We had a great stay at this property. It was as described in the listing. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Excellent location for accessing Crystal Mountain. Would also be a great location for accessing Sleeping Bear, but we didn't make time to do that. Reading lights in all the spots you might want one. The kids loved the spacious loft area. We would definitely stay here again!
We loved the location - very peaceful and fun to watch salmon swimming upstream . We even lucked out w northern lights one night ! Can’t wait to return !

The cabin was a perfect place to stay for our race, it was close to the race site and everything we needed was a short drive. The cabin has all the essentials we needed, the beds and sofas were comfortable. We also enjoyed the deck and the river runningthrough the property.
We had a great stay on the Platte River. The cabin was very comfortable and the location was perfect. Loved being right on the river. There is lots to do close by - great restaurants, beaches and shopping. We can't wait to come back.
This is an amazing private oeaceful property with an awesome view! Truly enjoyed listening to the river and sitting by the fire in the evenings. My husband and I truly enjoyed our week at the property
Great place to stay for our Fall fishing trip. Although we didn’t fish the river behind the cabin, we could have because there were plenty swimming by on their way upstream. We fished several other rivers in the area and used the cabin as our home base. It was a wonderful trip and we’ll be booking again !
Holly and Bill were very pleasant and helpful hosts. The cabin was great. Well stocked. Campfires by the river under the stars was incredible.
Very comfortable matresses and pillows.
We had a group of guys staying for a fishing trip. We cooked at the cabin and eeverything was great.
Our return trip to your property this year was just as enjoyable as the prior years we've been there! Kayaking on the river, relaxing on the deck or sitting around the bonfire were all so perfect. The kitchen was once again well stocked making the entire stay great. You can bet we'll return again next summer!
Nice weekend getaway - enjoy the quiet serenity of the water flowing down the river. Saw quite a few fish, too smart for us to catch. Great stay and cabin as described
There for a short weekend. This was our second stay at Holly’s. We just love it there and will be back in the coming years as it is available. Nothing like relaxing on the deck with the crystal clear Platte basically at your feet.
We had a wonderful time at this cabin! The location is beautiful - the river is right off the deck and it's very private. We didn't see anyone except for the occasional kayaker paddling by. The cabin itself is lovely - very comfortable, clean, had everything we needed for our stay, and the hosts were very responsive when we had a small question about firewood. We would definitely consider returning the next time we are heading up to the Interlochen area!
This home is very clean and absolutely beautiful in the woods along the river! We stayed here and did some skiing at Crystal Mountain which is just 20 minutes away. Great host!
Loved this adorable log cabin next to the river. It felt private, we loved eating dinner at the table and watching the fish jump and play in the little sandbar by the cabin. It was clean and welcoming, would definitely stay again!!
This was our second year staying here and we plan on making it a yearly adventure. Secluded enough to get the wilderness feel but close to Traverse City to enjoy the tourist areas. Very clean, has everything you need, great hosts
I stayed at the property for a long weekend with friends. The place is an idyllic cabin in the woods with a modest drive to Traverse City and various breweries in the area. The property is well maintained and the hosts are incredibly responsive. I will definitely keep this place on my list of favorites for future getaways.
We have been back to this magical spot 3 times. Our family travels from NY and Ohio to spend a week together. We simply love the beauty of the spot and the clean and comfy cabin.

We live nearby in Elberta, MI. We have 4 children. I retired from The Federal Aviation Administration and my wife works at the local hospital in Frankfort.
Why they chose this property
This is an Up North Destination! We built this cabin in 1996. We chose this location for it's seclusion and proximity to the Platte River. Without any other homes in view, this truly feels private.
What makes this property unique
Relaxing on the deck, listening to the river and watching kayaks and canoes drift by. Not a care in the world. Put your chair in the river and soak your feet. The river is crystal clear with a gravel bottom. Occasionally you will see fish swim by.
