Priest Lake - Beautiful Waterfront Without The Lakeview Expense

This rental property is a beautiful cabin on a private canal in the north Priest Lake area. You are close to the entrance to the "Thoroughfare" or the natural channel bridging picturesque Upper Priest Lake and Lower Priest. Bring your boat and keep it tied to the dock right in front of the cabin!

During the summer, spring and fall months the canal is a great location for the kids to enjoy paddling a canoe, catching frogs and exploring in safe environment. Adults will love paddle-boarding in the calm waters of the canal and the adjacent shallow "Sand Bar." Hop in your boat to enjoy the miles and miles of sandy beaches... or your kayak for a relaxing paddle up the Thoroughfare.

A great campfire ring is the perfect location to share s'mores and stories after a busy day of hiking, water sports, kayaking or canoeing.

The cabin was built in 2005 and is well appointed. Have all the amenities of home (except TV & stress) located in the beautiful Priest Lake area. The main floor is setup as a Great Room Layout so that you can enjoy spending time with friends and family while you prepare your meals in the modern kitchen. Dine either at the large family table, breakfast bar, or the teak table on the covered porch.

This property is also a nice location for your fall hunting trip or winter stay. Access to prime snowmobiling, snow shoeing and adventure is just around the corner. Crackling fire in the wood stove (also electric heaters) will take the chill out of the air during the fall and winter months.

The master bedroom is on the main floor. Enjoy the morning sun and view of the trees through the two bright windows

The second bedroom is upstairs. It is a kids dream complete with two twin beds, a futon and a sleeping loft with queen mattress accessed through a ladder.

The third bedroom fills the other half of the second level. It has a rustic wooden poster queen bed with a comfortable mattress and bunk beds. This is large room with extra space to relax. (Note, it is not as private because it doubles as the upstairs game room / common area).

There is a bathroom on each floor. The downstairs bathroom has a quaint feel, vintage looking tile floor and claw foot tub. The additional bathroom upstairs has another toilet and stand-up shower.

A washer and dryer is located on the main floor. The kitchen is fully furnished and a cooks delight.

Verizon cell phone coverage is available, but spotty. There is cell phone reception improved in the cabin by a booster for Verizon customers.

Recently added Wi-Fi internet from Starlink Satellite. Fast! 60-150 Mbps. But I recommend keeping the password secret from the family and pretending the outside digits world does not exist. Really, truly, it is the best place to unplug and unwind- during any season!

This is our personal get-a-way that we are pleased to share with others when we are not able to be there. You will see pride in our home and and how we host our guests.

Get away from it all

Had a great time hiking and kayaking into upper priest. Best location for any outdoor activity you want to do. The power was out for a day during our stay and Mickey made sure we had everything needed including sending instructions on using the generator.

Great location, great host

This cabin is right on a private canal with a dock that allows super easy access for you to boat the thoroughfare which takes you to Upper Priest Lake - an enchanting, mountain lake. Hiking trails are around as well. The cabin has lots of space for large families or two couples. Since it is pretty far from stores and restaurants, it worked best for us to bring all the food we wanted for the six days we were there. Everything we needed for cooking was present in the modern kitchen. Even though the original listing indicated that internet wasn't available, it was present and worked very well by the time we stayed. Host was great at communicating as well.

Beautiful, quiet neighborhood.

This is the third time we’ve stayed at this property and we absolutely love it. Great access to the lakes and the mountains. Great get away if you really enjoy being near the wild. Will definitely stay there again. Owners are great to work with and easy to communicate with.

Our family enjoyed a weeks get away at this cute cozy cabin!!

This is a cute cozy cabin that gives you all the feels of Priest Lake but with privacy. Love the sitting at the fireplace looking at the private outlet (that leads out to main lake area) We enjoyed being at the amazing Priest Lake with all of it's beauty and charm... And we also enjoyed going back to the cabin away from everyone!

Wonderful, quiet stay with easy access to Upper Priest Lake.

This is our second time staying at the cabin and we love it more each time. Great access to the water and to the centennial trail. Very quiet this time of year. The booking process was super easy and the property owners are great to work with. We’ll be staying there again for sure.

Great Getaway

Excellent place to getaway from it all and relax. Perfect place for kayaking, mountain biking, and hiking. Cabin has everything you need for your stay, I just wish I could have stayed longer

Wonderful Family Location

This place is just magical. Our family enjoyed our stay so much. The cabin is located at the end of the canal. It was so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee out by the water while the kids built sand castles. The location was ideal- only a short drive from hikes, close to the upper priest lake, in a private community. We hope to make this a yearly trip with our family!

Great cabin!

My large family had an amazing stay at this well equipped, comfortable cabin. We had everything we needed. We had privacy, we had access to a unique shallow swimming area at the end of the canal that seemed to go on for a mile! My family enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding all week long. With access to great hiking and a natural water slide a few miles away, our vacation was both relaxing and exciting! Fantastic “end of the summer“ adventure for us and we highly recommend this property.

We really enjoyed our stay!

The home is cozy and comfortable and it had plenty of room for our group 8. We enjoyed playing cards on the covered deck, volleyball on the sand court, boating on the lake, and sitting by the fire at night. We used the dock on the property canal, and it was super easy to access the lake. The owners were very welcoming and had great communication. We would stay again!.

Cabin in the Woods.

Great cabin near the famous Thorofare at Priest Lake, Idaho. The cabin is very well equipped and most comfortable. You can park your boat on the canal right in front of the Cabin. There's a beautiful meadow with lots of wildlife.

Amazing piece of property

This cabin is fantastic! My family loved the location. We were safe in the channel from the large waves on the lake, so the kids could play in the sand. But, close enough that in just a minute, we could run the boat out to the lake for fishing, tubing, and even a trip to Upper Priest. The cabin is well stocked and great! Area is very quiet. We will stay here again!

Peaceful Pleasure

A perfect family cabin

This cabin does not disappoint. The location is beautiful and the cabin is equipped with everything you could need. The property is very clean and well organized. We stayed for 5 days with our family of 7 and loved every minute. The owners were very friendly and quick to respond to any questions. We would absolutely recommend a visit if you have the opportunity.

Paradise in a Silent Winter Wonderland

A buddy and I stayed in this cabin amidst 2 or 3 feet of snow and snowshoed, fat biked, and philosophized on the porch. The silence of the woods in winter is magical. The cabin is very comfortable (it's cool too but I'm not referring to the temperature!), spacious, and convenient. The owner was generous with his time in showing us around for the things we were interested in doing. And many thanks to Ty for clearing the firepit (including a custom snow-bench!) and providing plenty of kindling. We enjoyed the woodstove, and I found the comforter and pillows downright luxurious. This cabin provides a unique winter experience for those independent souls who are into wintery woods, snowy exercise, and books by the fire.

Wonderful!

Very nice cabin and location. Better than expected! The only suggestion to make it better would be some kind of a grate or rug on the stairs or porch to get rid of some of the wet sand from your boots. Although, because of the flooring, it was pretty easy to clean up.

Amazing cabin in a beautiful location!!!

Our family greatly enjoyed our recent stay at this cabin! It far exceeded our expectations! The location is amazing! Lion head state park is so close and fun to explore. The kayaks and canoe provided at the cabin were awesome and we enjoyed paddling on the lake. The fire pit and supplied wood was wonderful! The cabin was abosolutly amazing!!!! It far exceeded our expectations! The Merritts are great hosts and easy to work with. This was our first time using VRBO and we were pleased! Would definitely go back! Thanks!

Cozy, comfortable & lots of fun things to do!

Our stay at the Merritt's place was just perfect. There was more than enough room for us (3 adults and 3 mostly grown children). We never ran out of things to do... volleyball on the sand court, foosball, card games, sitting by the fire (a propane fire pit was provided due to the burn ban- so nice!), paddle boarding and boating on the lake! We used the dock on the property canal for our small boat, and it was super easy access to the lake. Our favorite was to picnic at a nearby sandy beach for the day & also traveling up the thoroughfare to Upper Priest Lake, so beautiful! The cabin had everything we needed and was very clean. Thanks for the great vacation!
