Natural stone Villa Rustica

The holiday villa is situated on a large, unfenced plot on a slope surrounded by meadows, woods, the mountains and Lake Mezzola, just 15 minutes from Lake Como. The garden is terraced with surrounding stone walls around the house.

There is another house approx. 200 m above, otherwise you will enjoy peace and quiet and no direct neighbours. To the side of the house there is a covered terrace with a long wooden table. In the garden there is also a beautiful antique stone table with space for 8 people and a Weber charcoal grill for cosy BBQ evenings.

The property is located directly above the lake, a path leads you down to a small beach in about 5-10 minutes.

There is plenty of space in the garden to relax in a deckchair, play and let off steam. There is also a climbing frame with a swing and slide for children.

The house is in a modern Italian country house style with lots of stone and wooden elements and warm terracotta floors. The bathrooms are bright and friendly.

You enter the natural stone villa on the mountain side via the front door.

On the ground floor there is a living and dining room with a modern, fully equipped country-style kitchen and large dining table and access out to the covered terrace with a large, long wooden table with enough space for the whole family. At the other end of the room there is a cosy fireplace and sofa area as well as Smart TV with international channels and possible access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and music.

Upstairs, a small hallway connects the bedroom and bathroom. Bedroom 1 is furnished with a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers and has access to a small wooden balcony with stunning lake and mountain views. Bedroom 2 is a four-bed room with a double bed and bunk bed as well as a chest of drawers and also has lake and mountain views. The bathroom has a shower/bathtub, washbasin, WC and bidet.

On the top floor, bedroom 4 on the lake side is another double bedroom with a fantastic view of Lake Mezzola and the surrounding countryside. To the side is bedroom 3, a small twin bedroom with bunk beds and a spacious bathroom with brick-built open shower, washbasin, WC and bidet.

The original vaulted cellar is accessible via the staircase or the garden and is lit by an atmospheric mix of floor lighting and candles. Equipped with a large log fire and a rustic oak table for 10 people, this space is unique and particularly suitable for cosy evenings of celebration.

Below the property, a small beach can be reached via a path, about 5 minutes' walk. Here you can swim, have soup, go canoeing and more. Also ideal for excursions from Lake Mezzola via the Mera River to Lake Como in an idyllic natural setting. Gera Lario is about 20 minutes away by car and is also easy to reach by mountain bike. In Ger Lario on Lake Como you have beautiful flat pebble beaches and good surfing and kitesurfing opportunities, including a surf school with equipment hire.

From your holiday resort of Albonico, you can go on hikes, mountain bike tours and walks.

The villa is also ideal for winter holidays. The ski resorts of Val Malenco, Madesimo and St. Moritz are also within easy reach for day trips.

Sorico: Former fishing village with several restaurants. The village is situated on the Boschetto headland with Colico to the east and Gera Lario/Sorico to the west. Green, sun-drenched region away from the hustle and bustle and is part of the Pian di Spagna nature reserve.

There is space for vehicles approx. 100 metres above the house at the end of the road. The direct access road is a very steep gravel road for the last few metres to the house and is therefore only suitable for 4x4 vehicles. It is about a 3 minute walk to the house. There is parking space for approx. 3 vehicles.
