This spacious cottage home has five bedrooms, four of which have room AC. Any kitchen utensil imaginable is provided. The shaded patio with a ceiling fan allows comfortable outdoor dining. The owner is responsive to any questions. We used the kayaks and canoe provided daily. We loved our 3 weeks on the lake!
This is an amazing lake experience. The water, accessibility, view, dock, deck, and boats/jackets are outstanding and make for a peaceful** family lake experience. The house is spacious and well stocked. Cassandra and Sarah were responsive and helpful.
Unfortunately, our visit coincided with a heat dome and while the listing states that the house is 'air conditioned', what that means (as of 6/2024) is portable units in some of the bedrooms while the main quarters are not conditioned at all and would consistently maintain a temp several degrees above the ambient -- well into the mid-90s with 90+% humidity in our case. Any time spent inside (especially cooking) was uncomfortable and bordering on ill-advised for vulnerable persons. While a visit during a more temperate clime would obviate this issue (and no one can be blamed for the weather), had we known the specifics of the AC configuration, we would have likely sought a different property for our summer visit. Unfortunately, the moderate summers of our youth are passing and premium priced properties may find modifying their infrastucture accordingly would be a game changer during extreme conditions.
**A new house is being constructed nearby and the sounds of electric saws and hammering took a little off of the overall shalom of the cove. Happily, the impressive industry demonstrated by the carpenters during an exceptionally hot summer weekend suggests the overall construction period will be mercifully brief.
Perfect family vacation. Everyone had a wonderful time - sun, water, spectacular view - who could ask for more. Kayaked, canoed, and swam everyday. Lots of room to spread out so we weren't on top of each other, but also great indoor and outdoor spaces to gather.
This is an absolutely exceptional location on Canandaigua Lake—beautiful view, level beach, few steps to lake, protected cove, southern end beauty with less water traffic and noise. We had a wonderful time for all ages—two year olds loved the little pebble beach for playing and swimming, older folks enjoyed water sports on a tri-toon rental from Smith Boys very close by and used the canoe and kayak every day. There is plenty of room to spread out, inside and out. We are really hoping to find a week to rent again next year!
Fantastic location on quiet cove, perfect for boating, tubing, water skiing, paddleboarding, sailing. Property is a little tired looking--needs some updating. Well stocked with everything you'll need. Be sure to stock up on groceries at Wegmans in Canandaigua because its too far to go back for more during the week. There are 2 frigs, so there will be plenty of space for storing your food. Store in Naples is very small and awful! Any appliance you could want is in the cottage for your use. Kids of all ages loved this place, as did Mom, Dad, Grandma, and Grandpa. Highly recommend!!
This was our second time staying here and we had another amazing week. The deck and living room fit our family with plenty of space and we made several dinners in the well appointed kitchen. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were very clean. Lake access is perfect - you can walk in from the beach or use the dock/ladder. No seaweed or zebra mussels. But nothing can top the incredible views of the lake. We can’t wait to come back!
Everything was perfect, many memories were made, spacious house big bedrooms and eating area, can’t beat the view, swimming fishing bonfires, my recommendation bring stand up paddle boards and just float in the area, beautiful
Family vacation with older parents, and sister and her husband. House is in perfect location in a cove on the lake. House is as described. Naples is about 10 miles to the south with restaurants, Reservoir Creek Golf Course is beautiful, and Canandaigua is about 20 miles north. We also golfed at Majestic Hills. We traveled to Letchworth State Park, my brother-in-law is an earth science teacher - it was a full day and wonderful, we did a winery tour one day too. There is a canoe and kayak at the house, which we used, and we rented a paddleboard for the week. We ran into a few glitches, but communication with the owner was wonderful, we always received a prompt response. There is no air conditioning in the kitchen and main living area, as noted in the house description, which we found to be uncomfortable, because temperatures for 3 days were in high 80's, and did not cool off much at night. We would recommend that the owner look into getting a split system, even though summer season is not long. The air conditioners in each bedroom worked well. The beds were comfortable, except for, per my sister, the bed in the main bedroom downstairs. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need, and we ate all of our meals outside on the deck. The hot tub was great. We utilized the fire pit. We had a wonderful week and would highly recommend this home.
Perfect for a multi-generation family stay. Lots of places for the whole family to gather, and lots of room to spread out so we weren't on top of each other. Loved that the cottage is at water level so you just walk down a couple of steps from the deck and into the water. We used the canoe and kayak daily.
More than enough life jackets for everyone (we did bring our own for the infant). We have already booked for next year!!
While our family can’t do many things due to trouble traveling with a disabled child, this home is our way of having a summer vacation in a chair accessible home with the most beautiful views and perfect little cove!
We were looking for a chilled out place to relax with 2 teenage kids where the kids would have something to do and the adults could unwind. This was definitely it. I reckon this house is in one of the best locations on the lake as it’s in a cove. The views are really amazing and just uplifted me after being stuck in an office. House is super spacious and while the kitchen is small, we did a ton of cooking in it plus bbqing outside and it had everything we needed. Loved the views from the living room and master bedroom. We also really liked Naples. It’s small but has everything you need including a pretty good supermarket. And the best thing was the nearby very relaxed and incredibly pretty golf course - reservoir creek whcuh we really enjoyed. We hope to return next summer! Kids had a great time jumping off the dock and swimming plus we rented a boat whcjh you can tie up right outside the house which they loved. Cassandra was also super helpful and very responsive when we had any questions. Great house!
Unfortunately our vacation was not what we had originally booked. This was originally pet friendly until the owners decided to not allow dogs for 2022. We booked for 10 people and then per Naples town rule, only 6 adults were allowed per night. Lastly we booked for 8 nights but was reimbursed for 1 night since bookings should have been Sat to Sat. On the positive side, the location on the lake was breathtaking and very peaceful. Such clean water and easy to swim offshore and fish off dock. The house itself is very large for multiple couples to enjoy without bumping into each other. The negative is the house is tired, the "master bedroom" mattress needs to be replaced, the couch was broken down, one of the upstairs AC units broke down, hot water wasn't consistent, poison ivy in many locations etc.
Perfect place right on the water. My cousin has trouble with steps so the first floor bedroom and bathroom were perfect for her. Only 3 steps to get outside or she could walk around to get to the beach area. It was very comfortable!
Lovely area, quiet, beautiful view of lake, close to Naples. House had everything we needed for our adult group. Only problem was some animal that got into the wall and could be heard at night loudly scratching in one of the upstairs bedrooms. We did make the owner aware.
Perfect location and great neighborhood. We had a great family vacation. The lake was clean and not crowded. The house is a little dated, but everything was clean and we had everything we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer.
My husband and I rented this family home for our family, 5 adults and one infant. The location is just spectacular! The home is situated in a protected cove with easy, level access to swimming, boating etc. The home is quite large, provding privacy and space for all. There is a wonderful covered deck where we ate most of our meals. I would not hesitate to rent this property again. It is terrific!
This property is a classic lake home on the point. There is a feeling that many happy memories have been made at this house. The host is exceptionally welcoming, responsive, and helpful.
My family and I had a wonderful time at Cassandra's lake home. The house was very comfortable and easily accommodated our party of 6 and dog. The best feature about the home was the location. The cove offered privacy and the dock allowed us to rent a boat for a few days to better enjoy the lake. The hot tub and covered outdoor space was wonderful. We also loved how centrally located the home was to Naples, Canandaigua, and the local wineries . Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely consider renting this home again!
Cottage is very clean and well maintained. it's located away from a busy road which is nice if you have young kids. We've rented for four years in a row and always have a wonderful time! Absolutely lovely!!
