Luxury and Secluded Waterfront Mountain Vacation Home nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, 12 miles south of Brevard. The 'cottage style' Home is located 1/2 mile off paved road on a private trout stream with soothing waterfalls and surrounded on two sides by a 8000-acre pristine forest preserve.

Our charming Home sits on a cresting hill and overlooks an open field with a rushing stream and cascading falls and waterfalls that can be seen and heard throughout the property and every room of the House. The emphasis of this location is definitely on outdoor living.

At the front of the house, a large sunny deck encompasses the front view of the property. Outback, there is a stone patio that offers a built-in gas grill plus a natural stone outdoor fireplace where you can stay warm under a beautiful starlit mountain sky.

Brevard is known as the 'Land of Waterfalls' with over 250 waterfalls. Nature and adventure are everywhere try hiking, tubing, rafting, rock climbing, or fly fishing for trout
just to name a few. Nearly 45% of Transylvania County is covered by National and State Forests. There are 6 state and national parks: Great Smoky National Forest, Pisgah National Forest, Dupont State Forest, Nantahala National Forest, Caesars Head State Park, and Gorges State Park, within a 27-mile radius of our Home at 'Trout House Falls.'

Perfection

Streamside along with its sister Waterfall Cabin are a rare combination of luxury, beauty, comfort, inspiration, whimsy, peace, and proximity, surrounded by towering rhododendrons and a soothing tumbling mountain stream. Indoors or out, this place offers something for every mood, occasion, or interest. Communication is easy and timely, and support, should it ever be needed, is nearby and responsive. I have stayed in VRBOs for many years and across several continents and this is my very favorite. I can hardly wait to return.

2023 Mother’s Day weekend

This was our second time staying here and it was such a wonderful weekend for all five of us ( two in our cabin and three in the falls cabin a minuteand a half walk away). The cabin is secluded and it was so quiet and peaceful. We hated leaving. Already planning next year.

June 17-24 visit

We had a wonderful time. Owner, Jim, was so accommodating and helpful prior to and at time of our stay. Landscaping, house and location pretty. Not far from Brevard and Hendersonville, both interesting and unique towns. Hiking, fishing, mountain biking and waterfalls all not far away as are many other interesting things to do. Even so, we felt away from the rest of the world when we went up the road to our mountain house.

Walked in and cabin smelled horrible. Toilet upstairs full of poop. Took pics. GPS doesn't go to cabin. No internet or phone service near cabin until you are inside. Would not recommend

Magical

This is our 5th time to stay at one of the Trout House Falls houses. It was our first to rent out both cabins and bring all our family (grandparents, 4 adults, and 5 grandchildren). Between the two cabins (the Waterfall Cabin and Streamside) we were so comfortable and had the best time going back and forth and playing in the waterfalls. You are close enough to town (Brevard) and the parks to enjoy a hike or O.P. Taylor’s. The house is clean and beautifully decorated, it is just pure magic. Thank you!

We will be back!!!

We recently stayed in this Streamside Home and thouroghly enjoyed our time there! This is a repeat trip here for us and our family and we will definitely be returning in the future. The attention to detail is eveident in every room of the house. The heated bathroom floors are a delight on a cold morning and the outdoor grill is always in great working condition and very clean. We have stayed at several of Jim's other propeties and thaey are very comfrtable as well. Jim is always available via cell or e-mail to answer any questions or reccomend local hikes and or sites to visit.

Relaxing

We had an absolutely great time. The home reflects the vision and execution of the owners vision in this secluded property. One could spend their entire time at the rental property, to relax, unwind, and renew. The property offers beautiful Streamside locations for reading or just listening to the calm sound of the stream. You can hear the running of the stream waters upon awakening through bedtime at the rental. Lots of places to hangout; beautiful front porch with a great view, an amazing outdoor grill/patio area for gathering or sitting alone. We saw wild turkey’s early morning in the front green space. Although it is a small drive to the secluded rental-it gives opportunity to see wildlife (like the black bear we met around one of the sharp mountain turns & the infamous Brevard white squirrel) and beautiful views .

Trout House Falls was an ...

Trout House Falls was an absolute pleasure. Unlike a lot of rentals, this home felt like our home for a long weekend with freinds. We came for a Wildlife Dedication and found a special hideaway. The homes are exactly what you look at in the pictures and more! We taught one gal to flyfish right in the front yard and Steve caught a few fish right in the front stream. Wish for nothing when you go to cook and dine with your family or friends in their complete kitchen and deck. One definate thing came of this weekend, the guys were good friends before, and us gals hardly knew each other. But Jim and Kathys' vacation home made our stay a lifetime memory and lifetime friends of all of us together. We can't wait to do it again. Remember one thing in life ~ "You may never pass this way again, take time to enjoy" and Trout House Falls is the perfect place to do that! Thank you again for sharing your home with us. PERFECT streamside get-away

This just might be THE PERFECT streamside cabin. At the end of the little gravel road you will discover the most wonderful Brevard get-away. Pass by a small farm....keep going....you'll be rewarded as you drive by your own little waterfalls! The cabin will peek around the corner, behind the trees and it is amazing. This is a lovely 3 BR (one king, one queen, 2 twins) 2 full bath home with a nice sized LR, DR, and kitchen (everything you need, new-ish appliances). Washer/Dryer. Every room is beautifully decorated and has a view. It has a big front deck with rockers that overlook the stream and a back deck with a fieldstone fireplace (a work of art!). Outside: you are surrounded by woods and a creek that has several waterfalls. We had excellent communication with the host. BTW There is another available 2BR cabin on this property....I have not been inside but it looks every bit as nice from the outside and is also stream-front. This was our second stay in this VBRO and I can highly recommend this property.

A slice of heaven

We have loved staying at the Waterfall Cabin many times, this was our first stay at the Streamside Cottage. It was wonderful. My husband enjoyed fly fishing and our children loved playing in the stream. We had a lovely, relaxing time. The host as always was welcoming and helpful. We will be back!

Family Getaway
