Short family getaway
The overall stay was great, besides, a few minor details, but Glenda replied, and they were taken care of. The cabin served its purpose. It’s very rustic and far off the grid if you like that kind of stuff. Kids enjoy the pool two days on the fire pit at night. Great stay. Thank you again Glenda ..

Ok stay overall. But don't recommend. Very run down.
Overall the house was very much like the pictures demonstrate. But the house is very run down and needs renovating as the front steps on the porch are on the verge of collapsing and can very much easily cause an injury to those staying there. Cleanliness was solid overall but the house does have a very severe field mouse problem and every night we woke up we would see their poop all over the place. Only one shower of the 2 was fully functional as the water pressure was terrible in the upstairs bathroom. Overall okay stay for the cost considering most stays for this amount of people are much more expensive.

Rainy relaxing retreat
We had a short vacation with family and a few friends. The house was rustic and comfortable. Even though it stormed the first 2 days and we couldn't go out, the lack of wifi forced 5 teenagers to talk and play games WITH EACH OTHER. So win. Last full day was perfection. The grounds are beautiful and pool relaxing. Pool table also a plus.

Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities
the pool was awful, cloudy, slime on the bottom of pool, slugs under the rim defenatly not taken care of, the bottom floor bedroom smelt of mold, there was mold in the bathrooms, the cabin was very rustic, nice, the futon smelled of cat urine, which they came and washed, don't use the grill it blew up in my son's face burnt the hair on his arms, it went out and he tried to restart it and it blew up, the area was nice and secluded, nice yard for the kids to play in, couldn't lock the front door, unless you hit it with a hammer was a dead bolt, there is a bees nest on the outside porch, which is understandable for being in the woods, they had a great care pkg for the upstairs bathroom, plenty of blankets and towels, coffee pot i wouldn't use, mold in that, the washer and dryer was useful, half the outlets don't work, lights are very dim in the kitchen, its a great place to be if your renting a cabin, need some tlc, expecially the pool,

Great for a guys weekend!
We stayed in this Warrensburg home for a guys weekend, it was perfect for what we needed. The home was clean, offered large kitchen, living room, and plenty of space for sleeping the 12 of us. The property is relatively private offering a fire pit, swimming pool, pool table, ample yard space and parking. I rated the experience as a 5 but it is worth mentioning for those who are interested that there is NO cellphone service (multiple carriers), we were able to utilize the Wifi but the connection wasn't the greatest. The rafting company was 10 minutes away, liquor/grocery about 15 min and Lake George was 25 min away, checking in and out was painless. Thanks again.

Could be a beautiful place with some maintenance
The house has some issues. With some tlc could be a great place. Where some issues with water leaking from plumbing problems could not use pool table. Porches are in poor condition due to age of wood. Was some mold or mildew issues due to water leaks. Mattresss are old and worn out.

Family getaway to unplug and recharge
Overall, our stay was exactly what we wanted. One thing to note is that the service around the property is nonexistent so keep that in mind if that's important to you. Wifi is available at the property but it can be difficult when there are more than a few people trying to connect. The kids had so much fun in the pool and my family loved the privacy the property offers as well as the fire pit. The home has a very rustic, cabin-in-the-woods vibe to it. Glenda was very attentive and quick to respond to any questions I had. One thing I will note is that the home can get humid/warm at times especially downstairs but there are ACs and fans around the home to help combat this so it's not too bad. The cabin had everything we needed. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely book again!

Truly enjoyed our stay
This is truly a rustic house. It reminds me of a camping cabin, only much bigger. It was perfect for 12 of us (6 adults and 6 teens), and the rustic interior was perfect for 5 teen boys. The fridge stayed nice and cold and we cooked out on the grill every day (deck is nice and big) and made salads inside. We could fit 10 around the table. The yard is huge and surrounded by woods so it is nice and private. Bring outdoor games! I wish I had. There is absolutely no cell phone service, which I loved. Made the kids get outside, go swimming or play board games, etc. The pool is huge and awesome. Kids were constantly swimming. We drove to the grocery store in town a few times (about 20 minutes) and went to Lake George for a day (about 30 minutes- beautiful drive). If you like to shoot pool, bring a small cue stick as it's a small space. Kids enjoyed the pool table. We bought fireworks at the grocery store and had our own show in the yard for July 4. We really enjoyed our time here. I gave Glenda feedback on any issues we had, which were small (like can opener needed to be replaced and one side of table needed to be fixed). Thank you- our 4 day stay was just what we needed!

Old House
Stayed for 3 nights with friends and family. Check in process is okay. The house is clean, all a/c were on. The pool is not that clean so I have to contact the manager and that’s the time they cleaned it. There’s only 3 bedrooms not 4, not a man cave but a pool table in a small space in the basement and no gym as what was advertised at the time of booking. Kitchen is complete with pots and pans. As much as we want to use the dishwashing machine, we can’t because there’s only 1 pc. of wash pod. They only supply 1 paper towel and 2 dish towels. We did a lot of cooking and eating so we just have to wash everything by hand. Front door is fine with locks but the back door’s knob fell. I messaged the manager and she said it will be fixed but nobody came so my husband fixed it. 2 unknown people claiming to be workers came by to check on the property and we reported to the manager but she never replied regarding that matter. Over all the communication with the manager during our stay in the property is not good. Expect all the creaking noise every time you walk because it is an old house.

Slightly less than “rustic”, but overall ok!
We are an easy going family- we have a farm, spend our time outside- so the style and location of this house appealed to us for a 3 night visit. I started out upbeat, thinking the house was “quirky” with crooked stairs, wobbly door knobs, and squeaky floors. It was clean, kudos to cleaning crew. This house felt like it was a step above a seasonal hunting camp. A few quick fixes or easy updates would help a lot! Some notes to next visitors: upstairs shower needs all hot water, only drips of cold water to be comfortable; downstairs showers has the H/C faucets backwards… all still “quirky”, laugh it off. My 2 biggest complaints are how uncomfortable the upstairs bed was, and the dampness of the downstairs. The bed was lumpy, not something my husband and I looked forward to after being busy and hot all day! My son slept downstairs and woke up each morning with a sore throat, which went away as we got outside. It’s been a humid summer with almost daily rain-it’s totally a the struggle to keep things dry! Bunk bed room was fine for my daughter. There is no phone service while in most of that area so plan ahead- learn the roads as you drive around. Spotty GPS kept trying to tell us the house was on the other side of the road! I think the ad said weak WiFi but there was none. The house was sufficient. Obviously not fancy, we didn’t expect fancy. I didn’t mind the ants on the counters, but the mouse poop on the oven on the last day had me ready to pack up and head home!

Good, but not for us!
Let’s start with all the positives first. Check-in process was as easy as it could be. Kitchen, utensils, appliances were great! Living room was comfortable. Two bathrooms made it very convenient for the family. Washer, dryer worked great. It seemed to be centrally located between Lake George, Gore Mountain, and Lake Luzerne. Overall the property was clean and spacious. Having pets with us was a huge plus. Things that we felt were inconvenient and a bit unsafe. It is very far and remote if you want to be at Lake George multiple times a day. Driving up to two hours everyday got tiring. There is no landline. Cell phone service was nonexistent for us. Internet was down the first day and spotty for the rest of the stay. We had two kids with us and two elderly parents. This made it unsafe for us as we felt completely disconnected incase of any emergencies. The upstairs bathroom got damp by the end because it doesn’t have an exhaust fan. The heat was not working in that bathroom either. There was a new replacement baseboard heater leaning towards the wall and uninstalled. The pool got green by the second half of the stay. We couldn’t use it earlier due to weather and other activities. This is a good property if someone has a different situation than ours. We will not be booking it again because of our unique requirements. We did leave a generous tip.

Rustic is an understatement
I sent an email to the owner after we checked out, I did not get a response. The house needs a lot of work, included the windows that do not have screens so you can not open them. The upstairs does not have any screens there for you can not open the windows except for the small window in the bathroom. Unless you want a house full of bugs. The downstairs bathroom, the floor is rotting out. There was ants along the counter almost every day. The back door does not lock at all. The deck to the pool has a good size hole in it and the deck door does not properly close. Also the chairs around the pool area are not in the best shape, can not even sit in them!

Wonderful cabin in the woods
We planned a ski trip to Gore mountain and found this gem! Clean, comfortable and great location. It was about 25 minutes to Gore and 25 minutes to Lake George depending on weather. Property owner is very responsive and helpful! They have all you need, however we did bring extra towels to use for a 3night stay. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet and pretty spot to spend time!

Fantastic Adirondack Getaway Near Daggett Lake Campsite
I rented this home for a long weekend visiting family who are seasonal campers at the Daggett Lake Adirondack Preserve. The house was spacious with lots of beds. Mulitple master bedrooms including one in the basement with its own bathroom for privacy. The pool was also a really nice amenity. Wifi / internet was low bandwidth as to be expected in the mountains. Great communicative host. We eeally enjoyed our stay.

A super clean cabin in the woods
My family and I traveled to Glenda's cabin over the 4th of July holiday. As soon as we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised at how immaculately clean the cabin was. It is rustic, but in no way is it shabby. The cabin worked perfectly for our group. There is a bedroom in the basement (the red bedspread) with a full bathroom, and two more bedrooms on the second floor (the bunk bed room and the bedroom with the blue bedspread) with another full bathroom. The parents don't usually get their own space on vacation, so that was a welcomed surprise! There isn't a bathroom on the main floor, but that was not an issue for us. The kitchen is stocked with a lot of dinnerware and cookware, but you'll need to bring everything else if you plan on cooking (Tupperware, plastic baggies, foil, cling wrap, spices (including salt and pepper), condiments, etc.) I'd also recommend bringing a basic tool kit as there was not anything like that in the house. Also bring a pocket knife if you plan on whittling sticks for smore's. The weekend was cold and rainy but the kids still went in the pool and loved it. The cabin is about 20 mins away from Lake George which was perfect for us. It was very busy downtown, so it was nice to come back to the secluded cabin. There is a stream not far behind the house and many beautiful wooded hiking options. If our weekend wasn't so rainy, we would have enjoyed the outdoors much more! There is WiFi... but it's the guest access WiFi that is not password protected and as other reviewers said, it is quite slow. There is also not any cell service at the house (ATT or Verizon) and there is not a house phone. That was challenging when ordering dinner on our first night. We had to drive into Warrensburg and order food in person to take back to the house. On our last night when the rain finally stopped, we made a fire in the little fire pit and roasted smore's and told ghost stories. The wooded backdrop was the perfect setting. Even during a cold, rainy weekend, we loved staying at Glenda's cabin. If you get the chance to go when it's sunny, the outdoor pleasures are endless.

I've lived in this area all my life and never want to take for granted the beauty of the Adirondacks. We started the vacation rental business 7 years ago and have met the most wonderful and interesting people from all over the globe. It's a lot of work to get things right for our guests , but so rewarding when we do. It's a great feeling to know the rest of the world also appreciates the Adirondack Mountains and likes to visit here. Thanks so much. Glenda Duell

Why they chose this property

It started out to be an investment property and it still is. We've thoroughly enjoyed the vacation rental business and decided to add this property , as well.

What makes this property unique

10 Acres of Rural hiking and solitude, but a guest can drive to most of the Lake George attractions in 10 to 15 minutes. The best of both worlds.
