this is the 3rd or 4th time we've stayed at the property and it never disappoints. everything was clean, all we needed was there and the neighborhood is always peaceful. Great hosts. We will be back again!
This is the second we’ve stayed at Granny’s and absolutely love it. The house is great, nice and cozy, the area is peaceful, and the town is chock full of local eateries, quirky stores, and
The house had such amazing charm to it, the brownies were amazing that was made for us whenever we arrived. Everything we needed was supplied if we didn’t bring our own.
We stayed there for the wedding we went to. It is a little out of the way, but worth it. We did enjoy our stay there. We would stay there again if need be. It was nice to have a flat yard for the kids to play.
My husband, son, daughter in law, niece and her husband had a 3 day fishing trip planned nearby. I suggested this place rather than a hotel so the family would be more comfortable and be able to visit during non-fishing time (something separate hotel rooms just doesn't accommodate). The house was absolutely PERFECT for their trip. Bonita was very communicative (giving very detailed directions as well) and was kind enough to give them an extended check out time when I messed up the reservation and did it through the wrong date. As luck would have it, they got rained out the last day and the extended check out was perfect! Not only was the house close to their fishing destination, it was very clean and comfortable and she even had a plate of brownies waiting on them when they arrived! My husband and son are coming back in October for another fishing trip and he already told me to reserve the house for that trip too! We could not have been happier with the entire experience. They are looking forward to staying again!
Family stayed at Granny Branch Inn so they could fish several days at Cedar Springs. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. It was convenient for fishing and sharing a male bonding experience. Host was easy to contact and very responsive to all questions and concerns. Communication made it easy to plan and check in. Thanks so much!!
Enjoyed peaceful remote location in mountain-farm country. Very scenic locale. Pleasant hosts. House was well furnished, including kitchen. Overall, a nice place for small family gathering. Would return.
This farm house was located in such a great spot. We enjoyed the horses and cows from the side porch. Perfect spot to get our son off the AT and visit for a few days. A+
they even baked us brownies and welcomed us in when we got there.
The house and location were perfect for a weekend get-away. Bonita was easy to contact and the brownies provided at check-in were a great treat after the drive. We had everything we needed for our small group and the fenced yard for the dogs made the stay. We would definitely return and recommend for anyone in the area.
3 of us stayed here while fishing over the weekend. Cute house, nice and quiet just like we wanted. Bonnie is the best owner/property manager you can ask for. Baked a plate of brownies for us. Wifi is surprisingly fast for how remote the location is. 3 phones and 1 laptop was no issue for its bandwidth. Was able to make clear calls no problem.
Perfectly located to explore Mt. Rogers National Recreation Area
If you're looking to stay at a home with character and a wonderful host to explore all this area provides (hiking, horseback riding, fishing, jeep trails), look no further.
While the bones of the home is old, it is one of the cleanest rental homes I've ever stayed. It reminded me of staying at my grandmother's home in rural Appalachia when I was kid except with newer furniture, kitchen hardware, and modern washer / dryer. I loved it!
Our extended family from Maryland and Tennessee met at this home to spend Thanksgiving together. It was a quaint farm house property with adjacent fields of horses and cows. One horse, Red (the owner of a nearby home shared the horse's name), would stroll over to the nearby fence as we stood outside drinking our coffee.
Bonita was terrific to work with! She was out of town while we were there so her neighbor Doris was our contact. Thanks for the brownies, Doris, and thanks for rescuing us when we locked ourselves out.
The house was great with lots of rooms to gather and the fenced back yard was perfect for our dogs.
Only one mile to Jefferson Forest so that was nice for daily walks and lots of beautiful trails within an hour for longer hikes.
All in all, it was wonderful location for our family gathering!!
