Back right up to our condo deck and make loading/unloading a breeze! Enjoy the outdoor Hot Tub with stunning mountain views, gas grill, game room, & fashionable new lobby. This is a perfect family location (easy walk to all trails and lifts). Enjoy easy access (160 steps) to the semi-private upscale West Wall Lift and play area. The free shuttle bus stops right out front (see Pic).

Pull into our covered Porte Cochere and grab a luggage cart or drive right up to our deck and make unloading your gear a breeze. You'll notice our contemporary new lobby featuring bold colors and a bright, burning fireplace. Take a ride up to our condo just steps from the elevator. Our welcoming entryway provides a boot bench, ski racks, and coat hooks. The Master bedroom has one of the most comfortable queen size beds ever and a view of falling snow. Sleepers appreciate the blackout shades so go ahead, sleep like never before. If it's time to refresh, you should know, we are the home of the super-cool LED Shower Head? Step onto the deck and enjoy the views or head to the hot ♥ tub and watch the sunset on Mt. Crested Butte. Fire up the Grill while looking at our majestic mountain or explore our well-equipped kitchen with most everything a cook would want or need. If you want to go into town, simply walk out of Wood Creek Lodge and catch the FREE shuttle bus to the base village and downtown Crested Butte just a few steps from our entrance. (A beautiful thing about CB is you really don't need a car once you get here (no parking hassles or slippery driving, no worries about drinking and driving, just to get a bite to eat). We know you will enjoy our little slice of heaven!

The new Wood Creek Lodge is nestled at the base of Mt. Crested Butte and within steps of the lifts and base village. Explore everything the mountain has to offer right outside your door. In addition to the amenities at the mountain base village, the quaint town of Crested Butte is just 2 miles away by car or FREE shuttle bus that runs every 20 min.

Famous for Festivals like the Wildflower Festival, Food & Wine Festival, the Summer Concert Series, and the Arts Festival among others. Take advantage of exciting white water rafting, mountain biking, horseback riding, great golfing on a Robert Trent Jones course. Fabulous food and nightlife beckons and the free CB shuttle stops right outside our condo for the 2-mile ride to town. This is a prime condo in a perfect location, folks. This is an excellent value and we were very pleased. The unit is in a condo building. It's a very short walk to the West Wall lift, and from there you can access the whole Crested Butte ski mountain. If you prefer to go to the main base, there is a free local shuttle that stops just across the side street (the condo is on a corner). The unit was very well equipped; far better than most. The owner is his own property manager. He was very responsive and communication (when needed) was prompt. We liked that the unit had a real wood-burning fireplace. The owner was excellent in not only restaurant suggestions, but also in advising to do your main grocery shopping in Gunnison, before you do the last bit of drive to Crested Butte. There is a grocery in CB and an Ace Hardware, but both are expensive. Great for pick-up things while in CB, but do your main shopping in Gunnison. Because this unit has a real fireplace, pick up a box of pressed logs (like DuraFlame) and a few bundles of firewood in Gunnision too, rather than buying in CB. That being said, the town of Crested Butte is really great to experience. It's a 5 minute drive from Mount Crested Butte (where the skiing and condo are) in your own car, or you can take the free bus shuttles.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. It was an easy walk to the West Wall lift, and the bus up to the base comes every 30 minutes and is very reliable. I would definitely say here again.

We LOVE the love shack!
This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in Crested Butte! The condo was cozy and stocked with everything you need. Walking distance to the resort and a very short drive to downtown CB. The owner was great with communication and gave great dinner/bar recommendations.

My husband and I had a great stay, the condo is perfect size and great location. Easy drive, about 5-10 minutes, down the hill to town. We rented snowshoes and went for a hike at the end of Gothic rd which was so close and easy to get to. Will definitely be back! Thanks Ray

A terrific place to stay!
We loved our stay at The Love Shack! Ray provided lots of helpful information throughout the time we booked and when we arrived to stay. There is a binder with helpful information in the condo, as well. The location is perfect in Crested Butte-the condo is right on the shuttle route and the stop is right by the driveway. It makes it so easy to get downtown to eat and shop. It is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and it was very clean. It was so nice to come in after hiking to relax and cook a meal. We would definitely return here!

The Love Shack was a great place to stay in Crested Butte it’s in a great location just as you enter Mt Crested Butte. The condo has everything you need it’s very clean and cozy. The host was very attentive and responsive to all communication. Crested Butte is an idyllic Colorado Mountain town if you haven’t been you have to check it out you won’t be disappointed and stay at the Love Shack it’s really a perfect place to stay with an awesome host! 5 stars across the board!

Great location and communication
We enjoyed our stay at Crested Butte. We especially liked the location. It's close to the resort and easy to find. The walk to the lift was short and we skied back after walking across a street (we created the path - not for everyone). Ray was a responsive and accommodating host and we found the space to be bigger than we expected. There are two couches and the entryway has space for equipment and boots and boot bags. There's also a deck and slider with a view. There are plenty of towels and linens and laundry facilities outside the unit for a fee. We didn't see many other people during our stay. It was quiet and there was plenty of parking. Overall, we recommend and would stay here again. Thank you Ray!

Perfect place for hitting the steeps of CB.
Walking distance of lifts is exactly what we were looking for and this place delivered. Mother Nature was showing off, giving us 9” of fresh powder during our stay. We really enjoyed our stay, the condo was very comfortable for two and convenient to the west wall lift once we figured out to take the path from near the hot tub to the side street. We had no issues during our stay. The fireplace was not working but, per the signs, it was a whole building issue. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Late Summer Weekend
We stayed here over Labor Day weekend. The condo was quaint and clean and walking distance from the lifts. We mountain biked one day and did the disc golf course on the mountain the next. The kitchen was well stocked and we had what we needed to make snacks and meals between activities.

Raised in Canada, schooled in Florida, lived in North Carolina, Maryland, Florida and currently reside in Texas. BUT always wanted an all-season mountain retreat. We never could find the perfect place - until we found CB!

Colorado is just awesome and we decided to shoot our first album cover in Crested Butte because it is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world. CB is a place where time has stood still. it's almost unreal how helpful, friendly and honest everyone you meet is. It's a place where you can still leave your front door unlocked without concern. It's amazing and reminds me of my homeland growing up - we never locked our doors either.

Why they chose this property

Being from Canada I appreciate the great outdoors. Texas in the summer is like living on the face of the sun! Winters are unsatisfying. Having traveled extensively all over the world we always kept an eye open for a mountain paradise. We found that in Mt. Crested Butte. CB is stunning! Quite simply, the most beautiful area we've ever seen. Breath-taking mountain vistas, world class hiking & biking trails, phenomenal restaurants, bright sunny days, warm friendly locals, and crisp cuddle-worthy nights all added up to our little slice of heaven that we'd like to share with YOU!

What makes this property unique

Let's face it, we were attracted to the ability to walk to the ski lift from our condo. Once summer came we realized the proximity to Crested Butte Mountain Resort base village was of similar benefit in the summer. We walk over to the lifts that carry our mountain bikes uphill and our visitors on sightseeing adventures. Terrific walking trails are right out back as well. A Robert Trent Jones designed golf course is nearby as are Ziplines, horseback rides, white-water rafting, rock climbing, orienteering, and much more.

I must confess that I hate driving and having to search for a parking spot. And when on vacation I don't want to have to worry about drinking and driving which is why we love the free shuttle bus that runs year-round from our front door to downtown CB. Even though it's only 2 miles I enjoy not having to drive. CB is unique in that you really don't need a car. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes (in winter) and goes everywhere you NEED to go. Coming from Dallas where were drive EVERYWHERE, this is a treat!
And, Not to put too fine a point on it but this is different than any other mountain town I've been to, in that the locals and tourists coexist on the same plane and actually seem to enjoy each others company without indifference or resentment. It could just be the weed but in any case, it's very refreshing.
