Marble Cabin
The cabin was very old, dirty, and in need of major maintenance. The appliances were filthy, particularly the stove, and the property instructed us to empty a water pan in the refrigerator every day. The cabin was infested with Lady Bugs that persisted every day of our stay. When we contacted the host, they said that happens twice a year and nothing they can do about it. They also told us not to contact them again, but to contact the property contact. There was a hole in the floor, at the door, where you could see the ground under the cabin. The bed was so unstable that when my wife or I moved, it felt like an earthquake. I’ve stayed in some of the worst places in the world when I was with the Army, but I never had to pay to be miserable. I recommend people stay as far from this property as possible. I recommend staying away from VRBO. I rented a beautiful cabin, 3 times larger and cheaper than this cabin, but from another management company. I will never use VRBO again. As far as I’m concerned, I was cheated out of thousands of dollars.
Quiet small cabin in the woods. View of a waterfall. Close to town comforts. Drive in and out not to steep. Jewel is a good girl and fantastic porch friend. She definitely owns the place! Ha!
The cabin was very nice with a great deck over looking a water fall. The cabin was small but had everything we needed. Jewel the local puppy dog visited us everyday and she was a sweetheart. Overall, we enjoyed our stay as we were able to relax and enjoy what the Mountains had to offer.

We enjoyed our stay at the nice little mountain cabin. It was very peaceful watching the waterfall and enjoying nature. There are plenty of day trip opportunities that we enjoyed with a wide variety, depending on what you like to do. We were very happy with our stay. We also liked our visits from the property manager Jewel the hound dog. She was quiet, took us for a couple of walks and just hung out once in a while.
Loved the cabin was great great time no one on top of you
We had a wonderful day just what we were looking for no one on top of you loved the spot very quiet and the water fall in the background was amazing plus you jewel the property hound dog that's very cool....thanks..will return

Not happy
The property could use some tender loving care. Wasn’t impressed with the location. The set up wasn’t great.
I really enjoyed my stay at this cozy mountain cabin and the mountain view directly across from a beautiful waterfall. I highly recommend staying here. It’s peaceful, with wifi and here at Christmastime, I got my fill of Hallmark Christmas tales. If I chose, I could have watched football games too. Everything was just right!
This was just what the DR ordered for us. Lovely location and view (waterfall) and Jewel the hound dog property manager was adorable. She will go on walks with you and just loves attention which my husband and I were more than happy to give. Not many properties make me want to come back but I am looking forward to my next trip. Just so you know there is no WI-FI and that was fine with us. There is dish TV with a gazillion channels so that was all we needed.
It was the perfect place for us, the waterfall was beautiful, the cabin was just what we were looking for cozy but we could have bought family, it still would have been comfortable. We cooked out on grill, sat out at night. The town of Murphy was great too, lots to see and enjoyed it too. We love just coming back to cabin and enjoying the quiet. The host Jeff checked on us to make sure the directions where understood and check in was good. We will be back to visit and maybe around Thanksgiving.
If you're looking for a place to get away from others, this is it! Large deck with a firepit overlooking a beautiful waterfall. House hound, Jewel, will keep you company and safe! Older place, but has everything you need. Expect about a 1.5 mile final drive on narrow, private gravel road, but average car can safely manage.
Our stay was absolutely perfect! My partner and I have everything we needed right fhere at the cabin. Juat aitting inside or out wZ wonderful. Walked around and just enjoyed the natural beauty. Ready to come back!
This cabin was perfect for our small family of 3’s long weekend! It is a bare minimum place but had everything we needed. We ate and hung out outside on the huge deck with the beautiful view, and there is so much great hiking in the area that we were barely inside at all. Plus, one of our favorite things about this place was being outside with the “property manager”, a hound dog named Jewel, that was so sweet. She got along great with our own dogs, and immediately felt like part of our family. We will definitely be returning!
