Centrally located between Rostock and Stralsund, it is 25 minutes by car from Marlow to the beautiful Baltic Sea beach (Ostseebad Dierhagen). There are various leisure activities available regardless of the weather (Marlow water hiking area, Ribnitz-Damgarten Amber Museum, Karls Erdbeerhof Rövershagen, Stralsund Maritime Museum, Rostock Zoo, Bad Sülze Salt Museum). Marlow lies to the west of the Recknitz river at the transition from the lower Recknitz valley to the hills of a terminal moraine.
