Great stay, worth getting the gold bands
Cofresi is part of a consortium of resorts in the same area (Tropical, Presidential Suites, Villas, etc) that all share amenities, beaches and bars. Depending on the membership level you purchase, you have access to increasingly more options that the previous level. The owners fulfilled their end of the bargain and we were very happy to have the gold bands for the duration of our stay. The resort however needs some work. They didn't seem to know which office could help which type of guests. We were guests of owners but they had no idea where to direct us when issues arose. We wasted a day just in getting bounced around to different offices to get issues resolved. The first room they put us in was a ground level unit that had issues with water coming in. The room had a musty smell. They moved us to a 2nd floor unit, but the view was not as nice. It took us a while to figure out that we needed to go to the Real Estate office for help. The resort will happily direct you to the sales office and once there you are stuck in the sales seminar (their version of the timeshare tour). We enjoyed the NV 'Envy' Beach which was included with the gold bands. I honestly felt like it was better than the higher level beach next door because all the people from that beach had to come to ours to use the restroom. I was not impressed with any of the food at the restaurants. It was not bad, but just wasn't great. I was hoping for more seafood options. We would book again if possible though.
