Perfect setting for writing, supported by hikes and golf.
The deck, overlooking a wooded valley, replete with sounds of a flowing creek with waterfalls provided an incredible vista and ambient environment for the rustic cabin. Will likely try for another writing getaway soon!
Can’t rate this property high enough. Great location, wonderful deck and view. Excellent communication with property owner. The neighbors, Margaret and spouse, were so helpful and friendly, possibly the best addition to our stay. So much wildlife in the area. We loved every minute of it. The living room space is much larger and more comfortable than the pictures display. So much to do and see in the area, but there were a dew days we just stayed at the cabin to relax because we enjoyed it that much. We’ve vacationed multiple times per year over the past 10 years and have always stayed in VRBO rentals. This was the best experience we’ve had in terms of property owners and neighbors.
If I could score higher, I would. Pictures just don’t do this property justice. We felt at home from the moment we stepped in. Perfect waterfall sound in the background. Hiked from right out the back door. Oh, and the big window view was amazing! Our hosts and neighbors, Marg and Bill, were so sweet and hospitable. Marg even led the boys on a hike. Great food just down the hill and so many great things to see within a few miles. We loved the small town feel. We will definitely be back.
This property is so cozy! The views from the deck are beautiful and the sound of the falls is relaxing! Hiking right out your door. The communication was top notch with the owners. The location is perfect you are so close to all attractions! We loved our time and plan on returning.
We decided to stay here for a few short days for a winter cabin getaway. We had no problem finding the place even arriving in the dark. We arrived at night and were not expecting so much ice near the top of the driveway (was at an incline). Initially our SUV got stuck on some ice. Luckily Margaret appeared from the cabin next door and helped us navigate better. She was gracious enough to let myself and my baby inside while my husband finished parking. The following morning she came and put more sand and salt out for us which was very kind of her. She even came to check on us. We really enjoyed our stay. Communication was great with the hosts and they even informed us about potential snow and ice prior to our arrival. We loved utilizing the fire pit outdoors and the fireplace inside (both gas and easy to use). We also loved cooking in the cabin and were provided with any utensils we might have needed. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The only con we experienced was that some items like spices and condiments in the kitchen were past expiration. However, luckily we had brought our own. However, we would still highly recommend this quaint cabin. We would love to return in the future.
Beautiful setting, deck and lovely cabin tastefully decorated. Ample cooking equipment & comfortables living room w gas fireplace. Only drawbacks are very uncomfortable old droopy mattress in front bedroom & minimal parking -accommodates only one vehicle esp in snowy steep driveway.
Views 😍 so many different things to do in the area
We were there for 5 nights and had the best time. Beautiful views from the wonderful deck. I can’t imagine beating that deck with any vacations in the future. Cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. My 8 year old son and my hound dog had the time of their lives outside. Hope to come back some day.
Our daughter and her family stayed here 3 years ago and loved it. We planned a last minute trip and decided to stay at Bear Run from their recommendations. It did not disappoint. Simple living with a magnificent view of the mountain. Tranquil!
What a wonderful little town . The cabin was so great and so peaceful . I could hear the Water fall. The owners were great and if help was needed they were there. I will return hopefully. Thank you Green Mt. Falls for a great trip!!
We really enjoyed our stay in this quaint cabin in the mountains. Sitting out on the deck was a favorite activity. The hosts were accommodating and the neighbors were friendly. There is plenty to do in the area. We highly recommend this stay!
I couldn’t have asked for a better cabin for our stay in Colorado. Completely isolated from any traffic in the woods. The hosts were great and accommodated all of our needs. I will definitely be recommending this cabin to all of my friends
This cozy cabin is nestled among the pines of Green Mtn Falls. It is peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the deck taking in nature. The cabin is also fairlt close to area attractions, i.e. Pike's Peak, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Garden of the Gods, Olympic Museum, among others. Also, close to good restaurants. Cabin was clean and owners friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a quiet, mountain retreat this cabin will not disappoint.
Cozy cabin - was able to relax, enjoy coffee and cocktails on the deck, hike, bike, golf, make great meals, play some games...... Just what the doctor ordered.
We have never rented a place before, we always stay in hotels. This place has been wonderful, perfectly nested in the mountains surrounded by trees. Even though there are people near by it feels remote and quiet. It was just what we needed and plan on returning.
Stayed here back in September and loved it so much my husband and I came back for his birthday weekend in November. Such a clean, peaceful, and cozy cabin with everything we needed to cook meals and relax. It's a short drive to Woodland Park, Manitou, Pike's Peak, and Colorado Springs. We hope to come back again!
