Those who love sailing, diving and surfing will get their money's worth here. The surrounding mountain landscape also offers excellent hiking opportunities. In Alicante you can visit the wonderful medieval Castillo de Santa Bárbara, one of the largest castle complexes in Europe. From here you have a great view over the city.
