Loved staying at The Milo Inn! Being steps from great restaurants and live music of Gulfport was ideal. The village is such a special place, maintaining a laid back old Florida vibe. The homeowner was very easy to communicate with and had great suggestions for restaurants. The rental was charming with its eclectic decor and comfortable bedding. We especially enjoyed the updated kitchen and private deck. We can’t wait to come back!
This property is a great location in Gulfport! It is close to everything! Stella’s serves a fantastic breakfast with a mimosa flight and the other shops were great too! The place is simple but has everything you need. The bed is extremely comfortable. The owner, August, went out of his way to help print a parking pass for an event. Highly recommend.
The property owner was available and friendly. The property was a pleasant place to stay and ideally located to walk to shops and restaurants. The outside deck was nice too.
Very comfortable bed and bedding. House was perfect for us, clean and close to lots of restaurants. Our host, August went above and beyond for us when we needed help with our car. Thank you!
We have stayed at the Milo Inn on numerous occasions, and have always had a good experience. It is centrally located - right on Beach Street - and close to a lot of restaurants and bars. The property is clean and nicely decorated.
We really enjoyed this property and August took care of all our needs. It is in a great location to restaurants, bars and the water. Easily accessible to the Tampa airport and close to beaches. Gulfport is a great place to stay
We have stayed at the Milo Inn about a dozen times for both weekend stays and weeklong rentals. It is always clean and welcoming. The Inn is right on Beach Street - walking distance to some good restaurants and bars (with music). Gulfport is also a short drive to Tropicana Field (Rays Baseball), the St. Petersburg Grand Prix, and many other St. Petersburg attractions.
We stayed at the Milo Inn in Gulfport for a long Valentine's weekend. We enjoyed being in the laid back/artsy community of Gulfport – felt like a world away from downtown St. Pete’s, yet only a 10-15 minute drive. The area has been hit by hurricanes in the past year, and you can feel an energy in the community as it repairs the damage. There was a fun Gulfport night market festival while we were there with musicians and street vendors (made it a little harder to park right in front of the Inn, but was totally worth it for the lively community atmosphere.) The Inn/apartment is located in the back above an art gallery. Both the gallery and the apartment are owned by August Vernon, who is a super-nice guy who takes a personal interest that you enjoy his town. He showed us around when we first arrived, made restaurant recommendations and dropped everything to bring us towels, umbrellas and beach chairs during the weekend. The apartment is decorated in a "beachy" distressed style that works in concert with the area (with a comfortable bed.) We found everything worked as advertised, Vernon was a responsive host and we had a comfortable, enjoyable stay.
We enjoyed our stay at the Milo Inn. The location couldn't be better to enjoy this funky town. The property is old, but has an updated kitchen and was clean. The weather was a little chilly the week we were there but the space heaters quickly warmed it up. The deck is so nice as is the garden area.Thank you Vernon
We come to the Milo Inn several times a year for Rays games and the Grand Prix. Gulfport is convenient to downtown St. Petersburg, but it has its own unique atmosphere. There are lots of good restaurants and live music nearby.
The Milo Inn is very centrally located, and the property is always clean. Checking in and out is easy. We plan to return often.
The apartment is spacious, with tons of natural light. Beautiful deck perfect for enjoying coffee and birdwatching in the morning and wine at sunset. We were so comfortable here and we loved Gulfport. Only sad we are leaving.
This property has a great location with access to wonderful restaurants and shops. It would be perfect for a couple because the only bathroom is in the only bedroom.
The trundle bed is surprisingly comfortable, the deck is nice and pretty sunrise views from the dining table. I would recommend getting a full length mirror for somewhere in the house, equipping the kitchen with some essentials like non dairy creamer and fixing the lock. It was tricky at times.
So beautifully located on the Gulfport strip. Great restaurants with music and markets. Great pickleball just down the street. The Yard was lovely. Beautiful plants, trees and bushes. A deck to sit on and enjoy the sun. A little very eclectic bar in the backyard to sit and have an afternoon drink. Also the front porch was just right to people watch. The building is quiet old but nicely done with everything you need. August, who is host/owner was very responsive and helpful from beginning to end. We will return!

Great Place to Stay
We drove into town on a Thursday evening 13th of April and August had already been trying to contact us so they would know when to expect us. August was extremely gracious and willing to answer any question we may have. The Beach Breeze Bungalow was the right place for us during our stay. It sits just off the Main Street in Gulfport behind August's Art Studio. It is in close proximity (walking distance) from all the main restaurants & pubs in Gulfport.
The Bungalow was very clean and had everything we needed. The new appliances and Travertine floors were a pleasant surprise. The Wifi was very good and there was a coffee maker and a Keirug. The floor helped to keep the place cool during the day. The bed was comfy and there were extra blankets for our son to use on the pull out couch in the living room. The Bungalow is perfect for a couple or a small family with one child like we have however, a larger family might want to consider another location due to the single bathroom unless you can make it work.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Great location, poor accommodations
Location right in the center of Gulfport is ideal and the deck was lovely for coffee and cocktails. The rest of the place needs significant improvement. The entry gate was difficult and we used our own WD40 to make it more workable. The shower didn't drain properly. Two adults/two bath towels for 4 nights. The bedroom fan only worked if the wall switch was on but you couldn't use the pull to turn off the fan light so you couldn't run the fan at night. Plenty of plates but minimal glasses and coffee cups. The main room A/C didn't work. The place wasn't particularly clean, although we paid a cleaning fee. The decoration is shabby/chic but more shabby than chic. For the cost of the nightly rental, you can do much better. The owner/agent isn't investing enough time or effort in the property.
