About this property

BEACHFRONT! Casa Bonita

THIS IS THE SPOT! We have a WELL stocked condo right on Isla Verde Beach to share with you. The master bedroom (1 queen,) 2nd bedroom (2 fulls,) and living area (futon) are all air conditioned, but let the sea breeze through the louvred windows that face 270 degrees in our 12th floor retreat.

Take the elevator down to the pool deck and from there the beach is 12 paces away. Bring our beach gear down with you and let the waves roll in. Stroll down the beach 2 buildings and find the Intercontinental Five-Star Resort . Next door to it is the famous El San Juan Hotel and Casino.

Restaurants, shops, fast food, ATMs, and 24-hour convenience, pharmacy, and liquor stores are all within a couple of blocks of your door.

3 Restaurant/Bars occupy the 1st floor of the our building, so a spicy tuna wrap, breakfast burrito, or cold beer are always ready for you. Have a cold Medalla at El Alambique while the sun sets on the sand and surf and head right upstairs back to Casa Bonita.

Casa Bonita was updated in 2014 and comes complete with free cable, high-speed internet, DVD, Blu-ray (wifi-enabled,) and phone (unlimited US and Puerto Rico,) not that you'll want to spend any time with these familiar friends.

The building itself has a security desk and swimming pool, and the unit has same-floor laundry machines and it comes with 1 covered parking space.

We pride ourselves on stocking anything you might need, so expect new dishes (indoor and outdoor,) new cookware, coffee, spices, and all the appliances and amenities you would expect in your own home.

We look forward to you vacationing at our place, and we (the owners,) and our on-site property manager are always available to answer any of your questions or give you great recommendations for fun things to do!

Amazing Location

Things we loved: There is a private door that goes right from the pool to beach. The fish tacos at the beach restaurant are delicious. Other reviewers mentioned the neighborhood was noisy so we brought earplugs and that was helpful.The layout of the apartment is great. Even though just one bathroom it was very easy to share. We really enjoyed meeting Maribel, the driver that Jay recommended.

Perfect place to stay on the beach!

The property is perfect for a getaway! It was clean and located right on the beach. The hosts were extremely flexible and nice. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and plan to come back for myself in the future.

Perfect condo for a family beach stay

Very convenient to everything--especially the beach! We had a wonderful time and loved staying here. Definitely want to return and stay for even longer next time. We found it very hard to leave.

Great Beach Location

This property was ideal for our family of 2 parents and 2 adult children as the second bedroom has 2 separate full sized beds which was ideal for us. The condo is very much as pictured, nothing particularly fancy but comfortable and with everything you’d need. The location cannot be beat for the caliber of the beach immediately outside, the walkability, proximity of the airport and the dedicated parking space if you’d like to rent a car for any excursions. We also received great Uber service as needed throughout our stay.

great beach front location but noisy neighborhood

The property is clean albeit a bit dated. Communication with the host and property management was good. No in-unit laundry is inconvenient. Great beach front location but gets very noisy especially at night due to motorcycle gangs on the street, air planes, and noisy window ACs.

They Say Location Is Everything

This spacious condo is across a side street from a lovely beach, and access out of and into the complex is very secure and safe. In just about 2 minutes you can take the elevator from the 12th floor to the pool, walk around the pool, slip out the secure property gate, and you are on the beach! We loved the location! While the kitchen is small, it is well equipped, but we ate many of our meals out. A variety of restaurants are a short walk away, either down the street or down the beach. We enjoyed sunset from a beachside restaurant one night and took a drive out to Old San Juan another night for an unobstructed sunset view. We did have a rental car because we like to explore but it wouldn't have been needed to enjoy the nearby area. The beds are soft which was comfortable for me. The shower is excellent. The overall appearance of the condo is dated, but the views from the bedroom and living room windows make up for that. The pool is much better than it looks from the photo on the site.

Perfect Condo!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Bonita and I would highly recommend it to everyone! Friends of ours were staying in other units in the same building, as well as next door, and they could not believe the accommodations that Jay and Ami provided for us. We had access to beach towels, chairs, a cooler, and a fully stocked kitchen that enabled us to cook a few meals in the condo. We arrived late at night and the property manager was there to meet us, show us everything in the unit, and answer any questions we had. I was very impressed with how clean the unit was and how spacious. The location is perfect and allowed us to walk to various shops, restaurants, and casinos without renting a car. If we ever go back to San Juan I will definitely stay here, Jay was wonderful to work with and the unit offers everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. The fact that you walk right out onto the beach was perfect!

Ok property but needs some tlc

Positives...right on the beach, good beach view, well stocked kitchen though some of the things like the toaster and pans in poor condition, quick response from manager and owner, close to everything. Negatives....unit and building are outdated, not the cleanest like the windows, no balcony though large windows that open to beach view, some things need fixed like window cranks that dont work, some of the ceiling tiles in bathroom broken or stained, could have had a better orientation like how to buy credits to use building washer and dryer and where the pool elevator was, etc. Just needs some tlc and it could be a pretty nice place.

Very Close to beach

The room was ok needs some updating when we arrived and checked in we went to a local supermarket and spent $258 of that amount $158 was food that went into the fridge the next day all food was spoiled and rotten we noticed the fridge very old by the way didn’t close correctly the gasket is shot on door after that we had to get more food and put in fridge every time we opened fridge we had to make sure you push the door real hard to get the door to stay closed. The A/C in the living room didn’t do much needs to be replaced those who chose to stay in casa Bonita if you get room 1208 remember to push fridge door real hard so your food doesn’t spoil I would check fridge in any room just in case this building is ok needs work I wouldn’t stay there again it was last minute booking I always stay in more updated buildings I been going to P R for over 30 years it was just a short holiday. Normally I stay in Rinco by the beach by the way if I owned that condo I would replace fridge and A/C immediately among a lot of other things that need attention

Casa Bonita

Great apartment! It is an older building compared to some around it, but the owners provide so many things to make up for this. If you have children, there are beach toys to use, a cooler with wheels to bring to the beach, beach chairs and beach towels. The kitchen is well stocked with just about anything you would need--right down to the spices in the cabinet. There is even water and beer in the refrigerator upon arrival! Prefect location! It is in an ocean front property. The views and the breezes coming off the ocean through the apartment are amazing! Isla Verde has something to eat, within walking distance, for everyone. Local food to New York style pizza and everything in between. Plus, Old San Juan is a ten minute drive to the west and the rain forest is a 25 mile drive to the east. We rented a car which made going to the supermarket super easy. Otherwise it would be a slightly difficult walk. There is a covered parking spot that comes with the unit. I will be renting this apartment again. Thanks so much for making our stay so easy and relaxing!!

Excellent location

This condo was in a great location. Beach in front, airport right behind us. Convenient for flying. Big food store one street over. We are a family of 5 and found it very comfortable for all of us. Safe too. Never felt unsafe at all. Other reviewers complained of airport noise and uncomfortable beds. We found no issues with either. Actually, the main bed was quite comfortable. The pool was wonderful - clean and almost always empty. Nice to have as an option for some down time. All in all, excellent stay. Great condo. I would recommend staying there. We hope to return.

My wife and I bought this wonderful beach condo in March of 2014 so that we could have a place to take our 2 children to escape the Colorado snow. We come here frequently and keep the place equipped with anything we like to have while on vacation.

Why they chose this property

We love the mix of foreign and familiar that Puerto Rico has to offer. Also, there is so much culture, history, and nature to appreciate on the island as opposed to resorts whose only feature is the beach.

What makes this property unique

Before buying this condo, we stayed at several of the other larger condo developments in Isla Verde. The building we chose is not as expansive as the others, but it has quicker beach access and is really in the best central location on the strip for access to restaurants, casinos, etc.
