Exceptional view of the lake and the mountains. Ideal in winter as in summer.

The chalet is designed for 6 people (children included maximum 2 young children).

The chalet with an area of 120 m² and on 2 levels.

The very bright living room opens onto a large balcony terrace with garden furniture where you can take your meals while enjoying the beautiful view.

In winter you will spend your evenings by the fireplace after a day of skiing or hiking.

The fully equipped kitchen is friendly and functional (at your disposal dishwasher tablets and cleaning products)

You have:
- 3 'cozy' bedrooms, spacious and very comfortable, (high-end bedding - sheets provided - beds made up for your arrival).
For your comfort, you do not have a sofa bed or bunk beds.

- 2 bathrooms (bath mat - hair dryer - scale - bathrobe - guest slippers)
- 2 WCs (WC product supplied)
- A linen room: washing machine - dryer - ironing board - iron and small laundry (detergent tablets provided).
- A free WIFI internet office space
- A relaxation lounge which opens directly onto a terrace overlooking the garden
(Satellite cable TV and DVD player).

You have 2 flat screen TV (cable / satellite) 2 DVD players (DVD adults and children at your disposal) - 2 HIFI channels

Our animal friends are welcome (1 small animal accepted). I ask 50 € (Donation fully transferred to the S. V.P. A). Payment to be handed over on arrival.

We come to the chalet "Sunny Hill" to rest and enjoy the time with family or friends.
The chalet is furnished and decorated as a family chalet in the mountains and not as a rental investment.

Large garden with 3 terraces which allow you to enjoy the sun all day long (garden tables and armchairs - deckchairs - barbecue - picnic table).

A deposit of 800 € will be requested on your arrival (to be delivered by hand to the owner) it will be returned to you on the day of your departure after an inventory.

Lovely holiday at "Sunny Hill" - July '23

We had a very nice stay at the chalet. The chalet is very clean, cosy and well equipped. And Catherine is a perfect host : providing useful info to prepare for the trip, and very helpful throughout your stay. The chalet is also very well located (walking distance from the lake, close to ski area in winter). Only the walk back from the lake is quite steap :) Lake area is very nice : easy to find restaurant or to go for a drink. There's also a market with artisanal products, 2x per week, also worth visiting. Weather was good 1st week, the 2nd week we had some rain but used the occasion to visit Colmar, Munster, col de la Schlucht,... Nice area if you like hiking. In brief, we really enjoyed our stay !

Stunning Tranquility

Having spent many years travelling throughout France and the rest of the world, "Sunny Chalet" ranks amongst the top for everything you need for a base to explore the local town and stunning local areas. The warm welcome we received and the immaculate codition of the chalet coupled with the great run down of local amenities and attractions was a very welcome start to our break. As others have mentioned you have everything you need within the chalet to make your stay a very enjoyable one,{just a note to remember that although it has satellite TV for those who are looking for English channels (we were not) they are limited to news channels}. We would not hestiate to recommend this chalet to friends or family and are certainly looking to return shortly

Gorgeous chalet with great views

The Vosges were a region of France we hadn't visited before, and we weren't disappointed. The chalet is in a great location about midway between the town and the ski station. Gerardmer is a lovely little town with plenty of shops and restaurants, although the walk back is quite steep. The views from the chalet over the lake are astounding and we had some unbelievable sunsets, the chalet itself is fully equipped and tastefully decorated & furnished. Catherine is a lovely and generous host with many suggestions of local things to do and see (we visited Colmar, Freiburg, Munster, La Bresse and more). The local area is great for walking & much more (trail running is challenging with the hills but rewarding). Have already recommended the chalet & the region to far too many friends!

A perfect autumn break.

A perfect property (for us), with a perfect view of the lake. On warm autumn days we could sit on the terrace to eat and relax, on cold or wet autumn days we were warm and comfortable inside. Everything in the chalet was clean and comfortable, there were many homely touches. Gerardmer is easy to get in to and has many fantastic shops, bars and restaurants (you need a good appetite!!!). The two large supermarkets and the twice weekly market make it easy to sample and cook delightful local produce. Walks around the lake (easy) or up in the hills (much more difficult) are all around the area, as well as spectacular drives to towns in the Vosges and Alsace (Munster is well worth a visit) . We had a fantastic time, and Catherine was the perfect host - welcoming, informative, friendly and generous (with her wine, jam, and cakes).

sehr schöner Urlaub

Wir haben unsere Urlaubswoche sehr genossen. Das Haus war wirklich schön, mit allem Notwendigen ausreichend bestückt. Die Lage mit Blick auf den See ist einfach traumhaft. Bereits vor der Anreise wurde man sehr gut informiert und betreut.

Mooi verblijf in de Vogezen

Huis piekfijn in orde. Alle comfort aanwezig. Zeer aangenaam en ruim terras met mooi uitzicht op het meer. Hou wel rekening met een flinke klim indien je te voet vanuit het centrum naar het vakantiehuis wandelt.

Le Vrai Charme de la Montagne...

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans un chalet parfait où rien ne manque, d'une propreté impeccable, avec la sensation d'être comme à la maison. Très bon accueil de la propriétaire qui a su nous transmettre la passion de sa région, que ce soit à travers les balades ou la découverte des bonnes tables. Notre petite chienne Capucine est ravie !

De la situation géographique sur les hauteurs de Gérardmer jusqu'aux moindres détails dans le chalet tout a été parfait... La location est en tout point conforme à la description, l'accueil et les conseils ont été très précieux, rien à redire juste à y retourner.

Très joli chalet

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Gerardmer malgré la pluie la première semaine. Le chalet est très agréable et accueillant, tout à fait conforme aux photos de l’annonce. SUPER VERBLIJF!!

Tijdens de kerstweek hebben wij volop kunnen genieten van deze zeer aangename vakantiewo ing. Bij aankomst kregen wij onmiddellijk een uitgebreide rondleiding(op de splinternieuwe pantoffels) door de zeer spontane en vriendelijke gastvrouw. Het viel meteen op dat de woning heel proper is en met heel veel smaak en kwaliteit werd ingericht. In totaal verbleven wij er met 2 volwassene en 3 jong volwassenen. Het huis is zodanig ingedeeld dat iedereen voldoende ruimte en privacy heeft. De slaapkamers en bedden waren zalig. Wij zijn rugpatiënten maar de bedden zijn van zeer goede kwaliteit, dus geen rugpijn!!! Ook de locatie is perfect. Dicht bij skistations en prachtige wandelwegen. Samenvattend: wij komen terug!

Fantastic chalet full of charm

This is really a 5 star chalet in terms of atmosphere and views. The chalet is full of charm very cozy and clean and fully equipped with all you could possibly think of. Dont bring anything; its there! The beds are - like in all French houses and resorts- small. Only the twin bedded room is OK for two tall/bigger persons. Matrasses comfortable. Chalet is close to town and Lake Nice villages in the neighbourhood like Colmar (must see) and Reriremomt. Walk around the lake and enjoy the views and hills around Gerardmer. Catherine (owner) is a great host and always available for any support. I really recommend!

Chalet mit fantastischen Blick auf den See von Gérardmer

Sehr schönes, liebevoll eingerichtetes Chalet. Die Gastgeberin hat uns herzlich empfangen inkl. kleiner Aufmerksamkeiten wie selbst gebackene Küchlein und Marmelade. Das sehr saubere Chalet mit seinen neuen Fenstern erstreckt sich auf zwei Etagen. Nach einem kurzen Rundgang durch das Haus war man sofort im Urlaub angekommen. Das Chalet hat alles, was man für einen Urlaub benötigt. Ruhe, Gemütlichkeit und einen wundervollen Blick auf Gérardmer mit seinem schönen See (sehr klares Wassser). Die Region um Gérardmer ist sehr schön und lädt zum Wandern ein. Die meisten Wanderrouten sind in weniger als 30 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar.

Quel bonheur !

Tous les ans, le chalet a droit à quelques améliorations et est toujours aussi agréable. On arrive, on pose les bagages et on profite déjà de la vue, du confort, de la propreté et de l'ambiance. C'est avec plaisir que nous y retournons pour le bonheur de toute la famille

Absolument magnifique

Séjour magnifique Nous avons passé une agréable séjour à Gérardmer rdmer, le chalet est absolument magnifique aménagé avec goût, équipement complet rien ne manquait et la vue sur le lac est un régal pour les yeux. Nous tenons à remercier Madame Imhoff pour son accueil et sa gentillesse et son attention. La location est absolument parfaite et d'une propreté irréprochable. OUTSTANDING CHALET IN A BEAUTIFUL AREA

The chalet on “Sunny Hill” is truly a gem that will meet, it not exceed, the expectations of the most demanding vacationers: The chalet is spacious and bright, very comfortable, decorated with great care and attention to details (charming “mountain theme” which perfectly fits the beautiful surroundings) as well as very functional. The chalet itself and everything else provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible (linens, beds and bedding, towels, cushions for patio furniture, etc) meet the highest standards of cleanliness and quality (everything is really spotless and in perfect condition). And with 2 floors of living space, you can easily find peace and privacy while having lots of options to hang out and enjoy time together in the spacious “common spaces”. All bedrooms are large, well furnished, tastefully decorated, and offer ample storage space. Bathrooms are new and in mint condition. The kitchen is cozy and well equipped (new appliances, lots of dishes, glasses, silverware, pots and pans, toaster and more!). Both living room (upstairs) and family room (downstairs) feature flat screen TVs with cable boxes and DVD players, several stereos can be found throughout the chalet, and the Wifi works great. The outdoor space consists of a well manicured backyard with trees, bushes and wonderful flower boxes. The upstairs balcony is spacious (equipped with large table + chairs as well as additional seating to relax while enjoying the view) and offers an incredible panoramic view of Gerardmer lake. The downstairs patio (table + chairs and comfortable lounge chairs) is a quiet heaven, perfect for relaxing while reading a book. Sunny Hill is quiet yet convenient to everything: just a few steps away Gerardmer center (which features a great variety of shops, restaurants, supermarkets etc), ideally located close to the ski slopes, with easy access to great hikes and many other outdoor activities (kayaking, sailing, swimming, fishing, paragliding) in a 5-10 km radius. This review would not be complete without mentioning the chalet’s owner, Madame Imhoff, whose kindness and commitment to making your stay on Sunny Hill absolutely perfect are exceptional and unparalleled. Madame Imhoff is the warmest yet most discreet hostess you could wish for, she puts a tremendous amount of thought and effort in anticipating and fulfilling her customers’ every need and the results/services provided are truly remarkable.

Très belle terrasse et équipement sans faute !

Il est bien agréable d'arriver dans un chalet que l'on ne connaît pas et de s'y sentir de suite comme chez soi... Il ne manque strictement rien en équipement dans ce chalet.. que vous ayez besoin d'un sèche cheveux, d'un fer à repasser, d'un sèche linge ou d'un coquetier... tout y est ! Autre point fort, la terrasse panoramique permet de faire de belles photos sur le coucher de soleil. Nous connaissions déjà Gérardmer, mais ce chalet fait partie des meilleures locations que nous ayons eu jusqu'ici. Bravo !

De vraies vacances reposantes !

Comme d'habitude (cela fait plusieurs années que nous louons ce chalet), tout est parfait. On est attendu avec un petit cadeau, la propreté est irréprochable et l'emplacement idéal. On arrive, on pose ses bagages et c'est déjà les vacances. Aucune mauvaise surprise, que du bonheur.

"Un havre de paix & de bien-être"

Chalet exceptionnel & confortable, propreté & équipements impeccables, avec une vue est magnifique et reposante. J'y séjourne très régulièrement. C'est le lieu idéal pour se ressourcer au sein de la nature. Un grand MERCI & tout mon RESPECT à Mme IMHOFF, la généreuse et extraordinaire propriétaire. Excellente prestation de qualité !

Accueil personnalisé exceptionnel et location d'une extrême propreté et d'une extrême qualité de services TOUT compris....C'est simple il y à TOUT a votre arrivée ! La qualité de l'accueil est parfaite et les conseils avisés sont absolument fantastiques... Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la déco. les attentions personnalisées et les marques de sympathie de la propriétaire...Tout est vrai dans les prestations et cela est primordial.... Il n'y a absolument rien à dire sur cette location qui est digne d'un hôtel 5 étoiles.... S'il fallait émettre 1 seule critique (qu'elle soit constructive bien entendu), nous énoncerons 2 détails minimes : - Un canapé confortable 2 pers. serait bienvenu au premier étage (salon) uniquement pour se prélasser le soir ! - L'entrée (et la sortie) du chalet (route) est assez dangereuse notamment avec la descente de la route d’accès aux pistes (à voir avec la mairie il nous semble) A part cela nous remercions la propriétaire pour la qualité de cette location exceptionnelle.......
