We have the total guests at 6 people. That number includes kids. If you have a unique situation please contact me before booking.
We are dog friendly. Let us know if you have a service animal, emotional support animal, or a pet so we can prepare accordingly.
UPDATE: WE HAVE HAD MULTIPLE TERRIBLE PET OWING GUESTS OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS!!! We have been sharing our cabin with guests for over a decade, and I've never seen the level of disrespect as I have in the last two years. We didn't even have a written pet policy for years, it was just understood that you clean up after your pets. Then we decided we needed to give some instructions and that evolved to what we have now which probably sounds harsh to some, but believe me it evolved after much disrespect and extra cleaning.
VRBO has the system structured where bad pet owners hold the host hostage with threats of negative reviews if the owner requests additional cleaning or damage fees. 14 days to ask for additional fees and 14 days to leave a review. Even after providing pictures of the damage, excess messes and droppings not picked up its still a fight with VRBO to get anything done.
I'm done with hosting disrepsectful pet owners and cleaning up after them for free.
But, being pet owners we don't want to punish the good pet owners who regard their pets as part of the family and do clean up after them so what I've decided to do is charge a $300 pet fee that I regard as more of a deposit. I will refund that amount in full if our pet policy is followed in full.
If you try to sneak your pet without checking the "I am traveling with pets" box you will be asked to leave the property because of a "conflict with house rules" and won't receive a refund. Harsh? Yes. But again I'm trying to deter the guest who wants to avoid the fee because they don't intend on following the pet policy so I'm putting here in writing so there is no misunderstanding later.
I can return that amount after the 14 day review period has passed so I'll no longer be held hostage by the theat of a one star review! My hope is that responsible pet owners will be able to enjoy our cabin were as the bad pet owners will book somewhere else. I don't want the $300, I want respectful guests. If after you leave the cabin is left no different than a non-pet guest we'll refund it right away.
If you are a responsible pet owner who will follow the pet policy you will have no issues and get a full refund of the pet fee.
Here is our pet policy:
It will be the renters responsibility to vacuum / clean up animal hair or we will charge for the exta cleaning.
PETS/SERVICE ANIMALS/ EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS. ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE FURNITURE OR BEDS. CLEANING HAIR OFF THEM WILL DEDUCT FROM THE DEPOSIT.
We don't have time to wash comforters multiple times between guests because the pet hair doesn't come off after one washing as a rule.
We also ask that all droppings are picked up from the front yard and all areas mowed on the sides and back.
We ask that when you leave the cabin is left no different than a guest who didn't have pet/service animal. If that sounds good to you, you can go ahead and send a booking request. If you have any other questions feel free to message us.
