Spacious Casa Mar Vista (~1000 square feet inside + lots of deck space outside) has one of the most breathtaking views of the North Shore Mountains and Keats Island on the Sunshine Coast.

We are nestled a few minutes walk up from the beach in Hopkins Landing and only 1 Km from the nearby Langdale ferry terminal and 5km from Gibsons town centre. You can arrive as a walk-on or ride-on ferry passenger to reach this beautiful getaway. Hopkins Landing beach features Gibsons’ only sandy beach, ideal for any time of the year for relaxation by the water or for romantic evening walks at sunrise or sunset.

Your kids (or the kid in you!) will enjoy exploring the path adjacent to the beach, where they’ll find tree houses to climb that are nestled in the remnant trunks of old majestic cedars or hiking/mountain biking in the nearby rain forests.

Downtown Lower Gibsons is home to the historically acclaimed television series “The Beachcombers”, loaded with coffee shops, a variety of great restaurants that include Molly’s Reach, and plenty of knick-knack shops which is only 5 km away from Casa Mar Vista. If you don’t want to drive or have left the car back home, a public transit bus stop is on Marine Drive immediately beside the property to get to Lower Gibsons, Roberts Creek, and Sechelt.

FEES:

The price is based on two guests.

* $20 per person additional fee applies for more than two guests. No fees for children aged 8 and under.

* For bookings longer than 7 days, reduced pricing applies.

* The place will be spotless upon your arrival. A standard cleaning fee of $125 is charged at booking for up to four hours of cleaning. Additional cleaning fees of $40 per hour will apply to cover extra laundry, linens/towels, recycling, composting, etc.
The additional fee (up to $150) will be deducted from the damage deposit.

Additional cleaning time may result in delayed check-in for the next guests. We kindly request that all guests extend the same courtesies they received to those following them. Thank you for your consideration and understanding.

Lovely getaway near the beach

The views from the property are fantastic! The beach is a short walk away. Our kids appreciated the toys and the trampoline in the yard. Everything was very clean, and communication with the hosts was excellent. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place for Sunshine coast adventure

Our family truly enjoyed the stay. Our host sent us detailed instructions and recommendations on what to do in advance. The house was very well equipped. Hikes, beaches, cafes, breweries, shops are nearby. Definitely, it is a place where our family would happily come back!

What a perfect view that Michael and Ozgur have in their lovely offering to those visiting the Sunshine Coast. Sitting on the patio is truly a gift - Waking up before the sun rises to capture the magic is highly recommended. Incredible hosts, always in touch and truly care about your stay. Amazing view!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Mar Vista! The property is clean and tidy and the kitchen is well stocked. The view is spectacular and we enjoyed spending time on the deck overlooking the ocean. Beach access is easy and our kids had a blast playing in the water. In order to facilitate travel to the property, I would advise future travelers to make a reservation for the ferry at Horseshoe Bay. Overall, this was an amazing property that I would highly recommend to all!

Spectacular views

The sunshine coast is stunning and this property really takes advantage of the views. The hosts are also very responsive. I ran into payment problems using the VRBO app, but Michael Gannon worked with me and VRBO to figure out what was wrong. Once the issue was resolved, my friend and I were able to relax and enjoy our weekend.

The location is very convenient, close to the ferry. The view is beautiful. However there is only one parking spot, and very hard to find a space to park extra cars. Also I would say it is a 2br because the third one is not a room, it is just a queen bed beside down stairs. Overall it is good , clean and cozy.

Great views, easy to get to, spacious, and CLEAN!

The property was beautifully taken care of and the house was SO CLEAN. Karen, the property manager, was very nice and answered my MANY questions promptly. The beach nearby was clean and not in the least bit crowded. Everyone we encountered on the beach was very friendly and we made a lot of canine friends. I was amazed at how close this property was to the ferry terminal, it probably took 1 minute to drive there. It would be super convenient if you wanted to walk on to the ferry and visit here without a car. The only thing is that the hill you have to walk up to get back to the house from the beach is steep! Quite the workout, but well worth it.

Wonderful stay at Casa Mar Vista

My partner and I wanted a nice and relaxing getaway to Gibsons and that was exactly what we got. This place was very close to the Langdale ferry terminal and the directions we received were on point. We stayed in the Upper Level Suite which had an amazing view of the ocean and mountains. It was just gorgeous! The suite was spotless, oh-so-comfortble couch and bed. We spent some time in the kitchen making dinner one night which was fully equipped. We were very impressed with the bbq and I didn't even burn the salmon! There was information regarding places to see, things to do in town that was conveniently placed in a binder. We were very impressed with Casa Mar Vista and will definitely be back when we visit beautiful Gibsons. I rarely write reviews about places I stay in but this is an exception.

Fabulous view and excellent location

This is the 2nd time we have booked this lovely home. We like the proximity to the ferry - in fact you can see the ferries coming and going which is always fun to watch. The home is set up very well with 2 bm up and a nice deck overlooking the view. The kitchen is open to the dining and living area and has everything you need to cook with a nice set of dishes/pots and pans and utensils. There are basic supplies provided. A new washer and dryer too. We have a young grandchild that usually stays with us and we appreciate the high chair a playpen too. Ozgur is always concerned we are enjoying our stay is very attentive should we have any needs. This is a very nice little get away for us to come to the coast from West Van for a little break. I hope to keep coming back :)

Great location - stunning view

We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Mar Vista this last Easter weekend. We headed to the coast with the family to help our daughter on her farm and to have the family together for dinner. We found everything we needed in this lovely home. It's close to the ferry, which is very convenient, in fact you can just watch the ferries all day long from the house. The view of Howe Sound with it's majestic mountains and islands was mesmerizing. The kitchen was fully equipped and there were a few supplies like spices and such already in the cupboards. A new washer and dryer was a big help with the twins. There is a nice big flat screen TV with Netflix so we can all watch our favorite shows at night and a really large deck off the kitchen to enjoy the outdoors. Ozgur and Michael made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Only complaint was the fireplace wasn't working and we do love a nice cozy fire on a cold evening.

Beautiful View

The house was as advertised, great view, close to many activities and the ferry. As advertised, the parking is a little tricky, but we got used to it. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Michael was very good at communicating with us. Although the listing states that there is a downstairs resident, that issue deserves a couple of comments. First, the night we arrived she parked blocking both available spaces and claimed that she did not know anyone was staying upstairs. She moved her car but was not happy. Second, and more important, is that she is a heavy-smoker. When she was smoking on the patio downstairs, her smoke came directly up into our area. On at least two occasions, we had to go inside because the smoke was intolerable. If we had not been out and about until late in the evening on many occasions, we would have wanted to spend more time on the patio and would not have been able to do so because of the smoke. You should also be aware that, in addition to cigarettes, she smoked pot, the smell of which drifted up to our patio. If it were not for this neighbor, we would have given the house five stars.

A wonderful place to stay!

Our only regret about staying at Michael and Ozgur's Casa Mar Vista is that we couldn't stay longer! For a start, Michael and Ozgur are the perfect hosts: warm and generous and so easy to communicate with. Their bright space is inviting, comfortable, well-equipped and spacious. The coastal views are simply stunning - we spent many a happy hour on the deck, playing games and sipping a cocktail or two. A few minutes drive and you'll find excellent beaches and hikes and the lovely town of Gibsons, with it's great coffee shops, restaurants and boutique shops. We will definitely be return visitors! Thank you Michael and Ozgur!

Amazing view

The property was clean and well prepared. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Was listed as 3 bedrooms 2 beds, but is actually 2 bedrooms. Little too far away from Lower Gibsons for walking, but is an easy drive. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing and very relaxing view - would definitely recommend

We loved our stay at Casa Mar Vista, the view is just astonishing and we even spotted a pod of orcas from the living room! There are 2 spacious bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, which is perfect for 2 couples (or a family). I believe there is enough space to accommodate more people if needed. There is everything you need in the kitchen and a large BBQ. We brought our own games but we had so much fun with the ones that were at the property already. It's really close by the ferry terminal so you don't even need a car if you are just looking for a place to stay (and I think there are some buses to go around). But if you have a car, there is a parking spot available too. Michael & Ozgur are very available if any questions too!

Spring break trip

I and my family including my 4 year old and 12 year old had awesome time here for spring break. The place is very clean and bright with natural sun lights and has the most beautiful view of the mountains and ocean. Also location is great. It's close to everything. We would love to come back here.

Wonderful location, beautiful view

We had a wonderful long weekend at Casa Mar Vista. The property is in an excellent location, only a few minutes walk to the ferry and beach. This is definitely a property you could visit without a car, but you'd need either bikes or to use transit to get to the stores. The property itself is well stocked and comfortable for all ages. We really appreciated the little mattress and bedding available for our toddler. If you have little kids I'd recommend a quick run through before letting them loose to move some of the more delicate vases/shells out of reach!

Michael is from the West Coast (via Chile) and Ozgur is from Turkey originally. We have both traveled the world and prefer staying at vacation rental places whenever/wherever is possible.

We are community-oriented people; love meeting new people from all corners of life. We enjoy mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, arts and photography which you get the best of all here on the Sunshine Coast! As avid travelers & parents, we know what families look for while vacationing: very clean, comfortable and enjoyable place for all generations with less breakables, books, toys & board games to keep little ones occupied and a fully equipped kitchen with everything necessary for cooking where you can make yourself 'home' - away from home :)

Why they chose this property

We bought this property because it offers so many lifestyle options for us. There is so much to do in the area for us and our children. When we want to do nothing, we can just stare out forever at the magical view, even during the storm!

What makes this property unique

It is walking distance to the ferry (8-10 minutes). Downtown Vancouver is ~1.5 hours away from our doorstep, which includes the ferry ride and an express bus right downtown. We love having access to the beach and the mountains -- long walks, kayaking to nearby islands, beach-combing, hiking & excellent mountain biking. Gibsons Landing is only 4 km away. We can zoom into town in minutes to grab a hot coffee and croissant, catch a movie, or go for dinner at a bunch of great restaurants.
