About this property

Mountain View Cabin at Paris Montana® Luxury Lodge

Just up the path in a grove of Aspen, on the hillside with an unobstructed view of the Beartooth Mountains and the soothing sounds of Rock Creek running through, is a wild and wonderfully genteel place called Paris, Montana.

Conveniently located just off highway 212, just 13 miles north of Red Lodge in Roberts, MT, Paris Montana is your perfect getaway glamping destination or base camp on the road through the Beartooth Mountains linking Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

Mountain View, , one of our four luxury cabins, is decorated with French antiques and designer classics. Drift to sleep in the fresh mountain air between high thread-count sheets in our converted king-sized French antique Louis VX bed from the late 1800s, lulled by the sounds of Rock Creek. Settle into Le Corbusier “relaxing chair” with a good read, or wander the grounds to experience the abundant sights and sounds of nature.

(Please note: the Mountain View Cabin sits atop a hillside and you'll need to be able to traverse set of steps to enjoy the views.)

Week in Montana

Great property!! We were looking for privacy in a location close to a small town. Red Lodge is a great place to hang out. Beartooth pass is incredible! Woke up one morning to a buck laying by the front porch.

Cute spot for myself and my daughter!

Overall, this was exactly what I was looking for as a quiet, cute spot for my daughter and I to spend some time alone and enjoy each other's company. We both really enjoyed it! Only issues were some communication issues in the beginning because didn't have cell service to Google Map the place, so make sure you know where it is and communicate with the owners well as to when you will arrive BEFORE you get there. Also, spiders/dead bugs around window sills, etc. kinda bothered me a little, but it is a cabin. The owners were very nice and helped with anything we asked for, and allowed us our own space to enjoy the very cute cabin.

View of the country side is good. Folks are friendly!

Not as described on the web site. This cabin is in need of some tender loving care. It has great potential, but needs lots of maintenance. It is tastefully decorated. The interior sq. footage is small. It is not spacious for unpacking luggage, as there is no closet space. The description states not for handicapped, I would say, you need to be in tip top shape to climb that bank up to the cabin, about 30 feet of poorly designed steps (pavers and mud).

Cute cabin. Comfy bed. Unique touches in decor.

We stayed a night at this cabin on our way into Yellowstone. We entered through the north east entrance and then exited the west entrance so the location was convenient. Even though it's 80 miles between the cabin and Yellowstone... they are 80 beautiful miles. We were driving from the Missoula Montana area so this was more of a stopover than anything. It was a soft place to fall at the end of a long day of driving. We brought our groceries in and enjoyed dining on the patio overlooking the views. There is a Keurig available for coffee in the morning so don't bother packing your own. Sweet getaway....

Nice property but watch out for a last minute switch in accomodations

We booked and paid for the Paris cabin as advertised on VRBO Home Away in advance; however, at the last minute (literally a couple of days before our arrival) the owners stated that they had developed a problem with an underground spring that made the stone steps leading up the hillside to the Paris cabin unsafe . They asked us if we would be willing to stay in the Montana cabin, which they stated had the exact same layout, instead. We thanked them for considering our safety and said of course. However, we were surprised to find that instead of being in a secluded location like the Paris cabin, the Montana cabin was located literally a few feet from the owners' home, making it a much less attractive location. No adjustment in price was offerred. In addition, we were surprised to learn that the Paris cabin that we had rented and paid for, was being used by another guest. This made us think that the owners had not been entirely truthful when they asked us if we would be willing to switch cabins. So, while the accomodations were comfortable, we would caution future guests against accepting a last minute switch in accomodations. We also believe that some sort of discount should have been offerred to us since we did not get what we paid for, and access to the Paris cabin was clearly safe, since the guest that they rented it out to (after we had booked and paid for it) had no trouble negotiating the steps.

Very chic, comfortable, and relaxing. Decorated with exquisite lux cabin decor happy details!

I would recommend this cabin to anyone. It was a great, relaxing experience in a what seems to be a remote location but is actually very close to red lodge if you need anything. The hosts are especially hospitable and include lots of little details to sweeten the stay. The bed is extraordinarily comfortable! Enjoy coffee on your private porch in the morning with a peaceful view. Thank you Paris Montana!

Great

Very cute. In their back yard yet very private and quite. Interior was super fun and nice with great touches. The soaps and linens where awesome. Two pans need to replaced but otherwise great. They also own a store called Paris. I wish they would have told us sooner so we could take advantage of the discount for renters. Jim Linhoff

Excellent time away

Needed a place to stay where we could have access to Yellowstone for our anniversary but also to have a relaxing stay for the evenings. Was greeted when I arrived and informed that the host was available if anything was needed, otherwise we would be left alone during our stay. The cabin was at the top of the hill with a beautiful view of the valley below and extremely quiet and very clean appearance on the exterior. When we entered the cabin, we were greeted with a wonderfully appointed room that was clean and refreshing from any hotel room I have ever stayed. Full kitchen if desired with a small fridge and as others have stated - great linens. Overall, this was a fantastic solution for the time away that we needed and exactly what we were looking for. The approach into the property through Roberts seems a little sketchy at first but once you cross the bridge into Paris, it is a different view of where you are staying. Red Lodge is close enough for any meals, fuel, groceries, etc and its a great town to visit in the early evening to walk. Anyone wanting to avoid the crowds in a hotel yet want the luxury of a great room should give this a try. You also have the ability to tell your friends that you took your wife to PARIS for your anniversary!!

Wonderfully Peaceful,Romantic and Relaxing

My husband and I needed a night away after a long weekend of celebrating our daughters graduation. We went to the cabin which was very easy to find and it was such a peaceful welcoming. We headed into Red Lodge to have pizza. After we had a drink and pizza we went back to the cabin. Sunk into the most comfy bed ever. We had a good rest we walked down to the river for a good soak for the tired feet in the water. Saw a wild turkey and many wonderful singing birds. In the morning we had coffee and made breakfast. Sat at the table with the sweet breeze coming in the windows and songs of the birds. This is just what we were looking for!!! Thank you Grant & Heidi We will be booking for our 15th Anniversary!!

Nice little Getaway.

The Paris cabin was really nice- SO much better than staying in a hotel. We only stayed one night, but we had everything we needed. The bed was SUPER comfy and the furnishings were SO neat! The river isn't as close as the pictures make it look, but it was still awesome. The steps up to the Paris cabin were a little rickety, so be careful as you climb. :) We would love to go back and stay longer!

Weekend Stay

We loved our weekend stay at the Paris. It was very easy to find and only a few minutes from Red Lodge. The cabin is lovely and very comfortable. The owners were very friendly and saw that we had everything we could want. We highly recommend it.

Quiet, clean, comfortable

We really enjoyed our quick night stay at this cabin. It wasn't far away from Roberts or Red Lodge but felt very secluded. We spent time on the porch enjoying the silence while enjoying a nice cup of coffee or two..or three:) There is no cell service in the cabin but a strong wifi signal. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. I definitely would recommend.

Charming Little Cabin

This is a beautiful little cabin - very well equipped - and near a lovely stretch of Rock Creek. The bed is really comfy with great linens. There is a small kitchen that had everything I needed. It is outside of Roberts, Montana - which unfortunately does not offer much - but about a fifteen minute drive from Red Lodge, which is a great little town. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. There are some fairly steep stairs to the cabin, so you need to be mobile, and it would not be comfortable for more than two people.

Very peaceful

We stayed one night at the mountain view cabin to celebrate our anniversary. We loved the setting, it was so peaceful! We loved listening to the birds and the little creek that runs behind the cabin. The location is great, it was so easy to run in to Red Lodge or Roberts for food or fun! The cell signal and wifi strength weren't very good in the cabin (they were a little better on the porch) but we didn't mind. Sitting on the porch drinking coffee and watching birds was entertainment enough for us! The furniture was so comfortable, in fact the comfy bed and pillows might have been my favorite part! Heidi was great to work with and easy to reach when we had questions.

delightful stay

Our stay at this property was delightful. It is out of the mainstream of traffic, and therefore, very quiet and private. It was exactly as described online. We will definitely plan to stay there again sometime when we need a get-away from work and crowds. There was plenty of hiking nearby, and we spent some time by Rock Creek just listening to the water.

Would Stay here over and over!

I was so happy when I drove up the dirt road driveway to the cabins. It was just the right amount of seclusion, not too far away from town, but far enough to enjoy the quiet. The cabins were clean and cozy. The bed was a dream, it made you feel like you were sleeping in a cloud. You can hear the river faintly in the distance. I truly felt like I was at 5 star resort. Other establishments should stay here to see how it's done.

Fun stay!

We had a lovely two-night stay at the cabin. Heidi & Grant are the friendliest hosts you could hope for. The cabin is nicely furnished and spotless. We loved hanging out on the porch in the morning drinking coffee and reading and drinking wine in the evening watching the sun go down. It's a short drive to Red Lodge and there is even a new little bistro in Roberts with great food and wine. Peaceful and relaxing. We will be back!

Great place to rest and relax..

My wife and stayed here while visiting the Red Lodge Montana area. It was a great place to stay, with a very relaxed, atmosphere, very comfortable bed, great interior décor and all the amenities you would expect for a private romantic getaway. Bring some groceries and you won't even have to leave, with a well equipped kitchen in the cabin. Views to the mountains are excellent. We were still seeing snow capped mountains in July from the deck. There is a creek nearby sound the setting makes for a relaxed, refreshing getaway. You won't be disappointed...

A little piece of Heaven.

The lodges are situated along a quiet country road, just outside the little town of Roberts. From the minute we saw the Paris Montana sign, with its signature steer skulls, and drove up the rise onto the property, we knew this was going to be a special place to stay. The cabins are located in a fairytale grove of aspens and each is secluded and private. We stayed in the top cabin for ten nights and I didn't want to leave. Why? Where to begin?... The cabin was gorgeous... Heidi, the creative brain behind Paris Montana, had hand-picked the furnishings... A ravishing king-sized French bed clothed in real linen, complete with pack saddle blanket rolls. An amazing French dresser covered in cow hide with a matching Corbusier lounging chair (fantastic for having a cosy read). A beautiful table and chairs for two, upholstered in hessian. Pictures of John Wayne and an Indian chief on the walls. Luxury touches such as fluffy white towels, a fabulous bar of scented soap to unwrap and a welcome bar of maple smoked bacon chocolate (I know! It was delicious). The whole ambience was a perfect hybrid of French chateau in miniature and American cowboy dream. The views from the cabin... I've been to twenty four states in America and travelled around sixteen thousand miles on all the road trips we've done but I could have sat on the porch and gazed forever at the Beartooth Mountains, the sunsets and the rolling hills. We saw deer, humming birds and jays in the grounds and, on one memorable night, my husband called me outside to look at the Milky Way, burning as clear and bright as a bucket of spilt diamonds. Back to more mundane things... The cabin was spotlessly clean and the kitchen cupboards contained all the equipment needed to make a meal for two. I especially loved the rustic cutlery and ordered some for myself. That's another great thing about these cabins... if you fall in love with the furniture, you can buy it! We had some great breakfasts at the Lost Village Saloon, a short stroll away in Roberts. I would also recommend the Regis cafe for breakfasts in Red Lodge and the Carbon County Steakhouse for the best steak ever. There is also a great supermarket in Red Lodge, trails to bike and hike, Yellowstone Park an hour and a half away and fishing on the banks of the creek in the grounds of Paris Montana. We will certainly be back!
