Just a short walk from the beach, the holiday apartment Los Claveles is located in the year-round sunny seaside town resort Almuñecar. The 100 m² holiday apartment consists of a living room, a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and can therefore accommodate 6 people. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi (suitable for video calls), air conditioning (with heating function) in all bedrooms and the living room, a washing machine as well as a TV. A baby cot and a high chair are also available for free.
The apartment features 2 private and furnished terraces, one which goes out from the main bedroom and one that offers a nice view of the sea.

Having visited Almunecar many times, this apartment was the best location-wise of all the properties
Pros: Having visited Almunecar many times, this apartment was the best location-wise of all the properties we have rented in the past_- easy to walk into the old town along the promenade, which is very well kept. The owner was easily contactable via What's App & replaced a CD player as soon as we said there was a problem. Everything was included in the price ie electricity, so it was very good value for us.

Pros: We flew to Malaga and drove to Almuencar. As it was outside of the July/August holiday season parking was easily available. We collected the keys as agreed and were shown around the apartment. We had expected to be four so had rented a three bed-roomed apartment. I am glad we did, it was still affordable for two and it mean that we stayed in Los Claveles. I couldn't think of a nicer place to stay. The apartment was very nicely fitted out - think arty/stylish beach house not city luxury - and had everything and more that we wanted. it is rare that I can say that there is nothing else I would have needed. Every single thing was there and in good working order. Beautifully clean as well. Good showers and plenty of hot water. Perhaps slightly more sturdy beds are needed....but what is there was perfectly OK. The location is 10* - 20metres from a beautiful beach and within 100m there is an excellent supermarket and about 20-30 restaurants including some in the nearby hotels or chiringuitos on the beach.. We loved Bar Madrid for an early evening drink and tapas, and also Meson Petete near the supermarket. It is quiet, with a nicely appointed balcony (two in fact) and the views were lovely - sea and palm trees. From here it is a 20 minute walk into the old town and several other beaches. We loved the promenade - a great morning fitness walk - you can go a long way in either direction on the flat and you could cycle too. If you like hills you can be walking or cycling up one in no time at all. We found the apartment was quiet (partly due to it's excellent location) and also very safe and secure. David was very helpful whenever we had a question and replied promptly. Be warned that Almunecar caters to tourists but it is a Spanish town and a Spanish resort and for those who like to holiday in 'little Britain' then I suggest you go elsewhere. For me, the fact it has retained its identity is the attraction. Whilst many in restaurants didn't speak English they were so friendly and helpful and responsive to my basic Spanish. There is enough to see even if you came by bus and had to walk everywhere. The town offers all services. There is a good bus service to La Herradura and other nearby towns so you don't need a car. I'm so grateful to have had the chance to stay in the perfect apartment in a lovely beach town.
