We have stayed at BBAR Ranch twice and loved each beautiful and relaxing stay. This is one of our favorite areas of Montana and we look forward to returning next winter. With less than ideal snow for skiing we took a drive into Yellowstone and had a fabulous day!

Well worth the visit
Our family stayed 2 nights in West Bunkhouse and it was the highlight of our trip. We saw deer, moose and bear. The inside of the cabin was very clean and had updated appliances. The staff was very hospitable!

The property was beautiful! We loved the location. It would helpful to know about the drive on the gravel road to get to Hwy 89 as it was listed as a 40 minute drive to Yellowstone and it took us a little over an hour (due to the Tom Minor Bridge being out). It was a pretty rough road! We were able to see some Grizzly bears and enjoyed time with our family and friends!
The cabin was clean and quaint. The view where spectacular. Trina was nice and supper helpful. When we can finally get into Yellowstone we will be planning on staying at the B Bar ranch again. Thank you for the use of your cabin.
Beautiful, peaceful, and friendly staffs; minor complaint is about one of their beds, tend to make noice when you tossed around but overall we had a great time at this ranch.
Very nice stay. The cabin was well appointed, clean, and had plenty of space and beds. It is quite a bit of the beaten path (which we expected, but it's worth pointing out for those considering staying). Our one complaint is that the wifi never worked and the guest instructions said to contact staff about this. Unfortunately, no one in our group had cell phone service, and without working wifi, we had no means to contact staff. Given the remoteness of the location, I hope staff will prioritize making sure the wifi is functioning when guests are expected. I understand the difficulty this probably poses given the location, though, but even for guest safety it's probably worth making sure there is some means of communication. I wouldn't dock a star for this but it is something to consider!
The West Bunkhouse was just what my kids and I needed. The property was clean and well maintained, and exactly as described.
The location was a perfect getaway from city life - enjoyed our mornings on the front porch in the pristine mountain air.
Daily we commented how great of a place the West Bunkhouse was. It was far enough from others yet not too far of a drive to Yellowstone and Chicos Hot Spring.
The lay out of the house is perfect for a big group. The separate shower, toilet and sinks made getting ready no problem.
We brought our own tv and dvd player to watch movies at night upstairs.
Amy was great to communicate with as we got delayed on the 26th and did not arrive until 10 pm at night UGHH! The maintenance guy kept the road clear for us. We saw some amazing dear and big horn sheep driving in and out of the property. Google maps got us to the West Bunkhouse no issue but the notes attached to the email helped as well since it was dark.
We can't wait to check out BBar Ranch in the summer...hopefully we can reserve some time in 2024 haha.
This is our second time staying at the West bunkhouse and we are already planning the next trip. Words can’t describe the peace and serenity that can be found there. The house is well appointed and so cozy, yet large enough for everyone to stretch out. Tom, one of the staff, and his dog, Lucy are a joy as well. We can’t wait for next time!
Me and my family had an amazing time at this property! Beautiful scenery and location. Staff was wonderful and helpful throughout the entire stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a location near Yellowstone.
Fantastic remote area in pristine Paradise. Valley. Ranch campus was clean and beautifully natural. Property is accessed on gravel road approx. 8.5 miles off the highway that leads to Gardner and the North entrance to Yellowstone National Park..
Great accommodations for family’s no friends visit to Yellowstone. The more remote location ads a bit to the travel, but so worth it for the sights and authentic ranch experience. Amazing steaks and lasagna!
Arranging our lodging accommodations at the B Bar Ranch via vrbo was effortless. The owner offered clear expectations, precise directions to the property and was readily available with any inquiries. The remote location provided desired privacy for our party of 8 who enjoyed the spacious cabin, majestic mountain views, wildlife sightings and a short drive to several area attractions. Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer!
This was a very nice cabin for a large family to stay in. However, it is very far off the beaten path. A beautiful 20+ minute drive around the 7 mile gravel roadway to get there. If your goal is to come and go, not the best location. If you plan is to isolate in a beautiful mountain/country cabin then it is perfect! Absolutely no cell phone signal at all, yet they tell you to call them for issues or to have trash picked up, or if you want to go to the gift shop..etc. but that’s impossible to do. We tried. I even walked over to the office and knocked on the screen door a couple times, and was never able to speak to any employee or manager.
The Cabin the views and the ranch was incredible. Breathtaking views wherever you look . Abundant amount of wildlife including Grizzlies. Honestly there’s nothing bad to say about the B Bar Ranch. The two things I will say and only to advise others like our group . If you ride motorcycles ( street bikes ) the eight mile gravel road to the ranch can be challenging. Also , there is no driveway to the house . You have to park and cart your luggage roughly fifty yards to the cabin . But again , besides that ! You seriously cannot go wrong with renting this place .
Such a beautiful property and spacious cabin. It is a little bit more of a drive to get to the East & South area of Yellowstone NP, but definitely a gorgeous drive. The instructions and directions to this place was very detailed and appreciated. A couple suggestions I have would be to also include that the sprinkler system might be on when you arrive and maybe an alternate pathway to the back door from the parking lot. Also, we were told that near by were bears in the valley that people will park along an area by the road to safely view; it would have been very appreciated to have known this information to have this opportunity to do so as well. Thank you for the extra amenities in the house and also having bear spray easily available for use.
