Kiawah Island is a gated community where only owners of properties on the island and their guests are permitted to enter via secure gates. This provides a tremendous sense of security on the island which is important for families with children. Kiawah Island is also known for it's hundreds of miles of bike and walking paths that offer beautiful views of this spectacular island.

This vacation home is in a perfect location! It is a short walk to the beach, private pool, golf course, and the spectacular Sanctuary resort at Kiawah Island. For golfers, you have access to some of the best golf in the United States, notably The Osprey, Turtle Point, snd Cougar Point golf courses. Kiawah is also home of the world famous Ocean Course, home of the 1998 "War by the Shore" (Ryder Cup) and the 2012 and 2020 and up coming 2031 PGA Championship. If you play Tennis, The Island is home of the Roy Barth Tennis Center.

The home allows renters to walk or ride to waterparks, and access all of the shopping, spas, grocery, and many other benefits of Freshfields Market. Enjoy a weekly farm market at Freshfields that provides access to some of the best local fare, including fresh baked breads, home made lemonade and southern barbecue.

South Carolina is also home to Charleston which is a short 40 minute car ride away. Charleston is home to some of the best restaurants and shopping in the United States. The people of SC are some of the most friendly and kindest people in the world. Their southern hospitality is what makes you feel at home...the entire time you are here.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely and comfortable home! Close proximity to the beach (very short walk), Sanctuary Hotel, & East Beach Town Center Market. The beds are very comfortable, the a/c works great, & we enjoyed breakfast, dinner, and card games on the large front porch overlooking the lagoon. Hope to stay again soon!

This property checks all the boxes!! The property is amazing. The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay. As we have small children we bounced between the beach and pool all day which both are very close to the home. The owner was very responsive to any questions and even checked in on us after the tropical storm passed by. I wouldn’t hesitate the stay here again. Thanks you for sharing your home.

Wonderful house, location, set-up!
Our family of 7 had a wonderful week at Ken's property. He was great to work with and prompt with communication. The house was very nice and comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked. We loved the big front porch with lots of seating to enjoy hanging out, and on the one rainy day, I loved sitting on the back screened in porch with my coffee and book! The location on the island is great, and the proximity to the beach was perfect. The Turtle Point Golf Club is right around the corner, and my husband and boys played two rounds during our stay, while the rest of us kayaked. We enjoyed dinner on the veranda overlooking the golf course at Tomasso, the Italian restaurant at Turtle Point. We biked all over the island daily-the last night biking 4.5 miles each way to Freshfields to eat dinner at Cantina 76. It was a great week and we wish we could stay a month!

Beautiful home with just a short walk to the beach
Our stay at this property was absolutely PERFECT! The home boasts a perfect location if you have children. The small commute to the beach is wonderful for kids, and hauling your beach equipment. We stayed for a week and the property was clean, welcoming, and had everything you would need to enjoy your stay. It is also just across the street from the pool so no long walk or bike ride to get there. We had an absolutely wonderful stay! I would highly recommend this property!

This is the perfect house for young children. It is close to the beach, and the circular neighborhood is great for two, 4 year olds learning to ride bikes. The bed swing on the front porch is heavenly!!

Fabulous home and host
The property is beautiful and well stocked with all of the amenities of home. We came for a family reunion, and of the six houses rented by relatives, this was, by far, the prettiest. We enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace and did a lot of cooking in the easy-to-navigate and well-equipped kitchen. You can even see the ocean from the kitchen. The owner could not be kinder or more accommodating. HIs correspondence, flexibility and kindness really distinguished the experience. We have stayed here twice and plan to come back in the future.

The location is ideal for anyone who wants the beach, tennis, golf or enjoy the ice cream shop at the Sanctuary. All are any easy walk or bike ride. My family of 6 stayed here the last week of July 2019 and we had a great time. It was our 5th or 6th time on the Island and our first in this house or neighborhood. The house is great for a family and has an amazing location. The huge front porch is fantastic for dinner or just hanging around on the rocking chair and swing. Excellent neighborhood for biking with lots of trails and wildlife to see. We liked East Beach Village a lot more than some of the other area's on the Island (more sunlight and very easy access to beach and pool)

This was a perfect house for our family of 5. We had more than enough room to spread out. We really enjoyed spending time on the porches and using the well-stocked kitchen. This was our third stay at this property. It is a perfect location. Close walk to the beach or pool, you can practice chipping or putting on the 16th hole late in the evening. Nice big front porch for relaxing.

A very relaxing vacation
We have been traveling to Kiawah for 10 years and our family would definitely stay at the house again. It was very close to the beach, tennis, golf and the pool across the street. The owner was very responsive with any of our questions. We used the screened in porch at the back every morning and loved having the fans to cool the humid summer air. We rode all over the island as the house was half way between Freshfields and the Ocean Courae. We used the well stock kitchen and the grill several times. Our teenagers appreciated the fast WIFI. Thanks Ken.
