SeaSong is in the charming seaside village of Crescent Beach. Enjoy our beautiful updated & spotless (intense attention is paid to cleaning!) first level 1 1/2 bedroom suite with ocean view ~ a 2 minute stroll takes you to the beach & toes in the sand. SeaSong's open concept design & beach house charm will surround you in comfort while the gas fireplace, 2 flatscreen TVs & DVD entertains.
Spacious, well laid out & equipped for serious foodies, the kitchen features a large island with seating for up to 4, stainless steel appliances including a new gas range & dishwasher, fridge & microwave. Coffee lovers can enjoy a French press, drip brew or Nespresso. A variety of teas & other beverages are also on hand, as well as an excellent selection of spices, herbs & staples.
SeaSong's bedroom boasts an ultra comfortable premium queen bed, 38" flatscreen TV, built-in electric fireplace & washer/dryer. The ocean themed bathroom includes heated tile floors & a deep soaker tub with fireplace view.
The additional lounge area includes a very comfortable (really!) Lazy Boy double air-topper sleeper sofa - a floor to ceiling curtain divides the sleeping space from the living area.
The entire suite has been extremely well sound-separated from the main floor to ensure privacy.
Enjoy coffee or Happy Hour on the ocean view deck from the comfort of your Adirondack chairs while the resident birds entertain. You'll find a table for 2 & gas grill for more outdoor living. In the fall & winter months, cozy up by the fire with a good book or movie. Pamper yourself with a professional in-suite massage by a registered therapist.
A deluxe SeaSong Welcome Basket greets guests with fresh organic coffee & the 'fixings', organic fruit (local when in season), wine, chocolate & more.
Bicycles, beach chairs & towels, croquet & bocci add to the summer fun. Stroll the beachwalk to cafes & bistros, explore Blackie Spit bird sanctuary or bike the myriad of beach paths. Winery touring, horseback riding, kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing, art galleries & more are all close at hand.
SeaSong is 10 minutes to the neighbouring oceanside town of White Rock with its famous wooden pier (the longest in Canada!) & a wonderful array of restaurants, bars & shops. A 45 minute drive brings you to downtown Vancouver & 10 minutes takes you to the US border with Seattle 1 1/2 hours beyond. Wonderful day trip options abound!
We love our weekly guests as well as those who come for extended periods! Our monthly rates are discounted by 30-35% off weekly rates. If you're interested in staying longer than a month please ask about our multi-month discount :-).
Please note, a railway line runs through the community of Crescent Beach and near the Property. As you'll see from our reviews, the majority of our guests do not find it to be a problem, and in fact many enjoy the historic charm it represents. Also to note, access to SeaSong is up 12 stairs from the street level parking.

I'm a passionate traveller blessed to have experienced many amazing parts of the world including Africa, the Seychelles, Europe (Italy is my favourite so far with 5 visits, including several places little travelled by Nth Americans), the Caribbean (the British Virgin Islands are my home-away-from-home), Mexico (I'm lucky to have been to many off-the-beaten-paths secrets), Central America, Great Britain & of course our nearest neighbours to the south, the US.
I'm also a passionate animal lover & very involved in animal welfare. If you would like to have your four-legged family member join you, we will do everything to make his/her stay as special as yours :-). Of course our two-legged guests receive the 'royal treatment' too! :-)

Why they chose this property
In years gone by (as far back as the twenties) Crescent Beach was a popular family summer destination & although we're only 45 minutes outside the city of Vancouver, many people still maintain summer homes here. This is a large part of why this area has retained the special seaside village charm of a bygone era. Life is still a little slower here & we love that!
SeaSong is part of a very special home affectionately known as 'Casita del Mar' (Little House by the Sea). Casita began as the Bell Family's summer cottage ~ since being built by the hands of family & friends in the sixties, many wonderful memories have been made here & today the house still retains those precious feelings. From the moment I stepped into the cottage in 1992 (the first time I tried to buy it!) & looked out to the bay I knew this was where I wanted to make my home.
The beautiful memories continue!

Casita began as the Bell Family's summer cottage ~ since being built by the hands of family & friends in the sixties, many wonderful memories have been made here & today the house still retains those precious feelings. SeaSong is a 2 year Labour of Love ... I designed & contracted it from start to finish, incorporating ideas from my travels around the globe. I took great care & attention to the small details that would make it special, the kind of place I'd be thrilled to discover & would want to return to over & over again. I hope you'll agree!
