment and biggie boards! The fruit bowl was great my daughter tried the pineapple and said it was the best she’d ever had as she usually doesn’t eat it! All in all it was very impressive. And if we come back to Hawaii or if our friends do we will stay here again!!! Thanx a bunch!

A little too close to the lava

Comfortable, lack of supplies in kitchen, the whole volcano thing with earthquakes and lava was unexpected, the sirens going off At two in the morning was different. Running for our lives was interesting, I dare say we will never forget our stay

Great time with family of 4

Visited with my two early teen kids. House was clean and very up to date. We brought our own bottled water but was not needed as there was a water filtration unit there. All the necessary toiletries were provided. Even sunscreen. It was also a very quiet area so all you hear are the critters living in the area. it did rain a lot while we were there so we didn't have a chance to experience to property, also really helped having a car port keeping us dry. We were also really busy out seeing and enjoying Hilo and Pahoa. The fruit basket was great, fruits were to die for. Wish we had a few more days to enjoy the area. There's a little town near buy Old pahoa, you have to try the fish and chips at the Fresh Fish Restaurant. people in the area are so friendly. We want to visit again.

Lush Tropical Getaway

Well appointed home for a family or 2 couples located in a quiet neighborhood looking to explore the Puna Coast. The welcome fruit bowl to the lovely well kept tropical gardens made us feel at home. This is the rainy side of the island so need to be aware of an increase in humidity. If one wants to visit Volcano it is about 40 minutes away and Hilo is about 20 minutes.

Do it all over again!

The location is a peaceful, natural setting without any ambient road noise. So easy to unwind and relax here - tropical & rural feel (Hilo 20 minutes away). Also, many "gems" to visit nearby. The house was clean and well stocked. I think anyone would appreciate the exceeding value found staying here. I liked the open floor plan and the "garage" bathroom. Its shower with high windows makes it feel like you're almost outdoors. The owner is friendly, and easy to work with. They've provided a notebook with recommended places to visit. There could be a better place to stay in the area, but highly unlikely.

Beautiful house and botanical yard!

We loved this home! Located outside of Pahoa, the home is situated on a large lot that has been meticulously maintained. There are several fruit trees throughout the property. We were greeted with a fresh bowl of fruit (I loved the bananas!). The home itself is clean and has everything you could ever need. The beds were very comfortable. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

I am a native Oregonian that has spent the last 20 years managing commercial construction projects and decided to retire in Paradise.

Why they chose this property

I purchased this raw acre of Jungle because I truly enjoy the serenity and peace of this area of Hawaii. The laid back feel and slow pace is just what everyone needs once in a while ! I have worked for nearly 4 years clearing and manicuring the grounds into an enjoyable oasis and a cozy private home tucked away behind the foliage is your to enjoy while you can.

What makes this property unique

My Villa is the closet thing to the comforts of home that you will find with attention to detail in the craftsmanship and hand built rock garden walls. I have planted thousands of Trees, Palms, Orchids, Ferns, Birds of Paradise, Ginger, Hibiscus plants to name a few. I pride myself on the grounds and the natural beauty of the native plants.
