The neo-classical house recently restored and furnished with rustic furniture, has a suit, three spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room in the original painting by the early twentieth century, comfortable dining room and kitchen. It is available wireless broadband internet, TV and DVD. Outside, we have a courtyard, the facade is composed of terraces and garden, and the yard has a privileged view of the city.

Gorgeous home, Wonderful Cobblestone street,Mavelous Ouro Preto

The first thing that struck me when I first contacted Randolfo was how fast he returned my inquiries ,and the great care he took in making sure all was in order. This was our first trip to Brazil, Ouro Preto was our third city. We were meeting family in Sao Paulo,then traveling to Rio to meet more family,before traveling on to Randolfos home. Ouro Preto is a UNESCO world heretage site and from the minute you enter the city it becomes abundently clear. Out side of Europe I have never seen a more beatiful,quaint city that is more like a village. With its little shops,bakeries,restaurants and more all winding through cobblestone streets and alleys. There are 13 beautiful churchs covering the hills of this one time mining city. We were there the week before Easter, and every night a procession was held through the streets. Randolfos' home is away from the ''tourist section'' in the middle of the local peoples shoping,banking and markets. Many fine restaurants were an easy stroll from our front door.The home itself is 200 years old but amazing place. Modern convieniances with old charm,and antiques! A wonderful private courtyard, with steps up to a setting area with a wonderful view especially at night.Randolfo is a true gentlemen and a pleaure to meet. We will return To wondeful Ouro Preto and Randolfos home.

Land of Gold

If you are looking for the historic flavor of Ouro Preto in your accommodations, this is the place. The location is on the main tourist street of the city, just a block from Praça Tiradentes. Inside this 200-year-old house is the living past of a remarkable city, visible in the patina-sketched living room walls and antique furniture as old as the house itself. The pieces of furniture that aren't beautifully restored antiques are made of demolition wood, maintaining the quintessential feel of the interior. Walking along the wide-board floors and admiring the wooden ceiling panels at four meters high, you will sense the illustrious past of this golden city. While many rentals overstate their sleeping capacity, this expansive home can easily accommodate a large group. There are ten separate beds in four bedrooms on two floors, along with three full bathrooms. The dining area has a table set for eight with plenty of plates and glasses for everyone. There is also an outdoor patio area for parties with barbecuing. Above the patio are flights of stone steps leading up the side of a hill behind the house for private access to sweeping panoramic views of the city. The kitchen, particularly the stove, could use an upgrade, although the refrigerator is new and the free bottled water is a welcome addition not available in other rentals. Foreign travelers should be advised that while there is plenty of hot water for the three showers, like all old homes in Brazil none of the bathroom sinks or the kitchen have hot water taps. Also, Brazilian residences do not have central heating so the house can be cold during the winter. The central location along a cobblestone street provides walking access to restaurants for that famous Minas Gerais cuisine, along with shops, a market, taxi stand, and local buses at Praça Tiradentes. The owner, Rodolfo, is extremely easy to communicate with in English or Portuguese, and when my wife and I arrived hours later than we expected and Rodolfo wasn't available, he sent his wife and daughter to meet us. They picked us up at the bus station at 10 pm and drove us to the house, treating us like prospectors who had just struck it rich in this land of gold. This residence provides a unique opportunity to experience historic Ouro Preto.

Casa maravilhosa, espaçosa, bonita e super bem localizada. É como viver dentro da história e literalmente foi o que fizemos. Os donos são super simpáticos e atenciosos. Roupa de cama e banho cheirosa e novinha. Bastante cobertores. Casa limpa, bem decorada, equipada e confortável. A vista do mirante do terreno é belíssima. Já queremos voltar.

Maravilhoso!

Simplesmente maravilhoso e apaixonante. O casarão é super bem localizado, muito próximo à Praça Tiradentes. Seja das suas inúmeras janelas frontais ou do mirante da casa, tudo o que se vê é beleza. A rua iluminada, fica próxima de restaurantes, bancos, igrejas, lojinhas, museus, etc. Um patrimônio bem cuidado, roupas de cama confortáveis, utensílios de cozinha à mão, tv, wi-fi, etc... Foi uma experiência fantástica. Agradeço a atenção do Sr. Rodolfo, muito prestativo e simpático.

Um lar em Ouro Preto

A nossa estadia foi maravilhosa. A casa é exatamente como descrita no anúncio, podendo dizer que ainda nos surpreendeu quanto à extensão dos jardins. O imóvel é impecável quanto à limpeza, nada a reclamar. O proprietário prestou um ótimo serviço, desde a fase de reserva até o momento em que entramos na casa, se mantendo à disposição durante a estadia para solução de eventual problema. Como é dito no anúncio, a casa se encontra em uma das ruas que apresentam número considerável de opções de estabelecimentos comerciais em um geral, o que é uma facilidade a se observar. Em meu nome e certamente de todos que integravam meu grupo de viagem, recomendo não só a familiares e amigos mas a todos que procuram um lugar aconchegante e com cara de lar para passar um período inesquecível em uma das cidades mais encantadoras e acolhedoras do mundo.

Nossa estadia foi perfeita. A casa atendeu a todas as nossas expectativas em relação à localização, ao conforto e à limpeza. É PERFEITA!!!!!

A casa é marvilhosa, muito aconchegante. Tem tudo isso que está no anúncio. Ela hospeda muito bem 10 pessoas e ainda é possível colocar colchões extras para mais 05. Fui com um grupo de 14 pessoas e deu tudo certo. Um detalhe importantíssimo é a localização, no centro, perto de tudo. O proprietário, Sr. Rodolfo, é muito bacana e atencioso. Valeu, Sr. Rodolfo! Adoramos tudo e pretendemos voltar.

Possui uma localização privilegiada com tudo próximo, os melhores restaurantes, bancos e padarias para tomar café. Dá para se fazer tudo a pé, não sendo necessário ir de carro. Os proprietários foram prestativos e muito receptivos, um casal muito simpático. Achei muito interessante este tipo de hospedagem e recomendo a famílias ou grupos de amigos. Nota 10! Fantástico

A casa é linda...Um sobrado maravilhoso, muito limpo, organizado e super confortável....Super bem localizado !! Os donos são ótimos e a cidade é de uma riqueza história, arquitetônica e cultural indescritíveis. Dica : Não deixem de ler o poema “Hotel Toffolo” de Carlos Drumond de Andrade bebendo uma cerveja no bar do Sr Toffolo, que fica na mesma rua deste sobrado.
