We pick full sized homes so that we can cook in and save money, one evening the power went out and we were unable to reach the owners, we had to eat out and would have liked to be offered a reimbursement. The power came back on later that evening, the owners replied the next day.
Our major issue with the home is the very loud noises that come from anyone being in the upstairs. Our first three days someone would be up and walking until 10pm and then up again around 4:30am. This noise would wake us up and we're pretty deep sleepers. A pipe that runs along the bedroom wall makes noise when water is being used in either unit. We had about four days of quiet and then a family with children were upstairs for two nights, they ran, jumped, knocked things over and were very loud until 10-11pm. We tried knocking on the upstairs front door, back door, rang the doorbell, they would not come to the door at all, even though they were in. So, we contacted the owners and were told they couldn't tell them "not to walk" which wasn't the complaint.
After the family left, we could hear mice (not sure if it was one or more) running in the space between our roof and the upstairs floor. But, it was quieter than walking or stomping from above, so, small favors.
WiFi would temporarily go out for between 30 seconds-2 minutes every hour or two. We did power cycle the router, but it didn't solve the issue. It would go out on all of our devices, so it wasn't our device causing it.
Without the noise issues, it would be a solid 4*-4.5* place. When you go for a two week relaxing vacation, you hope to leave behind the stress of loud noises and dealing with the neighbors.
