Graet accomodation but needs some TLC
Firstly this is great accommodation for up to 4 people. It is pretty spacious and well designed. The patio is nice but doesn't get a lot of sun. The accommodation is screened by some trees and hedging and backs out onto a golf course. Expect an odd golfer or two looking for balls in the garden!
The is a large communal swimming pool. Three tennis courts. Golf is around 56 Euros for residents, 44 after 4 PM. The are fantastic golf practice facilities with a sheltered driving range. The course is "American Style" with large fairways, big greens and bunkers. In pretty good condition.
Why did I say it needed some TLC:
1. The outside of the property is a bit shabby especially when compared with the neighbours.
2. The light fittings have never properly been fitted. The lights have paper lanterns attached to the cord. In the hall stairway the bare wires are left showing with bulbs stuck in fittings. I am sure this would be highly illegal in Britain.
3. The house was quite dusty when we arrived. Much better when we left.
4. The dishwasher, bathroom fan and towel rail did not work. After 3 visits to the site agents and 6 days into our holiday a man cam looked in the service cupboard and reset a fuse to correct the problem. The bathroom fan never worked so the bathroom always steamed up.
5. Lovely furniture with wooded tables. The tables were marked due to the lack of table mats. We bought some ourselves.
6. On leaving you are given a time for an inspection. After half an hour no one had come. We had to set off for the Channel Tunnel and just hand the key in. Rotten way to end your stay.
7. The balcony from the main bedroom was very dirty with algae on the handrail. The wooden decking was especially dirty and I suspect slippery when wet
These things apart, we did have a good time.
