Our stay was great! It was nice after a day of hiking to come back and relax by the bonfire. There is not a lot to do right in Port Wing but just up the road in Herbster and Cornucopia there are more options. The washer and dryer didn't work well but overall a good experience..
Stayed here a few times with the family now and it's always great! There's been a few small updates over the years which are always a welcome 😊. Very nice & clean, plus kitchen is stocked reasonably well for every day needs. Laura is the best on communications too (very quick to help).
Lovely, well appointed cabin at the South Shore! Perfect place for a little retreat! Loved how close it was to the lake-and great access for kayaking. Highly recommend!
The cabin is adorable. Very clean. Kitchen well equipped. My little dog and I walked to Lake Superior several times. Short walk, less than 5 minutes. Nice paths to walk in the woods also. I was very pleased. 😃
We love it. It was very cosy, quiet, so many interesting decorations, and everything what we needed was in place. Kitchen was amazing. Beach, fishing, mushroom hunting was just around the corner.
As always, a great stay! Weather didn't cooperate but still enjoyed fully. Lots of reading, napping and cocktails! Thank you - can't wait to come back!
Thank you Laura for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. It was comfortable, well stocked, well located and had everything we needed and wanted. We used a canoe and bikes, two perks that we weren’t expecting. We had a wonderful time.

Relax
This was the most relaxing vacation I have been on. Even though the weather didn't cooperate, being in front of the fireplace was enough. This place had everything included and the location was only a short walk from Lake Superior. Will definitely here again!
Enjoyed our stay in quaint northwoods cabin. ,Was clean and neat, well-supplied and equipped and reasonably private. A nice trail behind cabin to walk dogs and 2 minutes from beach. Everything worked. Beds are small and short but adequate.
Nice firepit for campfires. Would recommend this for 2 people but would be tight for more.
This was a great home base. 30 minutes to the apostle Islands and 45 minutes to Superior. The cabin has lots of privacy but is only a minute from town. It had everything we needed and plenty of room. Enclosed front porch is a delight.
Put-in places for the canoes were a little further than I imagined, but she does have a canoe cart or throw it in the back of your pickup.
I highly recommend this quiet VBRO.

This is a really cute cabin with all of the comforts of home. The kitchen was exceptionally nice. Furniture was comfortable; fans in each room helped as it was a little warmer than expected for the time of year. We loved the fire pit out back.
I do wish it were further away from the road/ATV trail, and my partner was disappointed that that we couldn't just go out the door and safely walk the dogs much (just a short path from the back of the property that just ended up at the road).
We had a loss of internet, but the owner was very communicative and tried to get it fixed. No big deal except we didn't have maps and were driving blind in the area until we reached Cornucopia to get directions. Was a good reminder not to rely on technology in the woods - I should've brought my own printed maps with me.
Overall, we had a lovely time.

Lovely cozy cabin in excellent location
Had an excellent time at this lovely little get a away. Cabin was comfy for 4 adult ladies. The kitchen had all the necessities needed for home cooking and cocktail making. Enjoyed time on the deck with a fire as well as in the back yard by the big fire pit. Close to lots that Northern WI has to offer. Drove to Bayfield one day and hit the small town along the way. Spent a day in Iron River as well. Owner VERY responsive and easy to work with. Will definitely look into this again!

Charming Cottage, perfect vacation getaway!
Stayed at this cottage this past weekend with 5 girlfriends and had such a wonderful time. The cabin was so charming and felt like home away from home and was perfectly depicted in the pictures. I loved the decorations and all the little extras the owner provided. We were in walking distance to the Marina, and the owner also provided directions to a small beach (one morning we did yoga on the beach and were the only ones there!) There were 2 canoes that were provided and many access points to access the lake, there was a firepit on the back deck and wood was provided, the outdoor furniture had nice cushions, and the area was so peaceful. On Saturday, we we drove to the quaint town of Cornucopia and took a catamaran trip to the caves of the Apostle Islands. This trip was fantastic and well worth the cost - the sailboat carried 2 dinghy's and we were able to get into the dinghy's and paddle through the caves (what an experience!) On Sunday, we took the short drive back to Cornacopia and had a wonderful breakfast at the Village Inn and shopped at Ehlers General store. I highly recommend renting this cottage and exploring the beauty of nature all around it. I have returned home relaxed and rejuvinated. I will definitely be back again!
