Perfection! Waterfront Home with Private Beach on Lake Montauk

This classic Montauk A-frame that sits just steps away from its own private beach on Lake Montauk will make a memorable family vacation. Build a huge fire in the outdoor wood-fired grill or on your beach and spend days lounging without crowds in lovely Lake Montauk. Or just watch the water from our 1,000 sq ft deck. Make fabulous feasts in the kitchen outfitted with a viking stove and Le Creuset cookware. Order oysters from our oyster farm partner (you can see the Montauk Pearl Oyster Farm in the water right out the window). It's classic Montauk living at it's best. We have a double lounger on the beach with chairs and umbrellas. Drink coffee in the morning in absolute privacy on your beach staring at the sun coming up, make bonfires at night watching the the quiet, huge lake at sunset. We have two SUP's, a floating dock in the water and 3 kayaks for afternoons spent exploring. Take the kayaks across the lake to Gosmans or one of the waterfront restaurants. Or take our beach bikes to the beautiful Gin Beach right down the road.

The house is Montauk simplicity at its best with four bedrooms, a bright open kitchen and living room all facing the water. We modernized the house with a new kitchen, bathrooms and a wraparound, large outdoor deck. Our hand-built outdoor firewood grill sits next to our outdoor dining table on the lawn (seats 12) and is perfect for huge lobster dinners ordered from our lobsterman friend, Andy, fresh off the boat.

At sunset, you'll feel like you are floating on the water that surrounds the bright, open living area. At night, sit by the large stone fireplace or out on the deck. Or have a bonfire on the beach fire pit!
The main bedroom has a queen bed, private bath and entrance from the deck with ample closet space. The two back bedrooms each with queen beds have beautiful light and a chic, simple decor. The children's bedroom has a bunkbed.

Spend days reading on the secluded beach or take a nap in one of our many hammocks. Or just enjoy the sounds of lapping waves from the chaises on the deck which always catches a westerly breeze coming off the lake--no bugs! Washer and dryer, outdoor shower and plenty of outdoor areas to play, eat or nap.

It's perfect for families--you'll have plenty to do with a large lawn for croquet or badminton. Take the paddle boards and kayaks across the lake for lunch at Gosman's or explore the sea life along the shore. The beach's shallow water is great for children. For dinner just walk down the beach at sunset to Rick's Crabby Cowboy or the Inlet. Charter a boat at the marina down the beach and catch Striped Bass which you can eat all week long. Gin Beach, Montauk's prettiest beach is just down the road and Ditch Plains, the best surfing beach is just 2.5 miles away. Build a fire in the beach fire pit and cook hotdogs and s'mores as the sun goes down. Go to sleep with the sound of the water lapping at the shore. It's really dream-like.
