The tranquil village of Dolcedo is located only 6 km from the sea with its sandy beaches and is widely known for its completely preserved historic village. The Maltese Bridge from the 12th century stretches in a wide arc over the romantic scenery of the river with the old mills and colorful houses. It’s no wonder that this view has become a symbol of beauty of the Ligurian villages.
The excellent infrastructure of the village offers not only a bank, a pharmacy, bakery butcher store and a well-stocked village store with all the necessities for daily needs. Various restaurants and pizzerias have also settled in the picturesque alleys. The village also has a very good bus connection to Imperia.
Once a month an antique market enlivens the picturesque piazza and invites you to browse. During the summer months, classical concerts are performed at irregular intervals in the church square of San Tommaso, Dolcedo's main church. Perhaps you will be lucky enough to meet a well-known musician in the small coffee bar over a cappuccino.
The Casa del Notaio is the ancestral home of one of the most famous notary families in the area. For many generations, the members of the Famiglia Re have notarized the transactions entrusted to them. The stately palazzo dominates the tranquil piazza. You can almost see that history and stories have been written here. Today it houses the offices of Imperia's notaries and the prestigious rooms have been converted into 3 vacation apartments.
Casa del Notaio 2 is a large, homely maisonette apartment on two levels. The first living level consists of two bedrooms and a modern shower room. Both bedrooms have large, bright windows overlooking the leafy piazza and can be darkened with wooden shutters. The two (160 x 200) wide beds and the antique family furniture allow a family or 2 couples to have a cozy vacation.
Via a slate staircase they reach the homely upper floor of the apartment. Here under the roof is plenty of space for an integrated kitchen with oven and refrigerator, a dining area just outside the French doors and the comfortable couch. From here enter terrace above the rooftops of Dolcedo.
Behind the house is a large, well-kept garden for the guests of the three apartments. The garden is equipped with sun loungers and shady spots, with barbecue, a spacious covered seating area and a changing room with shower and toilet. Here you can spend whole vacation days wonderfully relaxed. There is also a new laundry room with washing machine and drying facilities, which is available to guests free of charge.
Your car is parked on a private parking space 50 meters from the house.
