Beaches are not overcrowded even in high season. There are stands for disabled people. For divers there are various possibilities in the area. Various water sports equipment can be rented during the season in the harbor or on the beaches. The nearby nature reserve is suitable for hiking. Cycling is a popular sport in the area. Bike rentals are available in Garrucha/Vera Playa/Mojacar Playa.
Garrucha is still quite mild even in winter and in summer it is a resort that is mainly visited by families.
