Beautiful New Mexico Lodge with 360 degree views
Aragon is a sleepy New Mexico village in the heart of the Gila National Forest. This area is host to some of the best Elk hunting in the United States. The Tularosa Lodge is located on a picturesque hill with a breath taking view of the valley. We offer 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. One king with an ensuite and two smaller bedrooms upstairs that share a bath. Another bath downstairs that has a claw foot soaking tub. There is a large gourmet kitchen open to the Lodge grand living area and a separate large dining area. All of this sits on 5 acres with 2 other homes on the property. One of the other properties is the owners cottage. The Apache Creek store is 5 miles down the road and has a small convenience store that sells beer and wine. The town of Reserve is 20 miles SW on Hwy 12 and has gas, a grocery store and several restaurants. The Lodge will provide privacy and serenity with all the comforts of home.

Rose was born in Los Angeles, however her father, Sam Aragon, was born in Aragon, NM. upon retirement sam left la to enjoy his golden years in the town of his birth where he built this beautiful lodge. Rose started her career as a professional dancer in LA and has toured the world. Her next reinvention of herself was as a caterer in Cambria, CA where she raised her two children. She remodeled the lodge after her father’s passing and has opened her home to traveling guests as The Tularosa Lodge

Looking to get away from it all and enjoy an experience straight out of the wild old west? Aragon, located 20 miles from Reserve which is the County Seat of Catron is an experience that marries nature with all the comforts of home. You will awake to Elk calls and rare large birds of prey. The little village has a church and a small grocery store. The charm of the village and friendly locals will warm you with their smiles. A great place for a family gathering or celebration.
What makes this property unique
Huge Elk inhabit the area of Catron County. This remains one of the prize elk hunting areas in the nation and attracts hunters from all over the world. Many other species of wildlife also inhabit the area. Ideal for nature lovers.
